An average magus would only have about twenty-five units of magical energy through their Od, meaning that their maximum output of magical energy is limited to twenty-five units. Touko mentions that through her own circuits she is capable of manipulating about fifty units of magical energy, but mentions that she is able to bypass the limit. Of course, even with the knowledge of your circuits being so incredible in comparison to the rest of the world, you still weren't expecting the maximum amount of magical energy that Touko suggested you would be able to handle manipulating to be 'upwards of five thousand units, possibly even double that if you didn't mind dying.' Though she also mentioned that you shouldn't try using more than ten of your magic circuits at the same time unless you wanted to suffer a great deal or maybe die. Your circuits are so great that your body cannot handle their full output.
