  5. 1. stop caring what others think.
  6. it seems too much of your self esteem is based on what others think of you and not what you think of you. you can choose to live this way but it is fundamentally bad for your happiness. the opinions of others will sway back and fourth and so will your self esteem. this is a choice to think this way. the alternative is to only value your opinion of yourself. sure, it's a good idea to care what your parents think of you or ones you hold extremely close, but if you care what every shmuck on the internet thinks of you all the time you will never be happy, because you cannot please everyone.

  8. 2. grow thicker skin.
  9. imo this is really important to social interaction especially on the internet. i used to get really bothered by shit people said and the way people would make fun of me. but a lot of people making fun of you isn't REALLY making fun of you. it's saying that they're comfortable enough to joke around with you. this is actually a very GOOD thing. when someone is saying anything, consider their intention. are they saying it because they genuinely hate you? or are they saying it just for shits.

  12. some people are here to just troll/be shitters including myself. again, if you get offended by everything people say, you're going to have a horrible time here.

  15. it's okay to feel down. we all do sometimes. there are good ways and bad ways to go about it. a good way would be taking a trusted friend aside to explain your problems to them and ask for solutions/criticisms and not get angry about their response. a bad way would be vaguely emo tweeting. emo tweets will not help you become happier. exactly how does it help you get closer to achieving happiness? do you want people to be friends with you out of pity? is that really the kind of person you're striving to attract? pity friends?

  19. for real dude, you need to quit beating yourself up over dumb shit, a therapist will help you. if they cant, maybe they can give you a pill or someshit that makes you feel better. dont like taking pills? learn to like it. do you want to spend your 50 last years on the planet depressed or happy?

  21. 2. stop talking shit about your friends.
  22. nobody wants to have a friend that emo tweets whenever they get into conflict. trust me.

  25. the first advice for depressed people a lot is to start working out regularly and get a regular sleep schedule and dont binge on food that is garbage for you or drugs. make sure you do all that too.

  28. you can ignore this advice, but if you choose to ignore this advice, your unhappiness is your own fault. i dont really care to associate with you until you figure yourself out.
