  1. •••••••••• Audio cue: after "freaking Saltbearer"
  2.
  3. 0:10 • After a long mixing hiatus… I'm about to take y'all (back) into... the..………………. . `SPOOK ZONE`. :CaringAndRichardyIndividualJames: the SPOOK ZONE, see. Here is a sampling of what BEING IN THE SPOOK ZONE has entailed in the past.
  4.
  5. Innit spooky? … YES. VERILY.
  6.
  7. YES, a *PROPER* ***SPOOK*** has been done up to you... listen on, spook-ehdd one… IF YOU DARE. … !
  8.
  9. •••••••••• everything all right
  10.
  11. 0:34 • jk it's ~Halloween, I figured y'all would've already gotten a fair helping of spook so I just indulged in ethereal atmospheric stuff instead. :athe:
  12.
  13. Laurel Halo's "Do U Ever Happen" is one of my favorite songs ever, buy her album Dust. It's dream music that crossed into waking life.
  14.
  15. •••••••••• stay close
  16.
  17. 1:30 • I wanted to do more with Basement Jaxx - "Stay Close" but ended up only subtly slipping it in here. :/ Song feels cool on ears. Scars is a criminally underrated album.
  18.
  19. •••••••••• i loved fire toolz
  20.
  21. 1:55 • ||"Since I was a kid… I loved`Fire-Toolz`" 8)|| The intro to Fire-Toolz - "√ BEING" was in the background through all that and now the latter part of "angel (Of Deth)" is coming in. I love how she loves and utilizes so many sounds indiscriminately, so variably in accompaniment with one another.
  22.
  23. •••••••••• the wheel vocals barely starting
  24.
  25. 2:30 • SOHN - "The Wheel" - beautiful song, used the last time I made a significant mix as well. Here I've taken the acapella version and layered it on a granular stretch of itself.
  26.
  27. •••••••••• angel (of deth) reverses
  28.
  29. 3:23 • tl;dr editing hard ||I made this whole mix on my phone in SunVox. because I didn't have another viable option. It's a tracker-style music creation app that isn't really designed for this particular sort of thing. A lack of UI feedback wrt current numerical sample position + these tracks coming in when they do and being as floaty as they are made it too difficult to find convenient grid-aligned transients to retrigger from with adjusted BPM, so I was stuck playing them from the beginning on DUEH's time grid every time I wanted to hear what I was doing to them.
  30.
  31. Replaying about the whole clip of a(OD) backwards via ping-pong loop point, long and unbroken felt like taking advantage of the situation. To play things backwards, it's either that or you clone and reverse the .wav file since there isn't yet a simple `Play backwards from XXYY` command.||
  32.
  33. •••••••••• up starts
  34.
  35. 4:00 • Latter part of Oneohtrix Point Never - "Up", heavily processed. floaty music good
  36.
  37. •••••••••• summertime starts
  38.
  39. 4:35 • Sophie Barker singing George Gershwin's "Summertime" to demonstrate some amazing natural reverb, heavily processed. sung notes falling outside of 12TET good
  40.
  41. •••••••••• Alternate Thursday starts
  42.
  43. 5:55 • Platonic - "Alternate Thursday" + chopped-up Games (OPN + Joel Ford) - "Shadows in Bloom". couple o' reallllllllll glowstick tossers huh
  44.
  45. •••••••••• choppity Thursday
  46.
  47. 6:44 • finally having a proper grid to interpolate to demanded some goof
  48.
  49. •••••••••• staaaaaaaaaaaab
  50.
  51. 7:26 • 🧱 easier to appreciate those stabs when they're frozen in time 🧱
  52.
  53. •••••••••• everything- everyth-
  54.
  55. 8:05 • Oh*O!* I have caught everyone… `OFF GUARD`, by stating I didn't feel as though**𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗭𝗢𝗡𝗘**necessarily had a place in my set! And now,,, I am unexpectedly taking all of you into it anyway! Only the `SPOOKIEST` component materials were reserved for this instance of**𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗭𝗢𝗢𝗢𝗢𝗢𝗡𝗘**, so keep a phone on hand, ready to be dialed for emergency medical personnel!
  56.
  57. •••••••••• clara starts
  58.
  59. 8:30 • jk it's just Clara by the Late [:(] Great™ [:)] 1960s crooner Scott Walker. :athe:
  60.
  61. •••••••••• enormous eyes
  62.
  63. 9:18 • and (slowed to fit) Objekt - "Agnes Demise", which is just one of the most intense musical climaxes I've ever experienced.
  64.
  65. •••••••••• dungeon starts
  66.
  67. 10:51 • Dungeon theme #8 from Diablo-like game Darkstone. One of those PS1 games you can listen to music from by sticking the game disc into a regular CD player. Just hit me Rayman is another like that, and its wind sfx track was in the "previously…" bit.
  68.
  69. •••••••••• cheer
  70.
  71. 12:09 • CLEARED! yay thank for listen music type sounds are good ones they fun
  72.
  73. #bBIGsHOuToUtz to my fellow nerds raised by DDR with this outro, as well as with the WILD RUSH samples throughout the last track, which speeds up every few measures in a similar fashion. Samples sourced from Voice Spectral II, a sampling CD by, uh… "Best Service".
  74.
  75. Happy Halloween! https://twitter.com/LIL_ICEBUNNY/status/660230915025571840
