  1. The very first lesson that my CARE Tutor has taught us, if it could be summarized in a few words, was 'to anticipate change'. She was able to convey this message through the use of a comedic short titled 'Who Moved My Cheese', which I will talk about it in the next sentence, and a bunch of exercises at the end. Truthfully, I was obviously a bit skeptical when I first saw the title of the video, I asked myself, 'how could this possibly relate to the class'? But I understood, in the end, despite the weird use of 'cheese' as a metaphor for all of the hardships that might come my way in my life. This video taught me a lesson that will surely stick with me - to adapt and to overcome different situations. These are the two very important skills that will differentiate between the two kinds of people in this world - one who is willing to jump the hurdles, and the other who just sits there, on the track, dozing off and stoning. I have to confess, however, that I am both concurrently, usually alternating between the two depending on what kind of challenge one might throw at me. I could definitely handle a few Polytechnic projects. I could not, however, handle the decision of whether or not to save this or that friend. But I digress. However, I also do believe that if I might not be able 'to adapt and to overcome' as I've mentioned before, I could look to a friend, or someone, to help me. As they say, "a burden shared is a burden halved" but what they didn't say if it was if you shared it to the right person. But I digress again. All in all, I enjoyed this lesson as it was both fun and enjoyable while it was also able to convey such an important message using such a simple video. Very nice.
