Introduction:

Welcome to Ninpocho Chronicles, The Naruto anime based role play game.

Ninpocho, established in 2004, is an alternate universe roleplay game based on the Anime, Naruto. Through the years our game has evolved beyond the anime while still remaining similar to the Anime/Manga.

Before you continue, please note that Ninpocho Chronicles is a professional/amateur roleplaying environment. This isn't your everyday forum like Go-Gaia where you goof around making pointless posts and replies, it's a forum with dedicated and proud roleplayers. By deciding to create a character on this forum, [b]you agree to follow our professional roleplaying standards, and agree to either roleplay with serious and professional style, or learn how to.[/b] We don't have time to deal with people who take this forum as any other mediocre roleplaying forum, so please [b]make signing up to Ninpocho Chronicles a dedication, seeing how it will take effort to write comprehensive roleplaying posts free of obvious spelling errors and grammatical errors[/b] (tip: Use a program with a spell check before posting your post).

As well note, it will take time to improve the individual statistics of your character due to the RPG nature of this game. People do not simply sign up as Sasuke or Naruto, for one that is not allowed, and as well in this RPG you will be making your OWN character. We have no characters from the Naruto anime in this game, nor have they ever existed in any form. Everyone begins as an Academy Student, and works their way up the ladder.

Ninpocho's Setting:

Ninpocho is based on the Naruto anime world and setting's vary based on the village you join. There are four main villages, two sub villages and many NPC villages and intervillage or countryside zones.

There are a few rules or limitations about the world you should be made aware of:

-Ninpocho boasts a stat system and battle system, which tethers your character to a certain rate of growth. Everyone starts as an academy student, everyone starts with randomly rolled stats between 1-10, and your character will be held within these constraints.

-Your new character must be between 8-14 when you join, however, aging afterward is at the player's discretion.

-Your character does not start with an active [url=]Bloodline[/url] or [url=]Core Ability[/url], you may choose one at 200 [url=]power level[url].

-Technology is limited on Ninpocho; we do not allow guns or any mechanical based weapon, we do not allow computers or any [u]advanced[/u] technology, we do not allow space travel or any of advanced/prolonged flight. Technology based on these objects is also severely reduced.

-Ninpocho is rated PG14 or a 2-2-3 based on the [url=]RPG rating board.[/url]

Ninpocho is not for everyone. If you wish to join a more Naruto-like forum or to play a different setting we might not be for you! But, if you are interested in joining us, read on to get started!

Getting started:

In order to create a character, you must first join the forum. To do this, you click the "join site" field, show below, or click here. Follow the instructions given and give the terms and conditions a quick read. Keep in mind, while choosing a user name, that it should reflect the name of your character to be, with last name first. No names from popular Anime, and no bloodline names, such as Uchiha. (If you plan to become an Uchiha or part of another bloodline and wish to have it as a last name, simply create a character with only a first name to start)

The symbols for 'wi' and 'we' were made obsolete by the Japanese Minsitry of Education in 1946 as part of its language reforms. The symbols 'ha', 'he' and 'wo' are pronounced 'wa', 'e' and 'o' respectively when used as grammatical particles.

Additional sounds are represented using diacritics or combination of syllables:

If you notice there are some simple changes from English to Japanese:

Ti -> Chi
Tu -> Tsu
Hu -> Fu
Yi -> I
Ye -> E
Zi -> Ji
Di -> Ji
Du -> Zu
Wi and We don't actually exist anymore! 8O

The Japanese language doesn't use the letter "L" because the "Ra, Ri, Ru etc." sounds are actually a minxture of "L" and "R" -> Meaning that anything you wanna write with an "L" will now be written with an "R"![/b]

Example: Kaido Nokaji. Or simply, Kaido if the full name is taken. If your first choice name is taken, please do not add numbers or symbols into the name, as you may be confused for a bot and find your account deleted. Try your characters first name, and if that too is taken choose a different name. Account names are on a first come basis.

If you have already signed up but the account name does not adhere to the rules, you may post here, or in admin request asking to have your name changed to your character to be by an admin. Please note this might take up to twelve hours and you do not need to wait for it to be changed before making a character. Simply post a link in your 'character creation thread' of your name change request so that the moderator knows the change will happen!

Congratulations, you have now made an account on Ninpocho. This means you can make posts and see a couple new forums! Time to move on to the next step!

Character Creation:

In the character creation, [url=]start a new post[/url]. Title it with the village you are joining first then your choosen character name.

[b]To create a character,[/b] you must first [b]decide which village you would like to join.[/b] Each village has it's own outlining of information and requirements to join their village. Each village is fairly similar in structure but unique in 'setting'and forms it's own smaller community within the forum.

[b]The villages to choose from are as follows:[/b]

Read through each village's outlined expectations and guides. Consider the setting of each and the character you might like to create. Try to choose the village that best meshes these together. If you have any questions feel free to send mods of each area a [url=blankPM]private message![/url]

[b]Next you need to choose a name.[/b] On Ninpocho we require players to have Japanese names, as oulined before in account creation with the same specifics. Your name should be the same as your account name, and hopefully by now you have already choosen it!

[b[Now that you have created a name you must choose an age.[/b] We ask that your character age range between eight and fourteen in the beginning. Anyone below this age woud not be accepted into theacademy and anyone above will have failed.

[b]You must write a history and a character description that meets the requirements of the village you have choosen to join![/b] Those requirements were outlined in the country information above and should have been noted when you decided on which village to join!

[b]When writing your history[/b] keep in mind that you may choose to come from one othe sub villags instead of the oen you are joining. Each village has an owner which you can contact for information on the villagein order to help you write your history.And history including another of the main villages will require the approval of that village as well, it is helpful to the moderator approving your character creation if you make note of this in your character creation! Keep in mind that your character has grown up in a shinobi work, is being trained as a soldier for their village and that loyalty has always been formost. Please try and have one parent/guardian alive for your character at the start, and try to come up with an original beginning!

[b[When writing your Character description[/b] keep in mind this can been looks and personality. Keep description broad as you may want to change your character later.

[b]If you share an IP address with another member,[/b]please post whom. It is against site rules to keep more than one account and admins will be checking!

If you need help creating a character, please feel free to contact any moderator via private message. The character creation process is more about being certain you can write than about making a solidly formed character, there will be time later to refine your character so do not be afraid to be creative or make alterations later!

Once you have been accepted into your village, you will be able to veiw your new village's forums. This will include the Academy, Training Areas and Profiles Areas. The moderator whom accepted your new character will supply links to forums most important to your new character. Take time to become familiar with your new village, the OOC forums and rules.

What to Expect:

As a new player, you begin as an Academy student. Your stats are rolled for you once you join one of the four main villages and post a profile.(See Profile template) Your stats are increased by training once a week by posting a roleplay or multiple roleplays to meet a certain word count(See Training Rules here). You will be given 5000 yen, and 3000 of that will automatically go towards buying your [url=http://www.ninpocho.com/naruto/phpBB2/shop_inventory.php?action=shoplist&shop=27]job item[/url] the [url=http://www.ninpocho.com/naruto/phpBB2/shop_inventory.php?action=displayitem&item=1591]notebook.[/url] By doing this, then going to employment central and choosing E-rank job, you become employed and may expect to be paid each day With that yen you may buy jutsu, abilities and other items in the shop. Your first priority will be to join academy lessons, help semi-constantly in each village's academy. As you grow stronger, complete lessons, and roleplay your character, you may apply to take exams. Each village has a different system by which they rank up and each character will experience unique situations and lessons.
