  1. The fox traipsed through hallways of a home that was not yet her own, it held an odd chill. It felt sterile and empty to her, yet she remained so careless and free, always a creature of Ionia in her movements. The very sight of her drew the mind to curiosity at how easily she must move there, her cloud of tails rounding corners after her. People spoke curiously of how freely she was allowed to move around the home of Swain, her fingers trailing along walls, curiously ringing bells, touching pictures. The estate had never been cleaner, for she was always careful to dust, wipe and polish. Ahri paused before the door to his study, closed as ever while he worked. While Jericho had never specifically said not to intrude she could almost feel it, and she did her best not to appear rude. She pressed her palm to the wood, smooth and dark, so elegantly carved and absurdly sturdy. She could feel it like it was alive though that was something she’d never questioned.

  3. The silence was curious, prompting her to open the door just a crack. Her ears flattened to the top of her head as she peered in, ready to explain away her presence. Yet... none was needed, for his face was in his palm, eyes closed. He looked more relaxed than one who was working would look and she supposed he was tired and resting. Her heart ached, slipping in and closing the door. She was quick to cross the room, hands hesitant to touch him. She did however bend to wrap arms arm him, standing just behind him. She guided her love to rest against her chest, fingers caressing his cheek, combing through his hair. Her chest felt tight as she looked at him, so peaceful despite the lines of his scowl still there.

  5. Her lips brushed along the top of his head as she sang oh-so-quietly, just for him. ‘For you there’ll be no more crying, for you the sun will be shining...and I feel that when I’m with you, it’s alright...I know it’s right.’ Little kisses found their way to his forehead as she hummed, holding him close. She buried her face into his hair. She hadn’t realized exactly how badly she’d been missing him, needing to hold him. Somewhere along the way, she’d lost her heart entirely to him.

  7. The way the room brightened when she saw him, the way her face lit up. Few could say they didn’t notice how openly Ahri loved him, so completely and utterly in love. There were questions on how, but it was evident he was fond of her too. Little touches, the way he spoke to her was just a fraction softer. The way he leaned in when she spoke at the dinner table. He even seemed to find amusement in watching her get ready in the morning, requiring significantly more time than he. She smiled when he’d reprimand her for being too affectionate in public, and it never wavered. Some considered her to be be-spelled, but those experienced in love knew that the fox loved him with everything she had. She often found herself sitting awake in bed, watching him. She was sure this bothered him, but she always rained kisses where he might voice it.

  9. In the mornings she loved finding his head resting on her chest, or belly. She never moved, and she suspected he knew she liked it, for more often she found him like that. At night whenever she’d finally decide to sleep she always pressed her face into his hair, one hand always seeking out one of his, demonic or not. She liked touch, to be close. He made her feel so much more complete than when she’d first taken human form, more at home than by her favourite brook in Ionia. Jericho was all she’d needed, and she’d walk by his side for as long as he’d have her. Her thoughts paused so she could speak, “I will never stop loving you.” the whisper was almost desperate, her heart skipping several beats. She held him, supporting him. Only if he woke would she move. Unwavering, spilling love with every gaze, word and smile. Ahri loved Jericho and she couldn’t imagine a life without him. Not in this lifetime.
