  1. But I can't move, or even take my eyes off her. She seems to be asleep, or at least I hope she's asleep so maybe I'll have a chance to get out of here. With unreasonable effort I managed to turn myself around and try to leave quietly, but end up running like an idiot. I stumble over my own feet, my torch flies across the cave and into some sort of puddle, extinguishing it, and I fall face-first. There is a searing pain in my leg, and before I can stop myself. I let out a scream, and curse myself for making so much noise; she might wake up.

  3. There's a rustling, I swear there's a rustling. Desperately trying to ignore my pain, I try to stand up again, but the pain is too much. I slowly try and crawl in the darkness hoping I am not seen, hoping there is nothing to see me. A woman's inquisitive “hmm” told me that I was very wrong. I stay still, not even breathing, too scared to breathe. I think, no, I definitely hear footsteps. A warm hand touches me, and I let out a furious shriek and half-run half-crawl away before I stumble and twisted my leg again. That's just my luck.

  5. I cannot scream. She walks over to me, wither one of her arms covering her breasts and a look of genuine concern on her face. I wonder why she's covering her breast and leaving her crotch exposed; not that I mind the view.
  6.
  7. “You're hurt,” Maddie said in a pleasing, kind-yet-firm voice, a far cry from the nasally vocal fry she had beforehand. “I'll help you,” she said with a smile. I let out something between a bark and a whine and try to back off. “I will help you” she said walking closer to me. She grabbed my jaw and stated in the same soft tone “there is nothing you can do to stop me.”
  8.
  9. She props me up on her shoulder, and I didn't realize how much taller she has gotten. Maddie used to be more than a head shorter than me, and now we're about the same; perhaps she's slightly taller than even me. She slowly walks me back to what I suppose is her chamber, and she lays me on her bed. She walked around me, talking about how she found the camping supplies in her attic and how she thought that it'd be fun to get away from home and school for awhile.
