[2012-08-17 19:17:45] <icekatze> 12As night descends on Old Appleloosa, the lights and burning buildings in old Appleloosa still manage to light up the thick smoke that is pouring up into the sky. The fury of combat has passed and a calm silence has spread over the town. Down below the bluffs, Triad ponies run back and forth trying desperately to quench the fires spreading around the town, but they still manage to stay clear of the smoldering wreck of a war

  5. [2012-08-17 19:18:56] <icekatze> 12On the top of the mesa overlooking the town, the Chrysalis comes in for a landing next to Lucidity and the rescued slaves, including Upsie Daisy, the crippled earth pony, and Morning Dew, the young pegasus mare.
  6. [2012-08-17 19:21:26] * Thunderbird stares out of the Chrysalis at the smoldering hulk that had terrorized the town and nearly cost half of the slaves their lives. "I don't think we're going to be able to take that thing back to Dodge, and it wouldn't make a good throne if I wasn't imagining that glow inside it."

  8. [2012-08-17 19:23:24] <icekatze> 12In the back of the Chrysalis, Salix continues to tend to Xavi, who is just now starting to feel the full effects of the detoxification brew. The feeling the drugs make as they leave his system is about as bad as they felt good on the way in, but at least he's alive and even mostly aware of his surroundings now.

I do hope you are not planning revenge for what happened earlier. There was very little I could do about that, you see."

  11. [2012-08-17 19:33:12] * Xavi- shudders as he feels the drugs exiting his system. "Feels like my blood is on fire!" he moans
  12. [2012-08-17 19:34:43] <icekatze> 12Felt Heart scratches her leg nervously, "I see... that, that is most kind of you. I suppose I ought to thank you."
  13. [2012-08-17 19:35:48] * Thunderbird faces the newly awakened unicorn that they took such pains to save. "So...this was the leader of the slavers? Care to explain why we saved her, little Princess?" she asks seeming genuinely puzzled and not particularly upset.
  14. [2012-08-17 19:37:46] <Sky_Shine> "She was one of the leaders, as for saving her I didn't want her to end up dead if she was trying to do good like us."
  15. [2012-08-17 19:38:43] <icekatze> 12Sugar Lump finds Xavi's predicament to be rather humorous, and after chuckling for a bit, jabs Xavi in the side, "What'd you think was gonna happen, stripes?"
  16. [2012-08-17 19:39:20] * Xavi- groans. "I thought I would be more awesome, and I think that's what happened."
  17. [2012-08-17 19:40:08] * Thunderbird raises an eyebrow at Sky_Shine's answer. "One of the leaders? How can you have more than one leader and how many leaders were there?"
  18. [2012-08-17 19:40:39] <Sky_Shine> "I believe two others."
  19. [2012-08-17 19:43:03] <icekatze> 12Felt Heart turns to Thunderbird and bows deeply. "Felt Heart, 12former12 lieutenant of Red Eye's Regulators... at your service."
  20. [2012-08-17 19:43:09] * Lucidity is medical pony, yush!
  21. [2012-08-17 19:46:18] <icekatze> 12Upsie Daisy doesn't complain when Lucidity goes to set his broken hind legs back in place. He just nods, then bites down on his one good foreleg until the procedure is over.
  22. [2012-08-17 19:49:27] * Lucidity whinnies. "Good. Good. You're quite the brave pony."
  23. [2012-08-17 19:50:58] * Xavi- tires to get to his hooves. He groans as he does. "I want my robot!" he says as he stands.
  24. [2012-08-17 19:52:50] * icekatze 12Upsie Daisy: "Heh, that wasn't so bad...you're pretty good at this." his smile may be forced, but there is some genuine humor in his voice, "Brave, or incredibly stupid, take your pick." 
  25. [2012-08-17 19:53:52] * Thunderbird bows in response but hesitates at offering her hoof. "Thunderbird Screams Through Modems, Assistant Techno-Shaman First Class in exile for Stable 34. How about this: I won't judge you for your past if you don't judge me for mine. Just tell me if you are okay with using slave labor. Sound fair?"
  26. [2012-08-17 19:55:19] <icekatze> 12Sugar Lump puts her hoof on Xavi's back, trying to hold him down. "Hey, if you're gonna go run of and get yourself killed, at least you could leave the dash, no sense wasting that."
  27. [2012-08-17 20:02:11] <icekatze> 12Felt Heart bats her eyelashes at Thunderbird, "Darling, I wouldn't dream of judging you. Besides, I am much more interested in upcoming events. As for slave labor... I can honestly say that I much prefer that ponies work with me willingly."
  28. [2012-08-17 20:05:11] * Sky_Shine messes with her pipfilly trying to find some nice music for them all
  29. [2012-08-17 20:11:35] * Thunderbird smiles back at the mare, flattered but not entirely taken in by her charm. "That's good to know, Miss Felt Heart, but I do believe you didn't quite answer the question I asked. While my personal spirit guide isn't one of the tricksters, one doesn't get far dealing with spirits without learning some of the basic tricks. So...are you okay with using slave labor?"
  30. [2012-08-17 20:12:14] <icekatze> 12Upsie Daisy tries pulling himself up to a sitting position, "Uhg... I'm starting to think a pony would have to be a little bit crazy to accept a job from a group called the Followers of the Apocalypse..." Upsie Daisy's voice snaps Morning Dew back to reality, snapping back in a hurt voice, "Hey now! Things could have turned out a whole lot worse, right? We did, sort of, find the ponies we were looking for, didn't we?"

