  32. Rocket Shoes: Use an emergency tank on a pair of shoes.

  34. Cyborg: You must have robot parts in order to do this. Add a wire and power cell to your robot chest. Add two flashes to your robot head. Add your robot arms, legs, head, & chest to your robot frame. Add the brain to your robot. To get a brain, see --WEIRD SHIT-- category.

  36. Electric Chair: Add an electropack to a security helmet then attach to chair.

  38. Grenade: Add a timer/igniter assembly to a metal casing. Add a container with chemicals and/or any other biotic material necessary to the unsecured grenade. Use a screwdriver on to finish the grenade. (Can only get casings from traitor Chemist!)

  40. Medibot: Empty a Medpack. Add a robot arm to the Medpack. Add a health analyzer to the unfinished product. Add a proximity sensor to finish your Medibot. You can now add containers to the Medibot to make it inject the chemicals in said container.

  42. Pills: Insert a beaker containing chemicals into the Chem-Master 3000. Click on the Chem-Master 3000 with nothing in hand. Select the create pill option. Name the pill. The chemicals that were in the beaker are now in a pill.

  44. Robot Parts: With metal in main hand, click a robotic fabricator several times until you have added enough metal to the fabricator to make robot part. Click on the robotic fabricator with nothing in hand, choose a robot part. Wait until you receive the robot part.

  46. Securibot: Use a screwdriver on a remote signalling device. Attach the remote signalling device to a helmet. Weld a hole in the helmet and signaller assembly. Add a proximity sensor to the helmet and signaller assembly. Add a robot arm to the assembly. Add a stun baton to finish the Securibot.

  48. Buttbot: Use a robot arm on a butt.

  56. To fix this you need wires, a crowbar, a wrench, a screwdriver, and 4 paint cans filled with paint which you can order for 1000 credits from the quartermasters.
  57. Step 1. Screwdriver the maintenance panel open. Step 2. Use a crowbar to pry the maintenance panel off. Keep the panel for later! Step 3. use a wrench to remove the service module bolts. Step 4. Use wires to replace the burnt out wires. Step 5. Use all 5 units of each paint can you got from the crate you hopefully ordered and received from QM. Step 6. Wrench the bolts again. Step 7. Add the now removed maintenance panel back. Step 8. Resecure the panel with the screwdriver. Step 9. Paint everything pink and curse angriestibm.

  61. Mulebot: NOTE: To ride a Mulebot, drag your character on to it. Use a screwdriver on a Mulebot. Method 1: Cut wires with wire cutter. Cut wires until you find the one that allows you to ride the Mulebot. Mend wires that do not allow you to ride it. Method 2: Use a multi-tool to pulse wires until you find the one that allows you to ride the Mulebot. Cut that wire.

Memorize the wire that drops the door bolts. Go to a useful airlock. Cut every wire except the one that drops the door bolts. Use a crowbar on the door. 2: Use a multi-tool to pulse wires until you find the one that drops the door bolts. Cut every wire except the one that drops the door bolts. Use a crowbar on the door.

I decided to make a genetics guide, which I tried to make understandable by someone with no idea what they were doing, sorry if it sounds patronising but this explains everything I didn't understand when I first started with genetics. ISN and Vinney said it was fine to post but if any admins want it gone let me know!

  248. Structural Enzymes
  249. Control species (monkey or human only), powers and disabilities. This is an example of an SE:

  253. As you can see, it is a string of 42 letters and numbers, split into blocks (of which there are 14). Each block is further split into three sub-blocks, one for each letter or number. These blocks are three-digit hexadecimal blocks, and they have to be over or under a certain number to have an effect.

  255. Hexadecimal Numbers
  256. These are in base 16, whereas normal numbers are in base 10. While a normal digit goes from 0-9 and increasing over 9 resets it to 0 and adds 1 to the preceding digit (eg. 8, 9, 10), in hexadecimal it goes back to 0 once it increases over 15. However, there aren't characters that represent numbers over 10, so in hexadecimal letters are used:

  263. So the number 15 in hexadecimal is F, and the number 17 is 11.

  265. Emitter Settings
  266. The radiation emitter allows you to set both duration and intensity. Higher duration lowers the risk of random SE mutations, and lower intensity lowers the risk of these mutations being bad. There doesn't seem to be an advantage to higher radiation intensity and the disadvantages are pretty large, so I always leave this at 2. Higher duration lowers the chance of mutation by just 0.5% per extra second so I leave this at 1 - I find that each radiation of a block taking 10x longer for a 5% reduction in mutation chance isn't worthwhile.

  268. Changing Species
  269. This is very simple, block 14 always controls species. If the block is set to under 803 the target will be a human, if it is over 803 they will be a monkey. To turn a monkey into human irradiate block 14 subblock 1 until it is lower than 8. To turn a human into a monkey, make it 8 or above.

  271. Superpowers
  272. There are 4 superpowers that can be gained from genetics:

  274. Hulk - Your skin turns green and you become super strong. Allows you to break through everything from glass windows to r walls, and makes your punches do more damage and knock people back like the changeling's Horror Form attacks.
  275.  
  276. Telekinesis - Allows you to interact with objects and people from afar. Uses include stealing items from locked rooms and beating people to death with extinguishers from a distance.
  277.  
  278. Xray Vision - You can see everything around you as if there were no walls, including people and objects. This is the only power that has no visible sign, making it impossible to find without a player to test on.

