  1. [20:14] Carrying one's sins up some stairs. What kind of nonsense was that? Even if he wanted to avoid bowing down to that Primordial Bruno would find himself unable to move on forward without picking up the weight of his very sins. A light frown occupied his features, something rather displeasing must have happened for things to get this way.
  2.
  3. From his early days growing up where he treated others as lesser than him for not carrying blood as noble as him. For his lack of care for human life that quickly grew. The weight of Bruno's sins went far and wide. The first stone cast upon him may have been launched by Miyeon, for when she treated him as one to be disliked her gathered his family, his comrades and descended upon her in order to have her exiled or beg for forgiveness.
  4.
  5. His numerous attacks on people in the wild for merely being before him and refusing to hand over their valuables all began with Bei, whom he emotionally tortured over the length of many, manymonths, eventually besting her before her very family, nearly killing her and allowing her to see how futile it was to bear love for those who brought no love to you. She'd died a miserable death, he was sure of it.
  6.
  7. The Coalescence's orders were the kind that Bruno was smart enough to understand. A primordial force being ripped away and contained would surely destabilize the world, and yet, for the sake of technology he would kill thousands.
  8.
  9. The weight of his sins only grew.
  10.
  11. His experiments with Nelly who's desire to help went beyond reason, allowing him to push the limits of her body further than any other research would find itself bringing. Torture, in a way, in the name of science. More than once, too, even after she'd spoken of it to others he decided it was best to still abuse of her kindness.
  12.
  13. His abuse of the very trust that Lyndis granted him allowed for something greater to flourish in time, yet by no means did Bruno earn his way into her Synthetic heart. He cheated. Reprogrammed. Messed with her priorities and even discarded those he deemed unworthy of her attention. He felt not an ounce of shame as he took her physical design and used it for his own research.
  14.
  15. To learn and practice occult magic had a weight of its own, too. He'd turned a woman mad and had broken the heart of his sister who saw naught but a monster in him after the fact. When she turned on him, so would he. He was selfish.
  16.
  17. He threw away Amnesia the moment she was no longer of use.
  18. He shocked Vion merely because he could.
  19. He mistreated prisoners.
  20. He shackled so, so many.
  21. Minerva's decision to turn down his offer to join the Empire was one that brought him to push Freda and Trik to experiment on her.
  22.
  23. Bruno, by all means, had acquired far too many sins for a young man his age.
  24.
  25. And yet he carried them. He knew of them all too well. Of his tampering, his cruelty, his horrible selfishness, hisdesire to bring forth the future above all, his lies to protect himself.
  26.
  27. The relationship he kept from the world.
  28.
  29. Each step felt like death.
  30. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33.
  34.
  35.
  36.
  37.
  38. [20:15] {NARRATION} "... I gave her all I had."
  39.
  40. Ascending steps would lead heroes and soldiers to that same figure. One locked behind decaying stone and howling winds.
  41.
  42. She who held within her hands those crystalized eyes of a goddess. Those which had been torn from her skull, plucked so that none other need suffer through her madness.
  43.
  44. "She... Had given me purpose."
  45.
  46. The voice of a man carried through this darkened abyss. Soldier and followers, none had ever meant to witness their goddess in a state such as this.
  47.
  48. "I shall not judge your sins, nor shall I see your souls cleansed as she."
  49.
  50. Light would flash and a figurant would stand beneath that massive statue of The Primordial. Wrapped in her all-consuming light - Guardian of these hallows halls whom looked between sin and sin.
  51.
  52. "You... Need only be returned. For I am her blade, neither shall spear nor gun reach past her blade."
  53.
  54. The Blind Goddess having brought together two paths to stand before this guardian of her gaze. No moves being made, naught more than a cold stare shifting between both Osronan Knights and Achyons Soldiers.
  55.
  56.
  57.
  58.
  59. [20:27] The brightest lights required the darkest responses. The Goddess' last remaining warrior was nothing that Achyon could not handle. Of course with Osrona trying their hand at destabilizing the future here there was no telling who'd strike first on the battlefield. This was no time to hold back, nor was it time to play nice.
  60.
  61. If history must be unwritten, let it be unwritten.
  62. Becoming what he must.
  63. Vile energies coalesced around the Aertas' form.
  64. Light was torn away.
  65. The foul stench of Occult could be felt upon the battlefield.
  66. For what could defeat the light but darkness itself?
  67.
