She was a normal girl born to a Chinese mother and a Korean Father who never really cared much about her, they cared more about her older brother and loved him like a treasure while they left her to take care of herself at the age of 10 years old. She wasn't treated fairly by her parents, considering the fact they loved her brother because he was supposed to 'pass down the family name' and was going to continue their business for them when he reached the age of 17, they thought of her as useless so they made her take care of herself, provide for herself and never really cared if she were hurt or anything. She started to realized the difference in the way they treated her when her brother graduated from university and she entered middle school, they never cooked her food anymore and would only prepare 3 plates on the table, 2 when her father wasn't home due to work, when they bought her an apartment unit for her to live in because the house 'didn't have enough space' and when they never took care of her when she got sick. She didn't understand exactly why this was happening but she played along, the older she grew the more she understood the situation with her family, she felt unwanted and lonely due to her lack of friends.

She never thought her life would've been like that when she was younger, she was a dreamer as a child and always dreamed of being a dancer but instead there she was, surviving on cheap food and the small amount of money she earned from her job at the little internet cafe barely anyone goes to due to its lack of popularity.Thankfully her grades at school were well and she managed to earn herself a scholarship to a pretty good university where she tried to get accepted in medical school. She made a few friends but her problems always had to be kept to herself because she knew no one would understand her and her status of being 'the abandoned child' she referred herself to. She was really pressured with getting good grades to maintain her scholarship, keeping a stable life and a job up to the point where she didn't even realize her heart started to behave oddly. Unfortunately for her, everyone found out about her and her family's controversy which resulted in her being a social outcast no one wanted to ever be acquainted with because unlike other kids, she wasn't one of those rich kids who got into that university through bribing the headmaster with millions of money, she got in through her brain's power. Apparently people nowadays don't care about intelligence, all they wanted was to be popular and rich because that give you a 'high status' in school.

Sometime later she gave up trying to continue in medical school and signed up as an employee at a dance studio. Working there gave her the money she needed but it also helped her develop a love for dancing. From then on she trained and had working there as a part time job. One day a JYP manager booked the studio and saw her dancing, he was impressed. She decided to audition to be a starship trainee and the people there didn't judge her for her past.
