  1. SCP-79583
  2.
  3. SCP-79583 should be confined in a 10x10x10 concrete room. Previously known as "Lazy Purple", SCP-79583 has the unusual ability to physically enter videogames. Any video game the subject becomes attached to while this effect is active (and no longer controls the subject or SCP-79583) will be locked. It can be removed by SCP-79583 using SCP-3976-A.
  4.
  5. This effect can also only be activated while a video game is being played. Once the subject is attached, SCP-79583 will attempt to play the current video game, unless the next instance of the game is also being played, or the subject changes their attachment.
  6.
  7. SCP-79583 will only communicate when playing a video game, and it should be noted that any attempt to manipulate a video game will result in the current video game becoming locked as well.
  8.
  9. SCP-79583 is to be kept in a dark corner of the room whenever possible, and will be monitored, except for video game play, by SCP-3976-A.
  10.
  11. Description: SCP-79583 is an unknown individual whose anomalous effect is described as an intense, localized sense of nausea and discomfort that is perceived as being caused solely by an interaction with SCP-79583. This effect is described as affecting any and all persons nearby, not just the affected person, with minimal duration. SCP-79583 is currently contained in a sealed room in Site-17.
  12.
  13. Research: A thorough, comprehensive search is underway for a suitable subject for study who can induce and sustain this effect for prolonged periods of time and without causing noticeable symptoms.
  14.
  15. Addendum: On ██/██/████, SCP-79583 was observed to interact with several individuals and entities within the Foundation. The results of each individual's exposure to SCP-79583 are recorded below, including the subject's specific effects, the cause of the effect, the time of exposure, physical manifestations, and the cause of death that led to death.
  16.
  17. Subject: ██/█/20██ Subject is a female subject who claims to have taken a drug with an unknown effect. Subject is said to have become increasingly erratic.
  18.
  19. Any videgame the subject uses are henceforth known as SCP-79583-A. The object has been observed to respond to a variety of physical stimuli, including a human body, the current time, and the color of SCP-79583-A.
  20.
  21. The object's anomalous effects are as follows:
  22.
  23. The video game will become fully active when placed in a player's hand, and will continue for at least 20 seconds before shutting down.
  24.
  25. If SCP-79583-A is held in any other manner than in a player's hand, it will immediately cease.
  26.
  27. When the object is shaken, it emits a small stream of electrical currents towards any nearby objects. This stream will not damage any nearby materials.
  28.
  29. If SCP-79583-A is touched, it will emit a static discharge. Touching it will also cause it to produce electrical discharge. The force generated is not affected by gravity.
  30.
  31. When standing directly in front of SCP-79583-A, all sounds recorded by this apparatus will be reduced to silence, and then the sound of no sound will begin to play at a rate of approximately one per second. However, when standing at a distance of 20 centimeters away from SCP-79583-A or wearing headphones, a continuous sound of static noise will be emitted.
  32.
  33. It has been stated that SCP-79583-A is capable of producing a sound similar to the buzzing sound created by a bee, though it is unknown if the sound is the sound of SCP-79583-A or merely the sound of a buzzing bee. Audio recordings from close proximity to SCP-79583-A tend to have more detailed audio files than those that were recorded 10 to 15 meters away from a subject.
  34.
  35. SCP-79583 was placed on the MDR. When SCP-79583 was not found SCP-79583 was reassigned to Area-3.
  36.
  37. Addendum 1979583-I:
  38.
  39. Discovery: One ██████, N. S. H. A. ██████, and ██████ ██████ were arrested in ███████, ██, due to the discovery of ██████ █████-███'s personal ████ in her apartment. The police determined that the contents of the ████ were likely a ████ and not the ██████ that the property agent described.
  40.
  41. Investigation: Two of the subjects, █████'s brother █████ ██████ and █████, were detained and questioned. While the two individuals were initially charged as suspects in the ██████'s murder, subsequent investigation revealed that they were in fact members of the ██████████ Family. At ██:██, the ██████████ Family learned of the incident from one of their members and made it known that in the event of further loss or injury.
