  1. >You are BluntTongs.
  2. >And you’re currently sitting in your nice, warm, comfy leather chair at home, browsing Moth Pony General and eating a pack of some good ol’ Smarties.
  3. > ... You wish.
  4. >You’re actually in the middle of the Sahara.
  5. >It’s warmer than your chair at home.
  6. >By a very large margin.
  7. >So large, in fact, that you’d rather be in a cold place right now.
  8. >Like the Arctic.
  9. >How did you get here?
  10. > ... You don’t really know.
  11. >You found a sign while taking a walk outside earlier that said “This way to Moffquestria.”
  12. >And you followed it.
  13. > ... Just kidding, you don’t go outside.
  14. >Anyway, you’re out of water and you just finished your last pack of Smarties.
  15. >You’re probably going to die out here.
  16. >Better wander around and see if that accomplishes anything.
  17. > ... Wait... there’s a voice.
  18. >”/r/ timestamp”
  19. >Oh... oh no.
  20. >”/r/ timestamp”
  21. >It’s getting closer.
  22. >”/r/ timestamp”
  23. >That voice... you know it.
  24. >”/r/ timestamp”
  25. >This is the end.
  26. >”/r/ timestamp”
  27. > ... Brace for impact.
  28.
  29. > ...
  30.
  31. > ...
  32.
  33. > ...
  34.
  35. >Where are you?
  36. >Everything went dark for a while.
  37. >And now everything is white.
  38. >Your eyes need to adjust.
  39. >And it’s cold.
  40. >Seems like you got your wish.
  41. >Looking around, you see that you’re in a lying in a bed in a medium-sized room.
  42. >You appear to be the only one here.
  43.
  44. >A bright light shines in the center above you.
  45. >There’s a chair to your right, accompanied by a desk with...
  46. > ... Your laptop on it.
  47. >You would ask “how,” but you were in the Sahara just earlier.
  48. >There’s also a bathroom straight ahead, probably pre-equipped with all your hygenical equipment.
  49. >There’s a door to your right.
  50. >Rubbing your eyes and throwing off the covers, you get out of bed and walk up to the door.
  51. >You place your hand on the knob, turn, and pull.
  52. >You’re surprised to see a few people hanging out in the room. Having presumably been doing their own thing a moment ago, they now all stop to look at you simultaneously.
  53. >One stands up.
  54. >He looks to be the tallest person in the room.
  55. > ... That’s a ‘he,’ right?
  56. > ...
  57. >Oh.
  58. >”BluntTongs, I presume?”
  59. >The voice confirms it.
  60. >It’s him.
  61. >Seldom.
  62. >He outstretches his arm towards you with an open palm, initiating a handshake.
  63. >You oblige.
  64. >”Nice to meet you. Welcome to the compound.”
  65. “The compound?”
  66. >”Yes. We are currently based two hundred miles out of Dust Valley, in the mountains to the north.”
  67. >”The gang’s all here. Feel free to meet them and take a look around.”
  68.
  69. >You scan the much larger room.
  70. >You notice a darker man in a sombrero, sporting a rather sizeable handlebar mustache and a pair of tights.
  71. >That must be AnonAnon.
  72.
  73. > A pale, thin man with spiky hair and a goatee.
  74. >He looks at you with a cold, yet friendly expression as he sits, leaning forward, with his arms on his lap.
  75. >There are some knives sitting on the table in front of him.
  76. > ... Val?
  77.
  78. >You come across yet another person as you sweep the room to the right.
  79. >A ‘she’ this time.
  80. >She sports fair skin and a head of longer, red hair, additionally wearing a pair of stylish black glasses.
  81. >She wields a tablet and stylus, seemingly having taken a break from drawing just to look at you with a warm, motherly smile.
  82. >Buttersketch.
  83. >Many more people occupy the roomspace as they seem to return to their prior activity.
  84. >A few in particular, you make out to be Nips, Walnut, TunnelingPigeon, and maybe FTA.
  85. >You recognize one as SlimePrnicess.
  86.
  87. “How did you all get here?” You ask Seldom Needy.
  88. >”In collaboration with Funny Valentine and AnonAnon, I invented a way to get to Moffquestria. From there, we brought the rest using my technology.”
  89. “Well. What do I do here?”
  90. >”Anything. Aside from your room being equipped with your computer and everything you need to get by, we also have a lounge, dining area -- breakfast buffet in the mornings, by the way -- you should so check it out -- and outdoor activity area. There’s also a direct link by subway transit to Dust Valley -- and they said we had room for underground refrigerators, pff -- where you can go out and meet the actual moths. And, yes, there’s Internet via an ethernet port installed in your room. There’s also free wifi in case you want to take your laptop out to the lounge area. Make yourself at home!”
  91. > ...
  92. >Well, then.
  93. “Thanks,” is all you can muster.
  94. >”Welp, I’ll see you around; got some work to take care of in Sector 7G.”
  95. >With that, Seldom spins around on his heel and walks off.
  96. >You start to walk in the other direction, but it’s not long before you bump into someone else.
  97. >”Ah, BluntTongs!”
  98. “Who are you?”
  99. >”Rotten. And Molasses is in the lounge waiting to meet you.”
  100.