  68. A sickening shot was loaded.
  69. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72.
  73. [20:34] {NARRATION} "Fire..!"
  74.
  75. "Ensure Achyon can't."
  76.
  77. Orders for each side.
  78.
  79. Decisions having been made.
  80.
  81. In a flash of light which cut through the darkness of this starlight abyss?
  82.
  83. The Primordials Champion attacked.
  84. [20:35] {NARRATION} [Everyone type /team 1!]
  85. [20:35] {NARRATION} [SS+ Level Spirit. 2.5 million HP assigned. Attack power of 600.]
  86.
  87. [Counting down in rouhly 60 seconds.]
  88.
  89. [Type /team 1.]
  90.
  91.
  92. [20:51] {NARRATION} Avalon would sing.
  93.
  94. She who had given this warrior endless life would push and push against the waves of soldiers and knights. Magical shells would be expelled into that darkness below. Armor which had broken and shattered against this warriors blade being lost into that same abyss.
  95.
  96. Warriors would fall and he would continue to rampage against the endless assault. Though, it was not all hopeless when faced with destruction. Cracking defenses and searing light would burn ever bright, though it would ever rush closer towards that fizzle of defeat.
  97.
  98. One had struck that final blow.
  99.
  100. Inches from being plunged and impaled by this weapon of a Guardian? He had been the one to pierce the heart of this lone warrior. The Soldier of Achyon, wielder of naught more than a common blade which had pierced these heavens. The Protector gave no words, no voice as the sword they wielded had been dropped at the feet of Ryker.
  101.
  102. He smiled, even in death. Knowing they had served their goddess well.
  103.
  104. The burn of holylight sizzled all those present, but once the spirit had been dismissed there is that lone, sapphire eye still floating in the void above. The blue gem with its lone iris watched and waited expectantly once the battle had ended, but with so many barely able to maintain conciousness let alone stand -- who could reach it? [Osrona and Achyon should select a Champion from those that still weren't defeated]
  105.
  106. ... And is it even a good idea to grab it?
  107.
  108.
  109. [20:54] As the light rained down upon them Bruno only seemed to let more and more of that inner darkness spill out. For each and every blow that came from this spirit had to be met with equal force - with its match.
  110.
  111. Be damned if he was the chosen of a primordial, Bruno's own divinity coursed in his veins awaiting for him to embrace it. The warrior's rush of lightspeed-attacks sliced right through Bruno, striking against but a shadow of the man he was moments prior. Even as the protector double-down would the Aertas pull out more tricks from his bag - surrounding himself with electricity in order to leave each slice more shocked than the previous one.
  112.
  113. Where light had been cut through this abyss of darkness Bruno worked to reforge it. Horrifying spells and curses were put onto the light-wielding chosen, aiming for his utter and complete destruction. One without contest. Without stop. Without any regards for what it would do to the world.
  114.
  115. The more he delved into it, the more Bruno...
  116.
  117. Loved it.
  118.
  119. As Ryker thrusted into the light Bruno would follow not too far behind - advancing with his weapon in hand. Rushing towards the last remaining artifact - the thing they came for.
  120. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  121. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  122.
  123.
  124. [21:00] {NARRATION} ... The race for the eye is on.
  125. [21:01] {NARRATION} Bruno vs Amori
  126. Aelrin vs Ryker
  127. Eve vs Roy
  128.
  129.
  130. [21:04] Bruno pyr Aertas says, "Get. Out. Of. The. Way."
  131. [21:05] He swings his blade back, hitching it back. Could his Inner Light shine, could he defeat what the Machine has already slain? There's a pause, as magic flickers off his body in responded blue light. Amori charges forward, moving for Bruno.
  132. (Amori)
  133. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  134.
  135. [21:06] The moment Amori shows himself before Bruno was the moment that a shot was unleashed. Occult forces overload his weapon for a mere instant before raining down upon the Osronan. Where a blade of light faced him the darkness which coated him was far plenty to defeat it.
  136. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  137. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  138.
  139. [21:08] {Won Dangerous RPB against Amori}
  140. [21:08] ** Bruno pyr Aertas has inflicted an injury upon Amori. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
  141. [21:15] There was no way that Achyon's forces would let themselves be defeated in a moment like this one. They finally had reached the goal they had set out to conquer after orders from Barsburg itself. The world was theirs to claim and Osrona would not get in the way of such.
