  1. What's the difference between Yumi/Sayaka and Satoru/Kei?
  2.
  3. I've run a lot with both, and I don't think there's any difference. Sayaka has monkeys in her run which can be caught instantly, eliminating some rng though, generally making a faster run easier.

  5.
  6. You keep swinging the bat mid jump and trying to fly?
  7.
  8. Boosting Jumping/Flying gets extra height useful for sequence breaking the levels. Boost Jumping is done by double jumping, swinging an item just after the 2nd jump and then interrupting it by switching to a different item. Main example of boost jumping is to get a monkey on Banana Heat faster and abusing the games auto-catching.
  9.
  10. Boost Flying is done by swinging an item just after a double jump, then interrupting the swing by switch to the flyer, then using it. Good example is just after Monkey Pink when it's used to scale a cliff face. It seems to reset the height the Flyer will send you depending on how good your timing is (jumping and flying, and flying off the floor send you the same height, but when you interrupt an item swing mid-double jump then fly the game forgets you're not on the ground, sending you the full height).

  13. Any difference between NTSC and PAL?
  14.
  15. I've played both and the NTSC version seems to lag a bit less. Nothing else apart from localisation hilarities (ROAST CHICKEN DELUXE!) that I have actually seen (have heard of a NTSC-J exclusive trick but not seen it, nor do I know what it is).
  16.
  17.
  18. You walked/jumped through that wall?
  19.
  20. This game has collision issues or something where walls join, especially doors, that means you can clip through. Each one works differently and I don't use all of them in the run due to their consistency. On average I lose more time trying to do them then doing the intended strat.
  21.
  22.
  23. You kept jumping with the ninja?
  24.
  25. As of 13/6/14 there is infinite jumping in AE3 found by DarkspinesSonic. This allows for some cool sequence breaks, however it is a little slow so it isn't convenient everywhere. It's done by gliding with the ninja morph, initiating a capture, and then jumping + gliding when the character seems to enter a running animation after they start falling. So each time you gain a bit of height. Best places for this at the moment are Tip Top Gun (to get the admiral monkey early) and the Specter Space Station (to skip the fists).

  30. What is Any%2 + Survival mode?
  31.
  32. In AE3 on your first run through the levels there are more then enough monkeys to catch to finish that level and unlock the next one. There are some you cannot catch because you dont have the tools yet and there are some that are not even loaded until you have beaten Specter for the first time. After the credits when you continue the save file you find out the freaky monkey 5 and Specter have escaped and this triggers the other monkeys to appear in the levels. After catching all 434 monkeys and beating the freaky 5 again you get a 2nd battle w/ specter which gives you the 2nd credits roll. And that is Any%2 aka All Monkeys.
  33.
  34. Survival mode is unlocked after you catch all the monkeys. In this mode you have to catch all monkeys in each level to continue and you start with all tools and morphs, however you have no lives (unless you pick them up). If you game over you can continue from your last save. Due to not having to revisit each level and boss this mode saves about 30 minutes on any%2.
