- Gloves:
- Starting gloves:
- Life and res, simply buy one from trade, just get the highest amount of res and life for as much as you can afford, i'd limit myself to around 20c because it's fairly trivial to get good intermediate version of these so you'd want to save currency for that later on
- Intermediate gloves:
- Step 1
- Any high evasion base Hunter gloves of ilvl84, since you aren't really looking to roll evasion prefixes on them the highest 3 evasion bases are very minimal difference bewtween them, so just get as good base as long as it's not too expensive, ideal would be Slink Gloves
- Don't get fooled by Gripped Gloves, their implicit states Increased Projectile ATTACK damage and is worthless for your damage over time, so you'd be paying a premium for nothing
- Step 2
- Roll them with Prisitine + Aberrant fossils until you get good life(tier 3 or higher), tier 1 chaos damage over time multiplier and other good stats,
- you'd want at least 1 open prefix or suffix to craft either Attack speed or Damage during flask effect,
- these give pretty similar dps so either a prefix or suffix open is fine, but suffixes are generally more valuable(resists) and you can roll attack speed naturally on gloves so if you can afford it you might give it a few more fossils until you hit good suffixes
- Amount of tries needed to get a pair of ok gloves(t3 life and t1 chaos dot multi + whatever else) is around 20, amount of tries to get a pair of good gloves is around 60, Pristine + Aberrant + Potent resonator were about 5c total in past leagues so between 100-300 chaos depending on your luck and how much you can afford
- Step 3(optional)
- If you manage to roll a pair of gloves with really great suffixes for example tier 1 chaos multiplier, tier 2+ resistance + attack speed or 2 tier 2+ resistances but your life roll is low, or you rolled with no life you can try couple of reforge keepign suffixes if they're not too expensive, if they're sub 50c it's definitely worth to try to at least get an open prefix to craft life on them
- Luxury gloves
- I won't recommend a luxury version of gloves slot for few reasons, most other combinations you could get on gloves that are good requires an awakener orb and fairly high amounts of reforge keeping suffixes or reforge keeping prefixes or reforge in concjuction with prefixes/suffixes cannot be changed since the influence mods have no tags to be targeted with fossils or harvest reforges outside of before mentioned chaos damage over time multiplier
- This results in your item having pretty much no other good stats outside of the 2-3 influence mods unless you throw a ton of money on it, it therefore also puts the strain on the rest of your gear, namely jewellery to fill the resist and life needs, further multiplying the overall cost of your gear
- I'd simply focus on getting as best roll of the Hunter gloves Intermediate variation with as much res and life on them in concjuction with chaos damage over time multiplier as your endgame goal here
- Helmet
- Starting Helmet:
- Life and Resistances, as much as you can get for about 30-50c, look for a helmet with an open prefix to craft +10% increased aoe
- Intermediate helmet:
- Step 1
- Get any base with one of the following enchants of as high item level as you can afford and as good base as you can afford, preferably some evasion(no need to go higher than 84 for max resists roll)
- Useful helmet enchants:
- Toxic rain deals 40% increased damage
- Despair has 30% increased effect
- Blood rage grants additional 12% attack speed
- Withered step afflicts 3 additional withered debuffs(slightly faster ramp up time on bosses, better map clear early on)
- either of the above enchants offers similar dps gain, differences are miniscule and depends on how much other increased modifiers to either damage or attack speed you have, Toxic rain deals 40% increased damage is the most reliable one since it needs no conditions to apply, that means it's there even when you fuck up and forget your buffs
- Toxic Rain fires an additional projectile - Probably the best mapping enchant
- Smoke mine grants additional 30% movement speed
- You already have more movement speed than your damage can handle most likely, this is however really good if you're utilizing one of the speedfarming strategies, like speedfarming essences or harvests or delving
- Best bet on rolling the helmet with high life and resists is one of the following fossil combos:
- Pristine + Metallic + Scorched
- Pristine + Metallic + Frigid
- These 2 combos will give you the best chances of getting life + double res in least amount of tries but they will block you from potentially getting triple res, so only do this if you're really struggling for currency early OR if you don't need one of the cold or fire res because you already have it on other gear slots
- Best combo to use to get life + triple res is
- Pristine + Metallic + Prismatic
- Why not aberrant fossils, they're cheap and i said that you should get chaos res to positive, meaning at least 1 good chaos roll on gear?
- Well 2 reasons,
- 1)The above proposed method doesn't exclude the possibility of getting chaos res, but aberrant would prevent you from getting lightning res if you need it
- 2)you roll some other pieces of gear with aberrant fossils, not specifically targeting chaos res, but as a side effect of trying to get chaos damage multiplier, you also increase the chance of getting the chaos res, you also roll your cluster jewels with aberrant fossils so there's a high likelihod you'll get some chaos res from small nodes also, i'd focus on elemental res on my helmet
- Luxury helmet :
- Step 1
- Get an ilvl 85(it's important that its 85 for this step) helmet with one of the enchants mentioned in Intermediate section, Use an alchemy orb until 1 open mod and use hunter exalted orb on it
- or simply buy an ilvl 85 hunter base with one of the enchants if it's cheaper and they exist at all
- Step 2
- Roll it with Pristine + Aberrant fossils until you hit high life and Nearby enemies have -9 chaos resistance
- Remember that you need an open prefix for 10% increased area off effect here unless you got it on your elder quiver
- Optional:
- If you rolled another influenced mod you could try gambiling with a Maven orb to elevate the chaos res roll to -12, you can always recraft it back in about 40 tries which if you're looking into luxury section means you can probably afford it
- Boots
- Best enchant:
- 8% Chance to dodge spell hits if you've been hit with spell damage recently
- Ok enchants:
- 10% Movement speed if you haven't been hit recently
- 12% Attack and cast speed if you have killed recently
- These pretty much only increase clear speed
- Starting boots:
- Life + resistances, craft movement speed and later once you unlock it or pay someone to craft it craft hybrid movement speed/chance to gain onslaught on kill of highest tier
- This build gets so much movement speed from flasks and other buffs that difference between both of these crafted movement speed mods and tier 1 movement speed is barely noticable, you will be capped by your damage much sooner than you will be capped by your movement speed
- Intermediate Boots:
- If you can fit the resists elsewhere:
- Atziri's step with the good enchant
- If you need resists on your boots get Redeemer influenced boots with 10% chance to dodge spell hits With good life and resists and open prefix to craft movement speed + chance to gain onslaught on kill
- Buying these from market is your best bet
- Luxury boot slot is unnecessary since as a Deadeye you already have Tailwind and other boot influence mods are pretty meh, just try to get as good as pair of redeemer boots as possible or Try to fix your resists elsewhere because Atziri's step are really strong here