  142.
  143. Blow after blow would the occult forces he wielded crash upon the man before him, his blade of light reduced to naught but another weapon to cleave through the shadow of a man.
  144.
  145. "Get out.. of the way!"
  146.
  147. He was louder than usual, the effects of his magic already reaching deeper into his mind and turning him more emotional, more intense, more violent. Shots aimed at both of his knees allowed for occult energies to pierce through and infect him like there was no tomorrow, eating away at the person that he was. Left like a sitting duck.
  148.
  149. Dark Fantasy was adjusted within Bruno's grasp and an immense amount of mana found itself gathering along the gun's barrel, allowing it to crackle with Hel's lightning itself. It was unleashed at once, hitting Amori square in the chest, exploding upwards into a pillar of death and decay.
  150.
  151. A massive shock would course through the man's body, leaving vile burns that only seemed to consume and wither any materials that aimed to heal it.
  152.
  153. Disgusting.
  154. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  155. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  156.
  157. [21:19] There's a loud crackle and bang where Hel lightning speeds through the air and hits Amori in the dead center of the chest. He's shot back a good dozen feet, sent careening through the dark abyss. The Radiant floats there for a while, a sick occultic rash barrelling across the skin underneath his armor and he groans in response.
  158.
  159. When he eventually catches his breath, barely standing, he makes his way back to the front lines of the battlefield.
  160. (Amori)
  161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  162.
  163.
  164.
  165. [21:21] "...B-Bruno..."
  166.
  167. Lyndis would simply watch as the battle of the eye unfolded. Amongst the battlefield, she'd try her best to retrieve her broken and bloodied comrades. Dragging them over and analyzing their conditions before she tried to help them as best she could. Though...
  168.
  169. What could she even do to help them
  170. "You're...going...to be...okay.."
  171.
  172. It was evident from the Synthetic's voice that she was quite shaky and battered. Having been majorly injured from the battle with the Primordial. Was it a miracle that she survived? Luck? Or...perhaps fate?
  173. "..."
  174.
  175. Lyndis would continue to watch the fight go underway between Achyon and Osrona's champions. Her attention being mostly set on Bruno as she witnessed him. The dark, chaotic energies that seeped off his body was...something that began to worry her. A rare emotion to feel for the analytic and curious Synth. She could not calculate or analyze what would happen to Bruno under the influence of such mana. It was...simply impossible.
  176.
  177. But he had to win. Lyndis knew that...he needed to have every bone in his body to win this fight
  178. "If only I was....repaired. I could..get...the....eye..."
  179.
  180. She'd look up the sky and the stars above as she simply kneeled after dragging her comrade away toward a safer spot away from the battlefield. Wondering if...perhaps she herself would be judged by the Stars that lie above one of these days. Such...blissful illusions were they not?
  181. "...."
  182.
  183. Lyndis was alive, but it was evident she could fight no more. All she could do was...sit and wait. And watch what was about to unfold next...
  184. "..."
  185.
  186. (Lyndis)
  187. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  188.
  189. [21:24] {NARRATION} The scramble for the Goddess Eye followed, the exchange of blade and magic lighting up the voidspace where reality seemed to twist and turn with the touch of divine magic. They followed the staircase to this realm and now they were in her domain, close to the very heart of the Blind Goddess.
  190.
  191. This was just scratching the surface of what was to come, though.
  192.
  193. But right now, their intentions are clear. The primordial object -
  194.
  195. - Three emerge. The odds are stacked in Achyon's favor, two on one...
  196.
  197. A steam of occult, light, and silver mana as they grasp at the eye.
  198.
  199. (Type /random 1 100 if you won your battle, then RP the result)
  200.
  201.
  202. [21:24] Too far, too slow.
  203.
  204. The damage that she has accrued from the battle causes Eve to be slower than previously. Her body has been injured, and the minute repairs that she have done affected and influenced her celerity. Every footfall felt like a herculean effort, as her hand reaches out towards the eye. She fails to reach.
  205.
  206. Her hand, does not reach it.
  207.
  208. She falls short.
  209.
  210. "A... Adam..." A whisper, as she watches Osronans move to take hold of the Eye.
  211.
  212. [46/100]
  213. (Eve)
  214. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  215.
