  3. Q: What are you playing on, it is emulator?
  4. A: No, I play on a Gamecube through a Gameboy Player using a Gameboy SP as a controller.

  6. Q: Why do you choose Totodile?
  7. A: Because the Totodile evolution family is the best for the speedrun, without it, my time would not be nearly as fast.

  9. Q: Do you really need to use Totodile specifically, couldn't you use some other Pokemon?
  10. A: Yes. Yes I do. Otherwise I will not challenge my World Record.

  12. Q: Why did you keep reseting after getting Totodile?
  13. A: If it looks like there is no reason, it's generally because my stats were bad. I need to have great DVs in attack and special stats otherwise I can not complete the run fast enough

  15. Q: What stats are good and what stats are bad?
  16. A: I check my stats as soon as I can, because it takes to long to wait until I level up. At level 5 I will reset unless my attack is 12 or 13 and my special defense is 11 and my speed is 10 (might run with 9 speed if 12 Defense and/or 13 attack)

  18. Q: You didn't even get to his stats, why did you reset?
  19. A: Totodile was a female, so it's attack DV was 0 or 1, aka the worst.

  21. Q: About what are the chances of getting a Totodile with stats you will keep?
  22. A: I will keep about 1 in 12 Totodiles.

  24. Q: Why do you set the time around 5:30pm?
  25. A: It keeps the game at day for Route 32, which gives a higher chance of Bellsprout, but then turns to night before Ilex forest so I can catch a Oddish/Paras there in case I still don't have a Cut slave.

  27. Q: What is Poliwag/Sentret/Bellsprout/Sandshrew/Oddish/Paras for?
  28. A: They are HM slaves, Poliwag gets Waterfall and Whirlpool, The other one gets Cut.

  36. Q: Is there a new route? What is different?
  37. A: There are some differences in the route, pretty minor ones time wise but the splits won't be entirely accurate because of that. I'm getting/teaching Ice Punch later (so lose some time on Clair split, make up on Whitney/Morty), Poliwag earlier (so lose time on Pryce, make up on Clair), and a few other small changes here and there.

  39. Q: Where can you make up time?
  40. A: I only hit one spinner (Joyce, on the e4 split), but the most obvious time save is actually the very end, I lost over a minute to Red because he trolled the shit out of me. Minor timesaves all over as well

  42. Q: Why do you use Frame 4?
  43. A: Because it's sexy :3

  45. Q: Why do you name yourself and Totodile 'I'?
  46. A: Because it's faster to name them one character for text purposes, and the letter 'I' gives a nice spin as if the game was self-narrating

  49. A: There are several trainers in this game that spin like crazy. It's either because one caught me, or one didn't >_>

  52. A: Yes, there is luck involved. Yes, I am still running it. I love pokemon and will run it regardless :)
