  1. [23:31] The priestess is standing before her pew, per usual. Her head is tilted towards the water, staring at her reflection. Goldens are open, but glossed over-- deep in thought.
  2.
  3. Raya was meditating.
  4. (Raya L'Paix)
  5. [23:32] The Regent would enter into the Church, an air of benevolence always around them as they moved further into the area. The sky blue eyes would settle upon the priestess, giving Raya a nod. A gloved hand moved, retrieving from their side a box of green metal and tyrium veins. Atop would be the form of a skull.
  6.
  7. "Greetings Raya. I was hoping that you might assist me with something."
  8. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  9. [23:34] Blink, blink. Her eyes would snap back to attention, pulled once more into the realm of reality. It was always a harsh transition-- from symbiosis with the Lifestream back to speaking with others-- but Raya was adept at hiding it from most.
  10.
  11. Ikkaku would surely be able to notice, however.
  12.
  13. "Oh?" She asked, hands clasping together. A ball of Holy water would emerge from the basin, forming besides her head. It was held together by telekinetic force, swirling motes of light within.
  14.
  15. "Of course, Regent." Her gaze drifts to the box. "... a wedding ring? Why, you shouldn't have." Raya's tone was unusually teasing and lighthearted given the environment.
  16. (Raya L'Paix)
  17. [23:38] A small grunt erupted from the Regent in discomfort from the feeling of holy present. However, being in Zheng Island it was something the occultist knew the endure. Sky blue eyes closed for the briefest of moments before settling the rather large box nearby for the Priestess to view.
  18.
  19. "Thank you for-" They began before the words 'wedding ring' were brought up. There was a sound of choking in Ikkaku's throat, before shaking their head. "You're with Valiant. Anyways..
  20.
  21. This is the Vault. I intend to use it to store items that should not fall into evil hands. However, I need your assistance. There is a key that I wish to create.. Not physical but..
  22.
  23. I want to make the key Order and Virtue themselves."
  24. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  25. [23:46] "Mm, you still need to hold that wedding..." She remarks casually before she truly begins to examine and listen to the words Ikkaku spoke. Her face falls-- the soft smile turning into a rare thin line. Her hands remain clasped together, however, merely tilting to peer at the box upon her pew.
  26.
  27. "So you wish for me to make... the key?" Raya's voice is filled with rare uncertainty. "I can certainly try, though I am unsure how it would work."
  28.
  29. She pauses, hands moving to rest palms onto the Vault.
  30.
  31. "Or is it more-- making the lock with my-- Orderly alignment, and Mercy? Is this because of the rumors that Mercy can seal magic? I can't... so I'm unsure if it's even true."
  32. (Raya L'Paix)
  33. [23:51] The Regent would nod. "I'll do so some time after my pilgrimage if it hasn't happened by them." They would say, a small nod. "I'll be out of Zheng for around a year. There's a connection that I need to focus on to fight against Gaiar in the future.
  34.
  35. But.. Yes in a way. Essentially I want you to attempt to imbued the box with order, send your essesence into it as well as your virtue. I intend to do the same. This will allow it to function as a locking and unlocking mechanism. However a runewriter will be needed to fully finish and imbued the lock.
  36.
  37. I do not want this box to fall into the hand of chaos. And to do so I intend to make it so the box will not open for them, only for those attuned to order and virtue."
  38. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  39. [23:54] A simple nod is given in response to his need for a pilgrimage-- she's heard of this many times before, it seems, and now is no exception. Raya's attention is solely focused on the 'problem' at hand, staring at the Arcanium lined box with curiosity.
  40.
  41. One of her hands moved to rest upon the skull, tracing the outline of its carving with her finger. She sighs.
  42.
  43. "I will do my best to protect it, Regent. So... my essence, meaning to attune with the Lifestream and my Virtue of Mercy in order to seal it fully?" Goldens flicker towards him for confirmation. It seems like she didn't want to mess this up, reflecting his words back to him.
  44.
  45. "That's... simple, though not the easiest thing."
  46. (Raya L'Paix)
  47. [23:57] A nod.
  48.
  49. "If you had a connection to Order I would ask for you to do that as well, but your attunement to the lifestream and your virtue as seals to the box would be good. As much benevolent power as we can put into it, followed by runes to further lock down said essence. If it was just one of us it might be more difficult.
  50.
  51. But since there are two of us.. If we both put a portion of our essence and power into the box it should work as a better seal or fasten. Not the easiest thing to do but not impossible. And we need to make it difficult considering what needs to be stored."
  52. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  53. [00:00] The woman coughs awkwardly at the mention of 'connection to Order'. For a brief moment, the box would lift-- telekinetic energy apparent-- before it would be placed back down. A bead of sweat forms on her brow.
  54.
  55. "E-err, only my enemies really know of this..." Raya remarks casually. "But yes, I suppose... though I am unsure what you are storing, it is perhaps better that I don't know."
