- Official guideline to play as Cavalry within the Kingdom of Lorraine
- Uniform
- A vital part of playing in our clan requires that you are uniformed. The leadership have delicately selected armours that are most cost effective and provide the best protection for money.
- It is strongly recommended that you follow the guidelines of our uniform in order to keep yourself well prepared for war.
- The uniform is as follows:
- Helmet - Guard helmet+
- Boots - Mail boots+
- Gloves - Mail mittens+
- Chest - Brigandine+
- Melee weapons - 1 handed weapons (1 handed axe, military hammer or spiked mace), 1/2 handed weapon (Morningstar or heavy bastard sword), heavy shield and heavy lance).
- Mount - Heavy horse (War horse, barded war horse or charger).
- It is imperative that members follow these guidelines.
- Chain of Command
- As cavalry, you must be aware of your leading officers:
- Lord Prawnatron
- Captain Chainkiller
- Follow the orders of the aforementioned leadership and the cavalry will be far more effective.
- Basic Cavalry Skills
- Some basic tips regarding how to play cavalry.
- Do:
- Target opponents in the open.
- Charge into shieldwalls when commanded.
- Always buy high quality equipment.
- Play as a unit - Playing as a lone cavalry unit will not help anyone unless you are playing ghetto cavalry.
- Use your bastard sword / morningstar when charging into shieldwalls.
- Get remounted as soon as possible if dismounted.
- Don't:
- Try to couch other cavalry - Either run off, poke them with your lance or try to lead them towards infantry with pikes or archers.
- Use a low / medium tier horse - The point of cavalry during sieges is to be a brute force for infantry and get through shield walls, being on a light horse will make you entirely useless in this aspect.
- Abandon other clan-mates in the field - Accompany them as needed, unless you have been ordered to pull back.
