∎ background: SoHyun grew up in Sydney along with her older brother Chris; the two always loved music, they'd make beats and write songs together all of the time. SoHyun was the better dancer however and she's come up with the dance steps to a lot of their songs. One day Chris told her that he was moving to Korea to train under JYP ent. SoHyun was happy for her brother, but she also knew that that meant she'd be alone and wouldn't have a music partner anymore; Chris and she made a promise to both become a star and to make a song together so all of their fans could hear it. After a year or two, SoHyun and her parents went out to Korea to see her brother, while there an agent from her company saw her and street cast her. She wasn't so sure about joining a company, but she overall decided that it would be the best option for her at the moment, so she packed up her things and moved out to Korea to join the company. She soon found out that she was the youngest new trainee that they had gotten, she also found out that all of the other trainees were either from different companies or had been in classes; they were way more advanced then she was and she was afraid that the company would decide that they didn't want her anymore. She'd work twice as hard as the other trainees, just so she could be on their level; it didn't take long for her to become the dance and rap teachers' favorite student. She was often lonely and would spend her free weekends at her brother's dorm with her group members. She became close with the members and would often bring them food or cook for them, her favorite though was Felix. Because of how much she had to work she didn't have many friends outside of the company and she often missed out of normal teenager things, like school dances and having a boyfriend. She also missed her family and would spend her free days with her brother at his dorm with his bandmates. SoHyun has been training for 3 years now and she's seen her brother and her company friends debut, she's hoping that join the show will allow her to debut or at least get noticed. She also sees it as a way to make friends with people outside of her company.

∎ speech if eliminated : Growing up all I ever wanted to do was be on a stage... My brother and I once said that we'd both become a star together. I watched him go and train all alone and I'd always think, "wow... he's crazy!"
I never saw how much time, sweat, and tears that he put into his work until I started training myself; everyone that has ever stepped onto this stage has made some kind of sacrifice, there was something that we gave up to get to where we are now. I'm not gonna lie, I'm sad... I'm really sad, but to see so many girls that will be debuting gives me some kind of hope. I know that you all will try your very best and put your whole heart into this competition and I know that one day we all will meet again, and when we do it will be on a stage greeting the fans that we've made with our groups or as soloists. Even though I will no longer be here with the rest of you just know that I'll always be standing behind you rooting for you all until your debut. FIGHTING!

We've all given up those school dances and the karaoke nights, some of us have given up having friends, going to university and those family trips. We all know that becoming a star is a lot more than just being able to put a beat and some words together, but it's days and sometimes years of learning how to make that beat, how to write those words and how to convey a feeling that people will remember. We've all cried the same tears of disappointment, we've all sweated the same sweat of hours in a hot studio trying to learn a dance, we've all had those lonely nights where you'd stay up trying to perfect a note or to finish writing those lyrics... All of that grinding led us here. I want to thank you all for giving us a chance to show you and the world was true girl powers is. I'll keep trying my very best and will make you all proud.
