- Privacy Policy for RandUserNameGenerator
- Last Updated: March 2026
- 1. Data Collection and Usage
- RandUserNameGenerator ("the Extension") does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, usage data, or tracking information. The Extension operates 100% locally on your device.
- 2. Permissions
- The Extension requires the following permissions to function properly:
- storage: Used strictly to save your local generation preferences (such as username length, style, and inclusion of numbers/symbols) securely on your own device.
- activeTab & scripting: Used locally to temporarily interact with the active webpage in order to detect account creation forms and inject the generated username into the form fields. This data is processed in real-time on your machine and is never transmitted out of the browser.
- Host Permissions (<all_urls>): Necessary for the extension to detect account input fields on any website. We do not read or record your browsing history.
- 3. Third Parties
- Because the Extension does not collect any data, your data is never sold, transferred, or shared with third parties.
- 4. Contact
- If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please contact the developer via the Chrome Web Store support page.
