- Untitled Frenzy Build
- Barbarian (Primary) / Sorceress (Secondary)
- Mod Version: 0.6.1.4
- Build Features:
- Pros
- - 5-7M sheet dps (with frenzy buffs) depending on how you build your character out, more than enough to annihilate anything in the game up to and including Pandemonium ubers
- - 50+% damage absorption and high defense
- - Be a speedy boi and yell at everything
- - Because you're part sorc leveling is really easy
- - 5k OA, 99% RR from Pathology
- - Not too terribly hard to gear, scales rather well
- - Life on hit basically means you can't die unless you're not attacking
- - Largely a one-button build, if you're into that sort of thing
- Cons
- - Damage is primarily single target, other builds can clear cows, etc. faster
- - Tons of buffs you have to cast so if an arcane mob nullifies you = RIP
- - Largely a one-button build, if you're not into that sort of thing
- - A lot of the damage comes from deadly strike, which will probably be nerfed eventually
- Build Overview: Playstyle is pretty simple, bind frenzy to left click and run into stuff. Occasionally recast your Call to Arms buffs so they stay up. Use Taunt and Pathology on bosses/nemeses.
- Leveling: I'd highly recommend leveling as Charged Bolt/Blizz until around level 50 or so. In my opinion you shouldn't switch to Frenzy until you can max it out and have about 6-7 points to put in each of the sorc masteries.
- Skills (Sorc):
- - Frozen Armor line, 1 pt each
- - Teleport, 1 pt
- - Static Field (optional), 1 pt
- - Warmth (optional), 1 pt
- - Enchant, max
- - Pathology, max
- - Fire/Cold/Lightning Mastery, max all
- Skills (Barb):
- - Weapon masteries for the weapons you're using, 1 pt each
- - Battle Command, get to at least rank 18 (I'll explain why below)
- - Frenzy, max ASAP
- - Berserker Rage, at least 1 pt
- - Everthing else is up to preference but I'd recommend Shout as a dump skill
- Stats: 60/40 Int/Str, no Dex
- Devotions (all unless otherwise specified):
- Lion
- Eel
- Lizard
- Raven
- Quill
- Spider
- Empty Throne
- Owl
- Bard's Harp
- Solemn Watcher
- Ulo (bind proc to Taunt or Pathology)
- Harvestman's Scythe
- Korvaak (bind proc to Frenzy)
- Obelisk, first point and %defense point only
- Scales, first 2 points only
- Ishtak
- Tree of Life
- Attak Seru, everything but the proc
- Yellow crossroads (will need for Ishtak)
- At this point I had 1 point left so I put it in the first point of Rhowan's Crown for some more damages
- Equipment Choices w/ Components:
- Weapon 1 - Call to Arms sword, Gul rune. The reason you only need Battle Command at rank 18 is because you also get another Battle Command from this, and both of those together get you to level 20, so you don't need to level BC all the way to 20. If you don't believe this works, go into your skill tree with BC at rank 19 and use it.
- Weapon 2 - Deathbit, Gul rune. It's a random dagger with deadly strike. If deadly strike gets nerfed you probably want to use Azurewrath or maybe Fury or something. In general, we're looking for a combination of +skills and attack speed.
- Gloves - Something with elemental damage and attack speed is ideal, I'm using Mythical Dawnshard Grip and they work pretty well. Consecrated Wrappings for more attack speed.
- Shoulders - Any shoulders with stats you need, this slot isn't super important.
- Head - Harlequin Crest or Andariel's Visage with a Gul rune. +skills FTW.
- Chest - Chains of Honor, Gul rune. See above.
- Pants - Mythical Runebrand Legwraps are nice because they give lots of damage and bleeding resist (which I needed), but again this slot isn't super important.
- Belt - Arachnid Mesh for more +skills.
- Boots - Gore Rider (kind of mandatory for every build IMO), Mark of Mogdrogen.
- Rings - Anything with some combination of +skills/attack speed/elemental damage is fine. I'm currently using a SOJ and an Eternal Band. Elemental Rainbow Facets in all jewelry.
- Amulet - Highlord's, obviously.
- Medal - An Annihilus if you have one, otherwise any good rare.
- Relic - Any sorc/barb Hellfire Torch is ideal. The dream is probably a barb Hellfire Torch with +2 to Frenzy. Before you can use those any crafted relic is fine.
- Mercenary: I use the defensive templar because she tends to stay alive longer than the others, but honestly any templar is probably fine.
- Update 1/6/20: A Fury runeword weapon is more damage than CTA if you can afford to make one, plus it's less buttons you have to push while playing. If you use Fury, everything is the same but you need to make BC level 19 and then you can ignore anything in the guide about using warcries on cooldown. Additionally if you want more AOE clear since frenzy is primarily single-target you can put extra points into Whirlwind once you have everything else sorted.
