Aaron_Bennet brings Baxter and any of the others wanting to come to the Medbay with him after school.
06[21:22] * Aaron_Bennet leads them to Youn's bed, "Hey Youn..."
06[21:24] * Kalil_Ashara has tagged along, despite having no clue what's gone on.
06[21:26] * Aaron_Bennet takes her hand. "How are you feeling?"
01[21:26] <Baxter_Haley> Baxter, once more energetic and cheerful has come along as well. Dressed up in his new, much more fitting clothes, he seems rather lively. With him, he's brought a half dozen daisies and a container to place them, as a get well card.
06[21:27] * YounHa_So 's entire body has been scalded into a fierce red, and though none of the burns look too serious, she's covered in all sorts of bandages across her body. Seeing the others enter, she takes a deep breath, trying not to scream, "O-oh.....hello....." Her voice is hoarse and worn from all the screaming earlier. As Aaron takes her hand she gives a sharp breath, with a small cry "Ow..."
06[21:27] * Kalil_Ashara just offers a "Hey."
06[21:27] * Aaron_Bennet releases it, "I'm sorry."
01[21:30] <Baxter_Haley> "Oh no," Baxter says softly, surprised at her appearence. He swiftly makes his way to her side and asks, "Miss YounHa, are you alright?" Concern washs over him, and his eyes begin to tear up.
06[21:31] * Kalil_Ashara gives her a look over. "She'll heal. Doesn't look all that bad, really."
06[21:32] * YounHa_So gives a small cough, "I...hurt...b-but...I...am...okay...." She tries to remain motionless on the bed, "B-but..I...am..sad....that...Aaron...Eva....do not...like...Youn...."
[21:32] <Kalil_Ashara> "Hm? His eva doesn't like you?"
[21:33] <Aaron_Bennet> "We were going to test in each others Eva, see if we could operate them."
06[21:33] * Aaron_Bennet shakes his head.
[21:33] <Aaron_Bennet> "There must be something wrong with Ea."
[21:34] <Kalil_Ashara> "You think it's your Eva's fault?"
01[21:34] <Baxter_Haley> "So we're not cross compatable?" Baxter inquires, before offering Youn an envelope.
[21:34] <Aaron_Bennet> "We are. Me and Youn both managed to sync with two of the Evas in Tokyo."
[21:35] <Kalil_Ashara> "Think it's worth trying with different ones, or..."
06[21:35] * YounHa_So gives a small, hoarse sigh as she looks at the envelope, "Th-thank...you...b-but...I...c-can...not....<take it>"
[21:35] <Aaron_Bennet> "I thought it was, but I suppose not any more."
06[21:37] * Baxter_Haley takes a seat next to Youn, before taking back the envelope. Nervously, he begins to smooth out the wrinkles in his clothes alternately between observing Aaron's converation and Youn. "Why not, miss YounHa?" he asks, still alarmed.
[21:37] <Kalil_Ashara> "Is it just me, or does nothing ever go right around here?"
[21:38] <YounHa_So> "B-Baxter...i-it...h-hurt...t-to...move....." Youn sighs, "S-sorry..."
01[21:39] <Baxter_Haley> "Oh," he replies lamely, obviously embarrassed. Looking down to the ground with shame, he asks, "<Is there anything I can do to help?>"
06[21:43] * YounHa_So shifts a bit, biting her lip as she moves, "I....am..o-okay...." Youn looks over to Aaron, "S-sorry...I..not...make..Ea...like...me...."
[21:43] <Kalil_Ashara> "I really doubt it's your fault."
[21:44] <Aaron_Bennet> "I'm sorry I asked you to do it..."
06[21:45] * YounHa_So wants to shake her head, "N-no...I...am...s-sorry....I...s-say...I....am...o-okay....with it...." She strains a bit to look at Kalil, "B-but....I...um...I...do...other....s-so...good...b-but...not this...."
01[21:46] <Baxter_Haley> Turning to Aaron, Baxter shuffles in his seat uncomfortably. "So, you asked her to do it?" he asks, his words lacking an accusing tone.
[21:46] <Aaron_Bennet> "Persephone was hurting her. I wanted a better option, so I thought Ea might be a better way to have her be deployed."
[21:49] <Kalil_Ashara> "It wasn't a bad idea, honestly."
[21:50] <Kalil_Ashara> "Especially if you've used other ones before and it's worked out fine."
01[21:50] <Baxter_Haley> "Well, scienctific process requires repeatablity. So, we have to change a variable. I suggest the variable to be the pilot, if we're going to keep at this. I'll volunteer to try it again," Baxter suggests, his attitude doing a one eighty.
