ki hye-lim was born to a gisaeng and a respected scholar. her father left her and her mother when she was born. he chose his status over them. of course they were heart-broken, but they decided to take it in. while her mother had a grudge against her father, hye-lim decided to forget. hye-lim always watched the gisaengs practiced and her mother practice with them. she loved how they performed and wanted to be like them. although being a gisaeng wasn't so respected by others, she still wanted to become one.
