Ship Fluff

In line with the German doctrine of Superior Firepower and Superior Armor and the Dersian Doctrine of SPEAR and SHIELD, its hull is plated with several yards of treated Manulyn alloy, providing for additional durability if at the cost of manueverability.

In line with the concept of Superior Firepower, it is armed with three Cruiser class Heavy Cannons mounted in a large turret, and it is more apt to say that the ship is built around these massive guns as opposed to them being built into the ship. Numerous other contemporary sized cannons line her deck and hull in various places, ensuring that no approach can be made without the ability to fire back in force. All but the rear guns are capable of rotating to an angle to fire upon a target in front of the ship.

Last but by no means least are the Dersian element and Pièce De Résistance, a large torpedo ram vaguely in the shape of a spear made of specially hardened
Curtinium, allowing her to break into shields and other ships, jamming into the hulls of large vessels and initiating boarding action, or reversing thrust to ram again.

Her engines are twin linked Thaumium reactors, and specifically built for ensuring maximum forward, or reverse thrust. This allows for swift forward motion necessary to ensure maximum damage while ramming or to arrive on targets to bear her guns. While not particularly suited for agility or 'dogfighitng' Dersian vessels make more than well enough with ample offensive and defensive capability.

She is captained Heinrich Falke, the Baron of Varnhagen and her crew consists of ablebodied German and Dersian men.
