Being the only child with a Korean father and Japanese mother, she gets lonely and wishes to have company. Her parents own their own restaurant and is always busy, so they send her to different classes to keep her occupied. They sent her to piano lessons and taekwondo. In school she is an average student, doing well in maths, languages and geography but badly in history and biology. She was the president of the drama club and she mostly works back stage. During her free time, she taught herself how to pay guitar and pick up more martial arts.

Even though she works back stage, she actually wants to be on stage but is mostly too busy or has to be back stage to organize everything. One day, one of the actresses became ill and the back up was stuck in traffic, knowing the songs and lines by heart, she took the spot. During her time on stage, she felt happy and decided to pursue singing. With her parents consent she move back to Seoul and became an idol.

She can be rough at times but she likes to keep to herself and hates being disturbed.She is considerate and patience with the girls, guiding them as well as advising them but when they don't listen and get in trouble because of it, she gets mad. She can be stubborn and grumpy, being moody. She is reliable and is good at keeping secrets, as well as organized. She freaks out when things get messy and panics. It takes her sometime to calm herself and solve the problem. She can be a push over and she doesn't mind if the girls make fun of her but as long there is a limit.