[21:51] <Aaron_Bennet> "It won't be tested again."
[21:54] <Kalil_Ashara> "What'd it do?"
[21:54] <Aaron_Bennet> "Berserked."
[21:55] <Kalil_Ashara> "Ah."
01[22:06] <Baxter_Haley> "Like during the fight with the storm cloud Angel, Ahzkiel, or something?" the boy asks, clearly confused.
[22:06] <Aaron_Bennet> "Something like that."
[22:07] <Kalil_Ashara> "That was weird."
06[22:09] * Baxter_Haley leans over in his seats, hands folding over as his elbows rest on his knees. Face hidden behind his hands, he suggests calmly, "What if Kalil and I switch Evas?"
[22:10] <Aaron_Bennet> "And if it berserks with her inside it?"
[22:10] <Kalil_Ashara> "What would that do though?"
[22:11] <Aaron_Bennet> "Hurt you, most likely."
[22:11] <Kalil_Ashara> "Not that, us switching."
[22:11] <Aaron_Bennet> "Oh? I don't know, nothing signifigant."
[22:11] <Aaron_Bennet> "It's kind of a silly suggestion in the first place."
[22:11] <Aaron_Bennet> "Especially after seeing what the results can be."
01[22:12] <Baxter_Haley> "It would find out if it's just Youn, though," Baxter notes.
01[22:12] <Baxter_Haley> [*miss YounHa]
[22:12] <Aaron_Bennet> "Does it matter?"
01[22:12] <Baxter_Haley> "Would you like to be forced to find out in the heat of battle?"
[22:12] <Kalil_Ashara> "Plus, I don't think mine is in too good shape."
[22:13] <Aaron_Bennet> "We're not going to find out in the heat of battle. We're not finding out. No one is using a different pilot's Eva. Not until the daemons are dead and gone."
[22:14] <Kalil_Ashara> "Uhm, yeah, mine kind of lost its head... Can they even fix that?"
[22:15] <Aaron_Bennet> "They are rather resilient."
01[22:15] <Baxter_Haley> Sighing, Baxter tries to explain calmly, "That might not always be an option. As it is, we're both down Kalil's eva, and miss YounHa. Thus, there is a possible combination of pilots, that may be required if an Angel shows up."
[22:16] <Aaron_Bennet> "A lovely sentiment. Sadly irrelevant."
01[22:17] <Baxter_Haley> "What do you mean?"
[22:18] <Aaron_Bennet> "If we're fighting an Angel, and we deploy an Eva and it berserks, begins attacking the others, our chances of stopping that angel have fallen signifigantly. They are not allowing for that risk, so no pilot will be deployed in another pilot's Eva."
01[22:20] <Baxter_Haley> "We're still down an effective war machine, two actually. I'm not saying we'd send it out with us, but as a last line of defense. It would be a useful piece of information. Besides, you said yourself it worked before. Whats to say it wasn't just your Eva?"
[22:20] <Aaron_Bennet> "Because mine isn't the first one to have done it."
01[22:21] <Baxter_Haley> Arching an eyebrow, Baxter asks, "To reject a pilot?"
[22:22] <Aaron_Bennet> "To go mental."
[22:23] <Kalil_Ashara> "Well, that's nice."
[22:30] <Aaron_Bennet> "If you're that desperate to try and hurt yourself, you can go try to beg them to let you test someone else's Eva, but they won't let you."
[22:31] <Aaron_Bennet> "Not after this."
06[22:31] * Baxter_Haley leans back into his chain, hands behind his head as he starts to scowl. "Well, not much else we can right now." Changing the topic, he asks, "Has anyone seen miss Hawke?"
[22:31] <Kalil_Ashara> "Nope."
[22:32] <Aaron_Bennet> "Not since we came back."
[22:32] <Kalil_Ashara> "Why?"
01[22:32] <Baxter_Haley> "I need to talk to her about something..." he replies, trailing off.
[22:33] <Aaron_Bennet> "I could get her number and you could try calling her."
[22:37] <Kalil_Ashara> "Well, have fun with that."
01[22:38] <Baxter_Haley> With a small smile, Baxter looks a little more pleased as he says, "Yeah, that would help Aaron."
[22:39] <Aaron_Bennet> "I think I'm going to stay here a while. I'll get it to you after I come home."
01[22:40] <Baxter_Haley> Baxter's eyes shift to Youn, as he considers saying something. "How about you go home and get some rest? I can keep an eye on her, so you can get some time to relax and unwind."