  56.
  57. Rolling her shoulders, Raya would close her eyes, a gentle hum escaping her lips. It had gotten easier since her wound was healed of its Occultic taint, but her shaken nerves had made it difficult for her to concentrate sometimes. That familiar tune... the harmony of the Lifestream itself... would be quite easy for the Sound and Order magi to recognize.
  58.
  59. Motes of light thickened into dark gold threads, swirling around her like a see-through blanket. Poor Ikkaku.
  60. (Raya L'Paix)
  61. [00:02] The Regent's sky blue eyes blinked as the box would be lifted. There was a small nod.
  62.
  63. "I.. See. You must have connected with it recently. I'm glad to see that you have Raya." There was a sense of joy within their words before giving them a nod.
  64.
  65. "If you desire to see some of it.. I'll show you when this task is finished."
  66.
  67. With that? A gloved hand moved to Ikkaku's stomach, a gritting of the Regent's teeth as they felt the harmony of the lifestream come forwards. While a good thing.. The Occultist's body often rejected things of the light variety. Sky blue eyes squeeze close, letting Raya focus.
  68. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  69. [00:10] Presumably, Raya's answer would be yes, but her attention is drawn inwards. Or, more aptly, outwards-- past the confines of the Church, Zheng Island, Agartha, out to the fabric of the world that held them together. It was both a song and a material to Raya, something she didn't truly understand--
  70.
  71. The Lifestream.
  72.
  73. The hand upon the box would have golden threads trail across fingers, sinking into the Arcanium metal. It would form ribbon-like ties around it, over and over again, like a present practiced on by an eager child. All the while, the pastor would gently hum, goldens shut.
  74.
  75. In this place-- the very temple in which Iustus' heart was-- it was the easiest for her to connect with the greater world around her. That didn't mean she was not taxed, however, as more sweat began to form on her strained features.
  76.
  77. "O-okay... err..." The Elsyrean took a few gulps of air. "Now here comes the hard part."
  78.
  79. The golden threads would begin to turn a different shade. Pinkness would emit from the very core of the woman. Thoughts of the Lifestream would be replaced with ones of peace and harmony, of a world without strife--
  80.
  81. of a world that existed within the church, one that she wished to bring upon the world. A view through the lens of Mercy, and how it could improve the lives around her. Amoxtli… Valiant...
  82.
  83. More sweat, more strain. The pink ribbon would begin to fade, sinking in to the blessed box. Its presence was still there, but it would quickly be absorbed-- invisible to the naked eye.
  84.
  85. "Hhh… Glad you didn't ask in the morning..." The woman quips, shaky hand pulling away. "I do hope that's enough."
  86. (Raya L'Paix)
  87. [00:18] The Regent closed their eyes and would give a small exhale before nodding to Raya. "You did wonderful. Now.. I'll do my part as well."
  88.
  89. A gloved hand would extend forwards as the sky blue eyes closed. The small Angelic wing that sat on their shoulder expanded, putting greater power into their abilities. A faint blue glow would slowly rise around Ikkaku, willpower being able to be felt surging around them.
  90.
  91. In their mind, the idea of what a world this box might bring formed. A world where malevolent objects may be stored from many, where the forces of Gaiar might never strike the divine, and where tragedy would not come to the people. It was world that they fought for, and a world that they worked for with all they had.
  92.
  93. Invisible strings that connect all things formed in the air, glowing slightly blue as they would surround the golden and pink threads. A powerful binding, Ikkaku's essence pressing downwards as if attempting to engrave itself physically upon the Arcanium vessel.
  94.
  95. There was struggle, focus.. And eventually the visibility of Ikkaku's magic would also begin to fade, becoming one with the blessed box. And then.. A small exhale breathed past their lips as the sky blue eyes opened.
  96.
  97. ".. Perfect."
  98. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
  99. [00:20] Goldens opened, staring at the lockbox before them. It looked pretty ordinary now, but-- as her hand moved in an attempt to open it, blue and pink strings would hold it down. If she had pried it further, Raya could open it most likely, but...
  100.
  101. "Agreed." She remarks, threads fading back into motes of light. Now, her attention turns to their visitor.
  102.
  103. "Errr…" A pause. "Hello, Neytiri. Do you require aid?"
  104. (Raya L'Paix)
  105. [00:21] Neytiri says, "Ah.. I was hoping to see Ikkaku.. but I can wait until you're finished up here.."
  106. [00:25] The test occurred, sky blue eyes watching as Raya attempted the open the box. True, if she wished, there was a high likelihood it would open, but the fact it didn't budge so far was a good sign. The Regent would offer a nod.
  107.
  108. "It looks good. We need a runescribe to further entwine the seal, as well as set a.. Trap for chaos mages. Would you be able to do this over the year I'm gone? I would appreciate it. But for now.. This work is done.
  109.
  110. Thank you Raya."
  111. (Ikkaku Ukitake)
