Aboyt me leaving OFS

Has many of you are probably already aware, I have been involved in a situation in the overfishing server that led me to part ways with the OFS staff and with the server itself.

It is kinda unfortunate the OFS staff decided to ping everyone. Although the way they worded their message makes it sound like I was kicked out of staff, in reality I want to make it clear stepping down has been my own decision, as well as leaving the OFS server.

As I already explained privately to the previous and current OFS staff members, my internet history goes a long way, including moderation roles across speedrunning communities, some of which I am still active on. Of all the internet spaces I've been in throughout my life, I have to give credit to the salmon run community as a whole for giving me the possibility of making great friendships.

However, at the same time, I cannot ignore the community is also, probably, the one place that made me feel the most uncomfortable I've ever been online, both as a normal member and later as a staff member.

Starting from when I used to be a beginner and people quite openly used to laugh at me for my lack of skills, to when some people who quite rudely defined me unworthy of playing with them. Up to some recent pretty dubious comments that have been made about me both openly and on other private servers, the general impression that I've been having about OFS is that at times my presence not only felt uncomfortable, but straight up unwanted.

There is a constant climate of tension inside OFS and within the community, and it's kinda like an open secret. The general attitude of several members of the community has always been kept an eye on within the western, as well as in the eastern community, to the point of the JP overfishing community being very closed off towards western players. It's clear there is little intention of wanting to improve the current situation, and the internal bickering among our own community clearly doesn't help in making it any better.

Just to be clear, I am not banned from OFS, but I have no intention of rejoining it. What happened between our internal arguing among staff will be kept private out of respect towards the people involved. However, it would have been appreciated if the same respect was showed by OFS when they, although without naming me directly, clearly referred to me in a @everyone ping that seems to have been made just for the public shaming.
To my eyes, this makes it clear I am not welcome anymore, and I have no reason to interact with people who are clearly stating I'm not welcome.

I am still available online and I am still playing and enjoying salmon run. What I had to learn about the game, I already learned. People who are willing to reach out to me are welcome and know I am still around in other Splatoon servers.
