They&#39;re baaaaaaack! Rocky, Colt and Tum Tum in their first adventure since their last! Now, older, and more advanced. Grandpa now tells them they&#39;re ready to learn from a teacher in Japan. But before they can go, the boys have a baseball match which really takes a turn for the worse. Also, a childhood rival of Grandpa Mori Shintaro&#39;s (Funny, wasn&#39;t his last name Tanaka in the last movie? Oh well) by the name of Koga wants revenge for a past accident, and because Grandpa has in his possession a dagger from a championship match that he felt he should&#39;ve won, so he sends his dimwitted nephew and two of his numb skulled buddies to Grandpa&#39;s house to get it. Rocky, Colt and Tum Tum meet them and really kick things up. Later on, Grandpa goes to Japan and get&#39;s in a cab accident, so the boys use &quot;Ninjanuity&quot; to get there and help. While in Japan, the boys make new friends and new enemies.
During a championship baseball match, the three brothers hear that their grandfather in Japan is in trouble, and head out to help him, conceding the match. When they arrive in Japan, they must use all their powers to defend him against his ancient enemy, who has returned to exact revenge.
This plot was just too similar to Karate Kid Part 2, it was just so stupid. But I rented these movies for my cousin because for some reason, he enjoys them. But I can see why, I mean it has kid&#39;s humor and a happy ending. My only problem though was the fact that once again there were three idiot&#39;s who were the &quot;Rockers&quot; and couldn&#39;t harm one kid because as usual, they&#39;re too stoned to realize what&#39;s going on. The villain seems harmless and just happens to have a change of heart like the Karate Kid movies, mainly Part 2. If you&#39;ve seem &#39;em too, you know what I mean. While the 3 Ninja movies are good for the kids, I have to admit even for them, it&#39;s still a little too silly.<br/><br/>3/10
what a fantastic blast from the past. the comedy, the generic character dynamics, and the morals hold up even now more than a decade later.<br/><br/>the movie centers around 3 children - rocky, colt, and tum tum (the last who is too young to be anything but comedic relief) and their quest to help their grandfather return a mythical dagger. but along the way, they utilize their grandfather&#39;s teachings on being a ninja (using &quot;ninjuity&quot; - their words, not mine) and begin an adventure that strikes of an indiana jones tale on a smaller, tamer scale.<br/><br/>the camera pans are excellent - probably an unnoticed feature of the movie is the way they show first person perspective, and the way they shoot japan from the perspective of the 3 ninjas. the comedy is gold (at least for the time).<br/><br/>the movie is designed for children and engages in childish humor - you have silly slapstick, childish repartee, fart jokes, and the whole gamut of tame childhood morals and experiences.<br/><br/>i have never seen any other 3 ninjas movie, but i do know i saw this one over and over again when i was a kid. i heavily recommend it for kids although adults won&#39;t appreciate it as much or at all if they&#39;re seeing it for the first time. otherwise the nostalgia factor is super high.
