  1. 04[20:03] <@Rania> [You're not entirely sure where you are anymore. The heavy rain makes it hard to identify any landmarks, and the shifting winds are ruining your sense of direction. The dwindling effects of the last drink you had isn't helping either, having been consumed about five hours ago.]
  2. 04[20:04] <@Rania> [Its dry though, and warm enough with a portable heater so you've got no intention of moving. Nested in a small cave in a rockface with a sandy floor, you're in the state of half awake, half asleep. Theres some empty bottles in the corner furthest from you, and you're swaddled in blankets, but otherwise the area is bare.]
  3. [20:06] <Adam> [It's been a while since you heard from Rania. You suspected she needed her space, when Zeimah wanted to go after her, but it's been enough and you've heard nothing.]
  4. [20:06] <Adam> [So you decide to go and speak to her instead of waiting. Being all Thief-y, reaching out instead of letting it wait.]
  5. [20:08] <Adam> [The Growth points you in the right direction, and you brave the perpetual storm, following it. Eventually, you find something that your Life sense tells you has, well, life in it. "Hey, Rania?" you ask, loud enough to hear over the rain and wind.]
  6. 04[20:11] <@Rania> [You blink, not entirely sure if you were imagining it or not. Slowly looking over to the entrance. "Hel-hello?" You ask, voice far too quiet after not being used for days. Only realizing now how dry it feels.]
  7. [20:12] <Adam> ["Hey there, Rania, 's me, Adam." You find out where she is, and go over to sit next to her. "It's been a while. Zeimah said you seemed upset and wanted to come out to check, but I thought you needed your space. But, as I said, it's been a while, so I'm checking up on you."]
  8. 04[20:14] <@Rania> [You burrow a little further into the pile of blankets. "'m sorry. For how I was acting." You mumble, looking away from him.]
  9. [20:15] <Adam> [You shrug. "You weren't yourself, not quite. On [Eye of the Storm], and that activates before you can turn it off and without your consent, sometimes. You didn't do anything particularly worth apologizing about, either."]
  10. [20:15] <Adam> [Well, to you, at least. You don't think Maddy's too happy with her. "How are you?"]
  11. 04[20:17] <@Rania> [It takes you a while to answer. "Tired. Miserable." You want a hug, but you're not going to ask for it.]

  16. 04[20:27] <@Rania> ["Its...I don't know how I'm suppose to act around you. I can't..." You swallow. "can't..." This is a stupid idea why are you even talking to him about this.]

  37. [21:22] <tenaciousTheseus> [You shrug. "May not be, but stress certainly seems like something you're feeling, huh?" You smile, and give her another squeeze. "Good. It's been years for him, he misses you. Would do him good to drop a line."]

  39. 04[21:25] <@Rania> [You close your eyes and sigh. You're beyond the point of caring about asking about this. You're pretty sure he already knows. "So." You swollow nervously anyways. "How am I suppose to act around you? How do you /want/ me to act around you?"]

"If you're not, and you need space, then that's perfectly alright, and I can give you space. Although probably talk to someone so that someone knows that you're alive."]
  41. 04[21:32] <@Rania> ["I don't want space from you." It's kind of the opposite. "I just, don't want to force you away by..." You swollow and turn away, rubbing at your eyes. "I'm sorry."]

"People didn't have to think about longterm in the bubble. I don't know how to fix these mistakes anymore."]

  82. 04[23:43] <@Rania> ["Maybe, but, I don't...don't want to put you through that." You respond quietly, not looking at him.]
  83. [23:50] <tenaciousTheseus> [You snort. "I want to help, Rania. You're my friend, regardless of whatever."]
  84. 04[23:55] <@Rania> [You glance at him, then shuffle over to lean against him. "Okay, can you...just...tell me what I shouldn't do around you, so I have some place to start?" You really hope that what you just did isn't on that list, realizing maybe just a bit too late.]

  88. [00:56] <Adam> [You rub the bridge of your nose. "...Okay, I admit I'm not coming up with anything. Can I take a raincheck?"]

  90. [00:59] <Adam> [You rummage around in your sylladex and pull out a sandwich. "How do you feel about ham, cheese, and mayo?" You offer it to her.]
  91. [01:00] <@Rania> 7[You take it and bite into it as answer. Taking more than you probably should as an excuse to think. One bite leads to another and before you realize it, the sandwich is gone.]
  92. [19:29] <Adam> [You chuckle. "Boy, someone hasn't eaten in a while." You rummage around further in your sylladex, before taking out a power bar and a bottle of water. "This is about it for the food I have on me right now, so if you're still hungry we should go back to your spire."]
  93. [19:32] <@Rania> 7[You nod. Taking a drink to get the pieces of sandwich stuck in your throat down. "So...is that...you can't think of something that you don't /mind/. Or you need time to figure it out?" Theres a small hint of hope in there, but its mostly drowned out by the worry.]
  94. [19:40] <Adam> ["Well, mainly that I can't think of anything in particular I mind, off the top of my head." You consider it. "Well, okay, I would probably mind if you tried to attack me for whatever reason or something like that, but..." You shrug.]
  95. [19:45] <@Rania> 7[You snort. "Not likely. I promise you that." You hesitate, place down the water bottle, and turn around where you were resting against him and pull him into a tight hug. "I just, don't want to lose what little I have left by doing something you don't want." You mumble into his shoulder.]
  96. [19:51] <Adam> ["Good! It's nice to know I won't have to deal with another attempted murder." You wrap your arms around her when she hugs you. "Trust me, you'd have to work pretty damn hard to get me to break it off entirely."]
  97. [19:56] <@Rania> 7["'kay." You keep hugging for a while longer before slowly letting go. Gently pressing your forehead to his before standing up unsteadily. Holding yourself steady against the wall. "You said something about food?"]
  98. [20:01] <Adam> ["I did!" You straighten up as well, idly shaking the numbness out of your legs. "As the Life player, I'm pretty sure it's my duty to force food down the throats of anyone who isn't eating." You offer her your hand. "So let's head back and I can get started on that, then."]
  99. [20:05] <@Rania> 7[You take it, captchaing the blankets and space heater. And giving a face of disgust at the rain outside. "Well, I guess its not going to get any dryer." You give another quick hug. "...thank you."]