[22:44] <Aaron_Bennet> "I strongly doubt I'd be able to do that."
01[22:45] <Baxter_Haley> "Maybe. But I would feel better if I could help keep and eye on her. I probably know more than any of these interns here, at any rate," the boy admits, giving a look to the doorway to the room.
[22:46] <Kalil_Ashara> "You can both stay, you know."
[22:46] <Aaron_Bennet> "True but then you'd starve."
[22:47] <Kalil_Ashara> "Bah, I didn't starve before I got here, I could totally scavenge something from the fridge."
[22:47] <Aaron_Bennet> "I know, I was kidding."
01[22:47] <Baxter_Haley> "I did make lot for breakfast," Baxter replies with a laugh.
[22:48] <Kirika_Sato> "I don't think you made thaaat much breakfast."
06[22:48] * Kalil_Ashara said that.
[22:50] <Aaron_Bennet> "Youn, do you want me to stay?"
06[22:51] * YounHa_So has been relatively silent the whole time. She nods a bit, biting her lip as she does so, "Mm...b-but....Baxter can...be..here...too...i-if....he...want...."
[22:51] <Aaron_Bennet> "Fair, but if he's staying here because he thinks the Illuminati keep interns on staff, he's being an idiot."
01[22:59] <Baxter_Haley> "They're the illuminati, and we're the saviors of mankind. Why wouldn't they?" he says childishly, looking to a far wall.
[23:00] <Aaron_Bennet> "Well thanks for coming to visit her, Kalil. I'm sure Youn is happy you did too."
[23:00] <Kalil_Ashara> "No problem."
01[23:02] <Baxter_Haley> Standing up, Baxter nervously smoothes out imaginary wrinkles in his clothes, and says, "I'll go home. Someone has to keep an eye on Quint. Honestly, I'm starting to get worried, I haven't heard anything from him in weeks it feels like."
[23:02] <Kalil_Ashara> "He doesn't really look like he wants anything to do with us people."
[23:03] <Aaron_Bennet> "I'm a little confused why they even make him live with us, at times."
[23:04] <Kalil_Ashara> "Probably 'cuz it's easy to have all of us in one place?"
[23:04] <Aaron_Bennet> "They don't make Kushana stay with us, but she still lives in the same place."
[23:05] <Kalil_Ashara> "Dunno. Not really our business anyway, right?"
01[23:06] <Baxter_Haley> "Where she lives is none of our business. I hope that we can get closer with him."
[23:08] <Kalil_Ashara> "I wouldn't bother him, doesn't look like he wants to be bothered."
01[23:12] <Baxter_Haley> "Maybe not. But, lets hope he changes his mind," Baxter responds. Stretching his arms out, the boy inquires, "Would you like to go now, Kalil?"
[23:13] <Kalil_Ashara> "Sure."
01[23:14] <Baxter_Haley> Turning his attention to Aaron, Baxter asks, "Does Youn have any special diet things while she's here?"
06[23:15] * Aaron_Bennet looks to Youn. "Have they been giving you solid foods?"
[23:15] <YounHa_So> "N-no...i-if...that is...okay...."
06[23:16] * Aaron_Bennet looks back to the others, "I'll let you know when you can cook for her, Mr Haley."
01[23:17] <Baxter_Haley> "Very well," Baxter says, as he sits the flowers in a stand for nearby for Youn.
06[23:18] * YounHa_So looks over to the flowers, "O-oh.....Baxter....Th-thank you...f-for...that...
01[23:19] <Baxter_Haley> The daisy's bask in the sunlight, set in a vase near a windowsill. "It's no problem. Once the flower beds on the roof take off, we'll have plenty more," Baxter says with a laugh. "Get well soon, Youn."
[23:19] <Kalil_Ashara> "Yeah. That." She says, at the last bit.
[23:20] <YounHa_So> "O-oh...I..um..want...to...." Youn coughs a little bit, then settles back down to a less painful spot.
[23:24] <Kalil_Ashara> "Heh, don't worry, you'll heal."
[23:24] <Kalil_Ashara> "I should know, been through worse."
[23:27] <YounHa_So> "O-oh...that is...g-good..."
06[23:27] * Aaron_Bennet nods at them as they leave.
01[23:28] <Baxter_Haley> Waving goodbye to Aaron and Youn, Baxter gives Youn a small smile. Exiting, Baxter begins to talk about various inane things on the way home, none of them very important.
06[23:29] * Kalil_Ashara walks off with Baxter. "Uhh, okay..." (etc.)