  32. [2012-08-17 20:19:05] <icekatze> 12Sky Shine's PipFilly picks up a faint radio signal, while there is a bit of music for a minute or two, once the song is over, a familiar stallion's voice calls out over the airwaves.
  33. [2012-08-17 20:21:37] <icekatze> 12Felt Heart turns her head and holds a statuesque pose for a moment, "A trick, you say? You'll just have to forgive me, but it is not a pleasant topic of discussion. It may be difficult for me to think of fates worse than slave labor, but I'm afraid I can think of some..."

  35. [2012-08-17 20:28:18] <icekatze> 12It takes a moment for Lucidity's words to sink in, but the moment Upsie Daisy realizes what just happened, a horrified look crosses his face, "No... oh, no! Thats not what I... Its just that I should have expected the danger." Morning Dew, trots over and gives him a gentle nudge with her hoof. "Hey, don't beat yourself up. And don't worry, I promise we'll find Wonderful eventually. I just know she's ok."
  36. [2012-08-17 20:33:27] * Xavi- shakes off Sugar Lump. "I want it, it's mine by right of conquest!" He snarls in the direction of the robot.
  37. [2012-08-17 20:34:42] * Thunderbird considers the mare for a moment then shrugs. "It's not a pleasant topic, no, which is why I take extra caution. I'm satisfied that you're not an immediate threat to the lives or freedom of anyone in Dodge, but..." She glances at Sky_Shine to let her know her words are as much for the filly as the mare. "...the fact that you still dance around the question suggests you can't

  40. [2012-08-17 20:37:30] <icekatze> 12Sugar Lump rolls her eyes, "Pfft, fine, don't let me stop you. Just let me know when you get tired of dragging that thing through the mud."
  41. [2012-08-17 20:39:54] * Xavi- stagers round and then looks her in the face. "Think of how it would look though, me sitting on a throne leading an army!"
  42. [2012-08-17 20:43:57] * Thunderbird holds up a hoof to Felt Heart then directs over her shoulder to Xavi, "I didn't get a good look, but I think your throne might be leaking a bit more radiation than is strictly recommended for chairs."
  43. [2012-08-17 20:45:22] <icekatze> 12Felt Heart bows slightly to Thunderbird, "No, not completely... But I assure you that I am only interested in finding willing help." She brushes her hoof up against her bodyguard's cheek. "Loyal friends are much, much better anyways." The guard mare gruffly adds, "Its an honor."

  57. [2012-08-17 21:10:39] * Thunderbird gives Felt Heart a half-lidded, wry look. "Humor us. Maybe where you want to be will interest us as well."

"You hear that? I told you everything was going to work out just fine, and I was right!"

Upsie Daisy's expression turns cold as ice, while Morning Dew's face turns bright red instead.

  94. [2012-08-17 22:12:40] * Thunderbird looks up to see Lucidity leading others back. "Well, here's someone that might need a little nudge like that from time to time. I'll let the Princess tell you why if she decides to confide in you. Welcome back, Princess Lucidity!"

  97. [2012-08-17 22:18:29] <icekatze> 12When the only response Xavi can manage is a gurgling exhale, Sugar Lump reaches out and drags him back inside. Once everyone is aboard, the Chrysalis grudgingly lifts back up into the night sky. The voice from the pegasus driver calls back eagerly, "We're heading back home, right? Thats the plan?"

  99. [2012-08-17 22:25:01] * Lucidity smiles back to Thunderbird. "We have found Wonderful's friends. Isn't that wonderful?"

  101. [2012-08-17 22:28:06] <icekatze> 12While it is certainly not a long trip back to Dodge Junction, the hour or two flight seems to drag on as many of the former captives are overcome by exhaustion and the others sit in an awkward silence.

  105. [2012-08-17 22:34:12] <icekatze> 12Felt Heart: "I suspect that will depend on the ponies of Dodge Junction. I can not imagine they will be terribly happy to see us."