  280. Heat Resistance - As far as I can tell, this makes you immune to burn damage and changes in body temperature. While initially this seems like the most useless power, it allows you to travel through space without a suit! Remember to bring a jetpack or an extinguisher though (bring back fart propulsion).

  282. The blocks that correspond to these powers are randomised every round out of blocks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13. Four of these will be powers and four will be disabilities. Each power is activated if the block is over a certain value, but even when the block is activated there is only a chance for the power to develop:

  290. The min. values can be randomised - there is roughly a 50% chance of randomisation, and if it is randomised a random number from -500 to 500 is added to the required activation value. Generally a value over DB* will activate any powers but if you are unlucky the actual value will be much higher!

  292. The Mutator Block
  293. This is one of the randomised blocks that will, upon being triggered (by any radiation), activate another random block. It gives the message 'You feel strange.' when activated. If you activate it usually I'd recommend deactivating it ASAP, although if you are using the Powering Up section of the guide below it won't matter much.

  295. Powering Up
  296. This is how I get powers, if you are lucky you can get all 4 powers within 15-20 minutes, if you are unlucky you will get 3 in that time.
  297.  
  298. 1. Turn a monkey into a human by changing block 14 subblock 1 to under 8.
  299. 2. Save the now human SE as buffer 1.
  300. 3. Irradiate block 2 subblock 1 until it is at D or above. If it is at D, irradiate subblock 2 until it reaches B (as DB* is above DAC).
  301. 4. The block is now active, but in all likelihood so are some defects via mutation. Irradiate subblock 1 of every block you don't want activated that is over 803 until it is 7 or less.
  302. 5. Now you have a randomised block acivated with no defects, and you need to find out if it is a power or a disability. Save it as buffer 2, put visor goggles from the medical closet in your pocket, and inject it into yourself. There are two possible outcomes:
  303. 6a. You get a disability. Oh dear! If it is blindness, put on the VISOR goggles from your pocket (you remembered to put them in your pocket, right?). Transfer the clean DNA from buffer 1 into the occupant of the machine (the monkey) and move onto the next power block (4, then 6, etc).
  304. 6b. Nothing happens or you get a power. Both of these mean the block you activated is a power, since disability blocks activate 100% of the time and there are no randomised blocks that do nothing. In this case, edit the label of the block to something like '1 power', and move on to the next randomised block.
  305. 7. For all randomised blocks after this, follow the same general method - inject the SE into you and reset it to the previous SE (with known power blocks activated) if something bad happens. If nothing bad happens it is a power, so save it and carry on.
  306. 8. Once you have 3 or 4 (up to you, 3 tends to be much easier) power blocks found with no disabilities, inject yourself with that SE. From here, there are two ways to activate the powers: Inject yourself with the Monkey>Human injector that starts on a table in genetics, or draw your blood and inject it with stable mutagen into yourself.

  308. Notes
  309. I usually don't bother curing defects that I have from testing, I just reset to the last defect-free SE, move on to the next block and cure the defect once I am ready to test the next SE.
  310. It is possible to use 'Transfer to occupant' on yourself, but I don't recommend it because it gives you a ton of radiation and causes all sorts of nasty things to happen. Just stick with injectors.
  311. It doesn't matter if the monkey you are testing on dies - SE can still be changed, saved and transferred with a dead monkey.
  312. It is a good idea to take an antitoxin pill or two, because injecting yourself with an SE causes a small amount of radiation damage which adds up over time.

  322. x in this case is the real coordinate(GPS Coordinate). y is a random divider either 1,2, or 4. z is a random number added on(this now will change every so often). f(x) is the coordinate you put in the computer. Some basic algebra can solve this.

  328. This is an example for only the X coordinate, however; finding the Y coordinate formula is the exact same method. I always try to find 1,1 through this method so I can

  330. 1. First find valid x/y/z levels.

  332. 2/Once you have found a valid set of coordinates, put a space gps on the pad(the next part will be easier if you set it's distress signal) and grab a gps for yourself.

  334. 3.Now use the teleporter to send the gps on the pad to it's location.

  336. 4.Using the second gps in your hand find where the teleporter actually sent the other gps.

  338. 5.Record the Computer X/Y and the Actual X/Y coordinates.

  340. 6.Receive the gps back. Now increase the computer coordinates by one. Send the gps again.

  342. 7.Record the actual x/y coordinates and the Computer x/y coordinates. Notice the change in real coordinates.

  344. 8.If it increases by 4, the y in the formula is 4, 2 y is 2, etc. Finding the z in the formula is just basic algebra at this point.

  346. Here is an example for the algebra illiterate. (160= 50/2 +z)->(160=25+z)->(135=z) So now for your equation you know that 135 is added on to your real x/2 coordinate. Using this we can simply substitute real coordinates for item locations(a whole bunch below). You will have to add on the equivalent of 1 x/y coordinate unit after this equation is done since you cannot get 0 as an x/y coordinate in byond.
