D R E A M S

The night before their meeting with Lian, the sun came to Grimm in a dream.

A voice boomed all around while a warm light touched and warmed the skin of Grimm. "Child of the light, who has given so much to the cause of the radiance. You will be tested in your coming days, as you have been tested now. But no other servant of our cause lays as closely now as you do to that dark manuscript that the light has so often hoped to destroy. Its pages are eternal, alas even the scorching sun can not qualm it forever. It must, however, be taken from the hands of evil men. They must not be allowed to wield it. For the sake of the light, take back the book."

Grimm's grasp of this dream made it feel real upon waking, but it faded slowly like any other dream until it nestled comfortably in the back of his thoughts. Soon he'd meet the dark skinned man in the tower and find out what fate had woven for him and his companions.