  107. [2012-08-17 22:41:09] <icekatze> 12Finally the Chrysalis arrives safe and sound, back in Dodge Junction. Although flying into town in the middle of the night is a common occurrence, you notice that there are significantly fewer lights, and only a hoof full of guards on the wall this time around.
  108. [2012-08-17 22:42:56] <Sky_Shine> "I won't let them hurt you and your loyal guard."
  109. [2012-08-17 22:45:29] * Xavi- bemoans his sorry state then decides trying to curl up ith Sugar Lump is the best thing he can do.
  110. [2012-08-17 22:48:39] * Thunderbird follows Lucidity over and comfortingly pets Xavi. "We can always go back when you're feeling better...though we really will need to do something about that powerplant. I don't think it would be healthy for you to sit on anything with that kind of glow."
  111. [2012-08-17 22:51:05] * Lucidity nods. "I'm sure we'll be able to retrieve your throne."
  112. [2012-08-17 22:51:15] * Xavi- is patted and content. But later it would be his!
  113. [2012-08-17 22:51:28] <icekatze> 12The Chrysalis touches down and the pegasus pilot unstraps himself from the harness with an exhausted whinny. The former captives start piling out as well, but in the dead of night, there is nopony out and about to greet them.
  114. [2012-08-17 22:53:32] * Thunderbird exits the Chrysalis to give their pilot a smile. "Thank you very much for your assistance. We couldn't have saved them without you."
  115. [2012-08-17 22:55:09] * Lucidity casts her healing magic on the pegasus pilot, hoping to ease his exhaustion. "Thank you. We are in your debt. What is your name?"
  116. [2012-08-17 23:00:03] <icekatze> 12The dark grey pegasus straightens up when Lucidity casts her healing spell, not entirely sure what to make of it at first. He mumbles "So thats what Unicorn magic feels like," under his breath before speaking up, "I'm just glad I could help... it was quite a mess back there, and you'll have to forgive me for saying so, but I hope I don't have to do anything like that again soon. The name's Overcast."
  117. [2012-08-17 23:02:28] * Sky_Shine stays near Felt Heart and looks at her guard "I don't think i caught your name miss?"
  118. [2012-08-17 23:05:10] <icekatze> 12One of the rail cars from the train has been pulled into the town square, though it has been picked clean of whatever was held inside. Felt Heart nudges Morning Dew off in the direction of the infirmary, and stays out of Upsie Daisy's way as he follows along.
  119. [2012-08-17 23:08:05] * Xavi- forces himself back up and tries to make his way to the infirmary.
  120. [2012-08-17 23:10:08] <icekatze> 12The guard pony's gaze is constantly searching the surroundings for danger. Without looking at Sky Shine, she speaks in a gentle voice, simply saying "Crabapple."
  121. [2012-08-17 23:18:00] * Lucidity nuzzles the pegasus. "Thank you, Overcast."
  122. [2012-08-17 23:19:17] * Thunderbird bows to the pegasus. "If you ever need something fixed, just ask me!"
  123. [2012-08-17 23:21:27] <icekatze> 12Overcast scrapes his hoof along the ground, "It... it was the least I could do. And thank you, I won't forget it." He looks up to the little cloud village floating overhead, "Um... They're probably wondering about me by now."
  124. [2012-08-17 23:22:56] * Lucidity smiles. "Then let us go show them that you are all right."
  125. [2012-08-17 23:23:26] * Lucidity takes to wing, heading for the cloud village, urging for him to follow.
  126. [2012-08-17 23:23:43] * Thunderbird chuckles, "Go on then, and get your hero's welcome. Princess Lucidity can let them know you earned it."

  128. [2012-08-17 23:27:14] <icekatze> 12Xavi tries to make his way to the infirmary, but Sugar Lump trots up behind him, "Hey, where do you think you're going? We've got some unfinished business." Biting down on the end of his tail, Sugar Lump starts pulling him off in another direction.

  130. [2012-08-17 23:30:38] * Sky_Shine sticks with Felt Heart and Crabapple making sure no one messes with them

[2012-08-17 23:32:33] <icekatze> 12While Overcast and Lucidity fly up into the sky, Thunderbird is left standing around on the ground when Doctor Temprance comes marching straight across the yard towards her. Far from the dejected mare she was a few days ago, her expression is burning with determination. "Thunderhoof was it?"

  134. [2012-08-17 23:46:31] * Thunderbird turns to the doctor with a cautious smile. "Thunderbird, actually, but I don't blame you for the mix up. It's a popular name for buffalos, usually one for the males, but I seem to recall at least one particularly solid hefer... Nevermind. What's on your mind?"
  135. [2012-08-17 23:50:31] <Sky_Shine> "I'm not sure but we travel to many places seeing new sights helping ponies."
  136. [2012-08-17 23:50:49] <icekatze> 12Doctor Temprance doesn't return the smile, her serious expression barely flinches. "Thunderbird, I beg your pardon. I have a proposition for you and your friends. I can help remove the implant we put in your head, but in return, I want you to hunt down Doctor Earwig. You know what he looks like, and I know you have the talents to do it."
  137. [2012-08-17 23:53:28] * Xavi- has a more than plearurable experiance with Sugar Lump leaving the Zebra feeling quite happy depite every other problem he's been having.
