  2. [21:28] <~Feldi> Having freed the two, Munashe accompanies them to the ship, before being called away to discuss a 'criminal mischief' charge to the ship.
  3. 06[21:29] * Caissa spends most of the trip sniping t Shiori
  4. 06[21:30] * Shiori teases back, trying to put on an air of not taking this seriously.
  5. 06[21:31] * Caissa also puts on a similar air. After all, she's just doing this for amusement. She's clearly not taking a barbarian seriously.
  6. 06[21:33] * Shiori decides to go to the bunkroom to at least argue on one of the couches.
  7. 06[21:33] * Caissa has followed, drones carrying her gear for her to whatever room she's staying in.
  8. [21:34] <~Feldi> By some odd stroke of fortune, the newly open room, with Agnes' departure, is right beside Shiori's.
  9. 01[21:35] <Shiori> "How convenient."
  10. 06[21:35] * Shiori smiles, finally grabbing a new cloth to cover her eye with.
  11. [21:35] <~Feldi> Isn't it?
  12. [21:36] <Caissa> "Oh yes. I'm sure I'll be able to hear you grunting through your primitive rituals very well from here."
  13. 01[21:37] <Shiori> "Actually, you should be more concerned about Erewhon Nights day."
  14. 06[21:38] * Caissa raises an eyebrow.
  15. [21:39] <Caissa> "This explains a lot about your love of large, thrusting objects."
  16. 01[21:40] <Shiori> "You don't like those? Well, that makes an opportunity~"
  17. [21:40] <Caissa> "I beg your pardon?"
  18. 06[21:41] * Shiori laughs, sitting down on the squishy couch. "That's actually kind of adorable, you should play the naive bookish waif more often."
  19. [21:43] <Caissa> "Oh, please." She rolls her eyes again.
  20. 01[21:45] <Shiori> "Well, with the boss man doing what he does and hiring new crew, looks like we have plenty of time to be mad at each other."

  22. [21:46] <Caissa> "How...lovely."
  23. 01[21:46] <Shiori> "You did have the option of staying in that cell."

  28. [21:51] <Caissa> "I'm concidering if it was the better option, yes."
  29. 06[21:54] * Shiori stretches out, laying over the couch.
  30. 06[21:54] * Caissa looks for somewhere to sit herself.
  31. 01[21:55] <Shiori> There are a number of couches and chairs in the common area. Bolted down of course, the ship has a gravity generator, but nobody wants to get brained by an ottoman during turbulence.
  32. 06[21:56] * Caissa lays down on another couch, stretching out in turn.
  33. 01[21:57] <Shiori> "So, what movies do you like?"
  34. [21:59] <Caissa> "I beg your pardon?" She raises an eyebrow
  35. 01[22:01] <Shiori> "All this calling me a barbarian and you don't know what a movie is? It's like a picture that moves and has a story."
  36. [22:03] <Caissa> "I know what a movie is, I'm wondering why you care to ask."
  37. 01[22:06] <Shiori> "Because I want to watch one."
  38. [22:07] <Caissa> "Nothing with hacking, nothing that's just mindless explosions and shameless women. So basicly: Nothing produced on Micheal's Bay."
  39. 01[22:08] <Shiori> "Easy enough, I don't think we own anything from there."
  40. [22:09] <Caissa> "Thank all that's holy."
  41. 01[22:09] <Shiori> "Here, how do you feel about odd anti-AI propaganda films."
  42. [22:10] <Caissa> "They are hillarious."
  43. 01[22:12] <Shiori> "Don't say that in front of the captain. The only times I've seen him cry are watching this one." She puts in 'The Frontier Braves', a love story about colonists outside AI space. The movie ends with the young couple being murdered by Great Filter proxies, but their son survives and swears vengeance. It's well produced and acted, surprisingly, but the premise is kind of ridiculous and it's obvious propaganda.
  44. 01[22:13] <Shiori> Despite all this, Munashe cries at the ending every single time he watches it.
  45. [22:14] <Caissa> "...you've got to be kidding me. Cries?"
  46. 01[22:14] <Shiori> "Again, don't say that to his face, but yeah. He's part of the Mandelan Diaspora, if you've heard of that particular incident."
  47. [22:15] <Caissa> "Right..." She smirks though.
  48. 06[22:31] * Shiori lets the movie finish, then turns it off. It's a cheesy ending, but it works. "So what do you do for fun?"
  49. [22:33] <Caissa> "Fun? I play chess or tinker with my drones."
  50. 01[22:33] <Shiori> "Ah. I like to garden myself. It's quite relaxing."
  51. [22:34] <Caissa> "Gardening? I'm guessing hydroponic, concidering well..." She gestures to the spaceship around them.
  52. 01[22:34] <Shiori> "Not at all. Would you like to see?"
  53. 06[22:34] * Caissa shrugs. "Sure, why not?"
  54. 06[22:36] * Shiori goes to her room, opening the door and letting Caissa into the small area.
  55. 06[22:37] * Caissa heads in.
  56. 01[22:39] <Shiori> There's a small trough, about 2'x 3'. In the trough is rich, black dirt, and flowers. Dahlias and Peonies, right now, with a UV lamp perched above them to provide light. The flowers are growing quite well. "I'm doing a Summer cycle right now. It's been tricky to get the humidity right in here, but it's been getting good results.

