  1. So where do I begin...
  2.
  3. TLDR: Submitted a set of cheated runs with the intent of going "gotcha", at which point, I don't want to verify his runs anymore (I also don't believe somebody that cheats has a right to put a time on the site). Has a history of cheating with multiple other runs on the site, resorted to harassment and slurs and apparently reporting me on the site or something?
  4.
  5. Ghostscit submitted a couple of runs to the Story Easy part of the leaderboards. The times were nothing special, and the only reason they even stand out at all is because after 12 hours, I'd get a message on Twitter telling me to verify the run. Doesn't bother me, sometimes my usual 12 hour check cycle doesn't always line up. What does stand out is that after the second time, he asked for mod on the leaderboard, despite having the very last time on the board. I declined. It wasn't necessary at all.
  6.
  7.
  8. Not long ago, he submitted another run with a much better time, I believe being second place. After looking at it, his timing seemed off, so I double checked with another runner of the category, being Mr_Zwanzig, finding out that yes, his timing was actually off. I fixed it, and verified it.
  9.
  10. Now at this time, he apparently had some number of skipped stages he snuck into the middle. It's a feature in the game that when you get all gold trophies, you can menu to skip the stage. I don't have this written into the rules at the time because, to be frank, it's common sense. It's not banning a glitch, it's requiring you to actually play the game to speedrun it. The intended purpose is to get the other endings. His "excuse" is that he didn't know about it, but it logically makes no sense to even try to do this without doing it for every stage, which I would have caught.
  11.
  12. A few days later, I get a submission from him claiming to be WR by 12 minutes. Now, while this is a huge improvement, it's not necessarily unreasonable. Easy is not as optimized and WR was held for a while by a semi blind run by a Normal difficulty runner, which is the more commonly run and optimized category. The time for easy was only slightly faster than Normal mode. However, I didn't trust it, but didn't have time to check the VOD. I asked Zwanzig, who's a good friend and the story mode runner at ESA to take a look and let me know if the time was valid. Ghostscit did his usual thing of asking me on Twitter, I said I was doing my due diligence. I ask why his time improved so much to get a better understanding of what to look at, his response was "Oh, not much, just mostly fixed up my mistakes I did in [stages]9-1, and 9-3." Now, this adds to my suspicions, since 12 minutes is more than enough to do both of those stages by itself. But he massages the other mod and the other mod puts it through. Fine, whatever.
  13.
  14. I get a whisper on twitch a day later, this is that conversation:
  15.
  16. 6/16/2016, 8:09:58 PM
  17. Isuyaru: Hey, are you around? Since you're one of the mods for Catherine on <whispered link>, I wanted to mention that the new easy 1:24:08 run is just pausing and skipping stages instead of getting to the goals
  18. 6/16/2016, 8:45:55 PM
  19. Ghoul02: Thanks. I figured as much. I didn't put it through because I didn't have time to verify it and the time was too good to be true.
  20. Ghoul02: It's taken care of.
  21. 6/16/2016, 8:59:04 PM
  22. Isuyaru: Cool, thanks
  23.
  24. I immediately remove all of his times, as I would for any other cheater. At this point, he deletes the vod for that run and submits another run. I refuse to verify it because he's been nothing but deceptive in the past, and I've gotten nothing of an apology, or a oops or... anything really. Properly verifying the time would require watching the entire video, comparing it to make sure that he didn't just take someone else's PB video and splice in a few levels of his own etc. If this is me refusing to do my job on speedrun.com as a moderator (where I actually do verify runs, look at multiple parts of runs to make sure they aren't cheated, verify timings etc) then just straight up ban me from the site. I reject the run with the comment "runner is a known cheater".

  26. It's at this point that harassment begins. http://puu.sh/pDxac/ab5c461a29.jpg, as well as the images I sent you from the other account he specifically created to get around the block. https://twitter.com/ghoul02/status/746075667943424000

  28. See also: https://twitter.com/ghoul02/status/745536492311744512 https://twitter.com/CriticalCyd/status/745683882347896832 among others. I deleted the original tweet I put up where I privated my account and linked the images of the dm he sent me because I didn't want them showing up under my media.
  29.
  30. Something else I know is that he's specifically banned from having times on the Sonic Leaderboards for similar shenanigans. This was also a conversation with the other moderator for Catherine. http://puu.sh/pDxmn/03025e5c56.png http://puu.sh/pDxrP/759178bc1d.png

  32. I have also heard from others that he was one of a group that harrassed Token to the point that he completely deleted his speedrun.com account and his twitter. I believe he has since reclaimed them.
