  1. 3.0 Notes:
  2. -Now including audio clips from a newly acquired audio bootleg where appropriate.
  3. -Counting Up to Twenty is now the bootleg version with sound effects rather than the cast album.
  4. -Added Close Your Eyes at the End
  5. -Audio only bits now have a caption describing the song or scene
  6.
  7. 2.1 Notes:
  8. I am proud to publically announce the release of my reconstruction of the Michael Crawford version of EFX!
  9.
  10. The goal is to create the most complete and best quality version of the show from the material currently available. Some of the cuts are rough, but that is true of the bootleg as well.
  11.
  12. It has 4 sources:
  13. -The commonly circulated bootleg with lots of generation loss (very little used from it, just where the higher quality boot is damaged/missing, which isn't much).
  14. -the higher quality bootleg, which has some file corruption in areas
  15. -Pro-shot footage from The Fantastic World of Michael Crawford & Jones Mike’s YouTube channel
  16. -the cast album
  17.
  18. The first song, Somewhere in Time unfortunately has no footage available that I have seen. So I simply used the cast album with the album cover.
  19.
  20. The second song, Nexus does have a small clip available, so I tried my best to splice it into the cast album.
  21.
  22. The title song has pro-shot footage available from The Fantastic World of Michael Crawford, which I have inserted. Towards the end of the clip Michael talks over it, so I patched in the cast album's audio for that bit. The rest of the sequence is from a bootleg recording until the Merlin segment.
  23.
  24. The Merlin segment is entirely pro-shot! This is the footage from Jones Mike's channel.
  25.
  26. The opening of the Barnum segment is pro-shot but I believe I may have used the bootleg audio to get around Michael's narration. After this, it uses the HQ bootleg video until Vladimir is introduced, as that is when the worst of the damage starts; it cuts to the LQ. It procedes with the LQ bootleg video until The Jig, which is from The Fantastic World of Michael Crawford. The scene immediately after is more footage from Jones Mike's channel, which goes through almost to the end, with the small bit after it being the HQ bootleg.
  27.
  28. The Houdini segment is entirely from the HQ bootleg.
  29.
  30. The H.G. Wells segment is also mostly from the HQ bootleg, though I do use the LQ's Counting Up To Twenty footage (which is entirely missing in the HQ one). I tried my best to sync the cast album to it as the audio quality was abysmal, but it's rather loose and the best I could do. The rest of the show is the HQ bootleg with the exception of about a minute of footage from The Fantastic World during the finale.