  216.
  217. [21:33] Aelrin's eyes widened as he saw Eve and Bruno approach- No, not now! It was all up to chance at this very second, would the Light prevail within the Dark? Aelrin had to... Ryker had the blade, he had to get the object. Closing in now, further than ever around them 'The Goddess Eye' in his grasp...
  218.
  219. Through Aelrin's peripherals in the strange void-like realm, he could see Eve and Bruno's hands approach. He wrapped himself in Light then, closing his eyes as he pressed on. "I must, for Osrona!" He shouted, expanding his hands around and aiming to force a barrier- aiming to prevent them from reach.
  220.
  221. He descended past Eve and Bruno, the fighters gathering now and then as the battles subsided. He was victorious, he had the object then. The power of the Primordial object radiated throughout his body. He could feel it's power course through him then.
  222.
  223. Aelrin could feel a connection to the Light with the object then, but theconnection he could feel, likely came at a cost..
  224. (Aelrin Alcast)
  225. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  226.
  227. [21:36] Finally.
  228.
  229. Finally would the mistakes, the failures, the disappointments all have a reason to be. He'd defeated Amori. He climbed the stairs which had him carry the very weight of his sins, far, far more than any other. The stones that bogged down his legs were gone and the heavens were so close. He could feel it - smell it.
  230.
  231. He could almost touch him. For a moment this dark abyss rung out like Avalon, like his birthplace. Bruno was so, so close to crossing the threshold of no longer being a failure, of becoming a hero to those of Achyon.
  232.
  233. To prove Matryona that he was more than a mindless monster.
  234. To prove himself that he was worthy of inheriting it all.
  235. To prove the world that Bruno pyr Aertas was someone they should fear, they should respect, they should obey.
  236.
  237. The flash of light from within the darkness subsided and his outreached hand found itself moments away from snatching victory from—
  238.
  239. Thunk!
  240.
  241. A barrier presented itself before his oustretched hand, stopping his motion completely and allowing Aelrin to zip by, to claim victory before his very eyes and-
  242.
  243. "NO!"
  244.
  245. Outraged. Angry. Angrier than ever. Bruno actually yelled as occultic flames and sparks alike crashed against the semi-transparent barrier, unable to eat through it, to destroy it, to pierce its very nature.
  246.
  247. Why?
  248. Why, why, why, why, WHY?!
  249.
  250. More spells were hurled towards the barrier, yet none of them pierced it. Nothing could.
  251.
  252. Nothing he was capable of doing would let him win.
  253. On that day, he vowed to overcome it.
  254. To destroy that barrier.
  255. To destroy the very entity that protects the soul.
  256. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  257. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  258.
  259.
  260. [21:37] {NARRATION} There's a sudden, burning sensation when his fingers clenched the primordial object - the light escapes between his digits, rays of pure silver cascading out. The magical circuits around Aelrin's hand seemed to fizzle and burn, becoming as white as ivory as he dared to grasp the light that once blinded the primordial and left her eyes cursed.
  261.
  262. This reality space distorted, twisting. The stairs they climbed up seemed so distant below, yet everything around them was coming undone --
  263.
  264.
  265.
  266. [21:46] This defeat was clearly weighting heavily upon Bruno's very spirit, spells kept being flung towards the barrier so long as it stood, only forcing him away when the world began crumbling.
  267.
  268. He fell back. Not because he wanted to, but because he had no choice.
  269. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
  270. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  271.
  272. [21:51] "...."
  273.
  274. The howling winds of failure would follow the Achyon army as they made their way outside the crumbling temple. Preparing for the long march ahead...the atmosphere would be rather gloom, it would seem. As Osrona had won against them yet again.
  275.
  276. They had won the battle, but not the war..
  277. "...Bruno. Eve."
  278.
  279. Once they had arrived in Achyon, Lyndis would meet eyes with the two as she looked at them. Asking but one...simple question
  280. "...Are you okay?"
  281. (Lyndis)
  282. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  283.
  284. [21:53] As reality unraveled itself and sent them back home with a near victory Bruno seemed to be overly... silent. This was usual for him, though anyone who knew him could feel that something was off, naturally so. His blue gaze barely met with anyone, his arms remained crossed over his chest and he nearly stomped his way back.
  285.
  286. He was not okay.
  287. (Bruno pyr Aertas)