  58. [22:42] <Caissa> "...I'm honestly suprised."
  59. 06[22:42] * Shiori smiles. "You like them?"
  60. [22:43] <Caissa> "They look rather decent. Normally when I hear about someone 'Gardening' on a ship it's either food or recreational drugs."
  61. 01[22:44] <Shiori> "Ah, nothing so crass. I love gardening. I love the ability to promote the growth of beauty even in such a space as this."
  62. 06[22:45] * Caissa nods. "I can appreciate that." She raises an eyebrow at Shiori, though less mocking than before.
  63. 01[22:46] <Shiori> "Would you like one? A few of these peonies are in full bloom."
  64. [22:48] <Caissa> "...that would be rather nice, thank you."
  65. 06[22:49] * Shiori grabs her gardening gloves and shears, kneeling next to the trough to pick a nice one, and clipping one. After, she stands and gives the pink flower to the woman. "Here you are."
  66. 06[22:50] * Caissa takes it carefully. "...thank you. That is rather nice."
  67. 01[22:51] <Shiori> "Anytime. I tend to do some of the decoration in the common rooms, so feel free to ask me if you need another."
  68. 06[22:53] * Caissa nods, slipping it into a button hole in her collared halter top.
  69. 01[22:54] <Shiori> "Well, we've got a little more time before anyone else should be around. Anything else you want to do?"
  70. 06[22:55] * Caissa looks over Shiori, taking in her looks for a moment.
  71. 06[22:57] * Shiori isn't exactly conventionally pretty. She can be if you look at her from the right angle, but the giant burn scar on the left side of her face (and her creepy cybernetic eye) tend to ruin that.
  72. [22:58] <Caissa> "Hmm...maybe."
  73. 01[22:59] <Shiori> "Hm? Plotting something?"
  74. [23:00] <Caissa> "Maybe. Anything you want to do?"
  75. 01[23:00] <Shiori> "Well, I was just gonna lay down and relax a bit."
  76. [23:02] <Caissa> "Maybe some other time then~"
  77. 01[23:02] <Shiori> "Alright then. Want to make out?"
  78. [23:03] <Caissa> "...that was direct."
  79. 01[23:03] <Shiori> "People in my profession tend to live short lives. No sense being coy about things."
  80. [23:04] <Caissa> "...eh, sure. Why not." She smirks. "Another thing I can prove I'm better than you at~"
  81. 01[23:05] <Shiori> "I don't usually think of it as a competition, but it's nice to meet someone who puts an effort out. To the couch?"
  82. [23:07] <Caissa> "Sure~"
