Powers/Abilities: Enhanced durability, strength, reflexes and speed. Able to perform stunts and feats most humans cannot, such as lifting up to a small car's worth of weight, running at incredible speeds and surviving punishment that would kill a normal human. He'd rather not have to deal with that last one.
Notable Equipment: The Grandius. A "legendary" sword that can contains a small computer inside it, and can transform between a blade mode and a powerful laser gun. Biography
Samuel Baker was born in an alternate Earth that features both advanced technology and superhumans - in fact, the entire population of Earth has a kinetic ability of some sort, with such people being dubbed Ubermen, or Ubers for short. Growing up on a farm with his American father and French mother, Samuel had no ambition other than carrying on looking after the farm after his father had passed away. Although he would indeed be the first to admit that putting one's arm up a cow in labour was not the most glamorous of jobs.

Unfortunately, at the age of 13, he came across a drunken band of goblins trying to burn down the town hall. When they refused to stop, and indeed threatened him with violence, he surprised them by showing off his unexpected durability, speed and strength, defeating them in a matter of minutes. This did not go unnoticed by a band of the King's Guard that was passing that way, and within a few days he and his family were taken to the Kingdom of Washington, to make the acquaintance of King Jerrod I.

The world in which Samuel lived had a "tradition". Every generation, evil was said to rise as Morpheus, the dark God of Sleep, struggled to enter the world of the waking. When this occurred, a man was chosen in the world for extraordinary feats and courage against humble backgrounds, to face down the evil and ensure the world's safety. That man, known as the Destined Hero, would selflessly defend the world and ensure peace and tranquility for all. And for his bravery in fighting off the goblins, the world had chosen Samuel to be that man, to carry on the legacy of his ancestors.

Samuel did not want to be that man. He saw right away that it was a stupid and dangerous mission, full of unnecessary pain and strife, and wanted out. But because his world ran on bizarro Shonen Anime logic, he basically had no choice. Three of his years were spent in grueling training to prove his worth to wield the Grandius, the "legendary" weapon wielded by the first Destined Hero, and to be registered as a Class E Uber. And then the next ten were spent wandering the world lending a hand to idiotic yahoos with all the self-motivation of a punnet of watercress.

Needless to say, he's very annoyed by this.

Trivia:
- Nicodemus secretly believes himself to be too skinny for his height, despite the muscle he earned from his three years of training. This was caused by comments about his build in the training academy, and traditional depictions of the Destined Hero in media don't help at all.
  - Also, in ZFRP tradition, he thinks his butt is too big.
- Despite being half French, he only knows the lyrics to Sur Le Pont D'Avignon. His mother used to sing it to him as a baby. He also doesn't like frogs (see below)
- He has an uncharacteristic fondness for cake, which he admits that might be due to his mother being a baker.
- He's a cat person, preferring the quiet calm of cats to the constant noise and energy of dogs.
- He has intense batrachophobia (the fear of amphibians), and will start having a panic attack in the presence of frogs, salamanders and related animals. He is also mildly claustrophobic.
- His favorite video games are the Time Crisis series. Conversely, he intensely dislikes Zelda and Final Fantasy.
- If he would be any animal, he'd choose to be an octopus. This may be motivated, however, by the events in the Octopi are OP as Fuck story.
