- A massive world filled with dangerous creatures and gigantic fortress' alike, this is the Western Isles. Everything there is in the Isles is reigned under one true King, the holder of the Lord Throne. Every generation there is a 'ritual', one could call it, where the passing of the current Holder signifies the Rebirth of the Undead. Four champions are chosen and from their graves they rise in an attempt to usurp the Lord Throne. The champion to claims the Lord Throne for himself can select a small Inner Circle, the Apostles as they have been called, were beings granted with immense power under the command of the Holder. They are his enforcers.
- You, as an individual, have been personally called out by the King of Caram, which is a massive city centered in the Western Isles. The King has asked you to form a party and investigate a sighting of a Champion. Upon encountering the Champion the King has asked you to accompany the Champion in his pilgrimage to the legendary city of Anara in order to become his Apostle and overtake the Lord Throne once it has been set in stone, so that the King of Caram may become the ruler of the Western Isles.
- While it is entirely up to the party how they achieve this, and whether or not they stay as Apostles faithfully or overthrow him.
- Welcome to the Western Isles.

- The Golden Rule:
- You may not kill other players. Any actions that cause harm to other players or non-hostile NPC’s (civilians, traders, etc.) may cause you to become Marked depending on your intent. The DM and affected player will decide on whether or not your character is marked for their actions.
- As a general rule, the DM will attempt to persuade players from committing crimes against one-another or NPCs. This is not concrete, but rather a preventative measure to keep players’ relationships and personalities strong. As you commit crimes, you will become marked. This means that the DM will not try to stop other players from harming you. You can be Marked for Blood or Marked for Death.
- Becoming Marked for Blood is a result of robbing, hurting, or sexually-assaulting other survivors, whether player or NPC. When you are Marked for Blood, other players will not be stopped from causing you minor or major injury until the debt has been paid. You may defend yourself during this, but any further crimes on your part shall deepen the metaphorical debt. Should this inadvertently lead to the Marked One’s death, the players responsible will also be Marked for Blood.
- Becoming Marked for Death is the result of killing, torturing, or cannibalizing innocent NPC’s or players. When you are Marked for Death, other players will not be stopped by the DM if they attempt to kill you. You may defend yourself during this, as you are already an outlaw. It is said that people who become Marked for Death are hounded by something unseen which tears away at their Sanity.
- A quick reminder when creating your character, you don't have to pick magic. If you want to be a dude who all he does is murder murder murder murder murder with his fists then go right ahead!
