'Sup, doods!

If you're not here reading this update on the day it goes up, no one in their right mind would blame you. It's Christmas, doods! Now's the time to enjoy time with family, time away from work, presents, and, the thing most true for me, a lot of good food.

I spent a lot of time this week recovering from work and actually putting ideas down for the goal #7 objective, the universal LPS broadcast layout. I think I'm ready to actually put some things into OBS, which I will need to do quite a bit of today to prepare for a Super Puzzle Fighter tournament next month. I haven't been giving a status update on my weight loss journey because, at the moment, it has stalled. I think I'm overeating too often, great reflection for when I'm about to overeat yet again. I've held steady at 265 pounds, still down 30 pounds from when I changed my eating habits in July, but I've got a LONG way to go. I've got fat to shed and flab to tighten up. I don't know what the ideal weight will feel like. At this rate, doods, it'll be 2026 before I figure that out.

As for the games I am playing during this massive break, I've all but given up on The Battle Cats because I finished the original story with the base cats and I have no motivation to keep going. I still enjoy my card games and RPGs and, I guess I'm into roguelikes now, so Rogue Adventure has been a fun grind to player level 30 where you can begin to play with the final level-gated class. The starting Warrior class is pretty neat because you can get really defensive with building up shield and, with the final class ability, use that shield to inflict damage. I play Rogue Adventure like I played Yu-Gi-Oh!--by stalling. What do you think that says about me, doods?

Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals (actual priority is in constant flux):

Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. This is the big thing I hope to get done before the next tournament.
Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to give people multiple options, maybe allow spending bits to change the look. I don't have anything written down yet. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon.
Goal #7: maybe make a universal LPS broadcast layout. I have been working on a base, but perhaps I should stylize one for the LPS brand. Let's just say I have plans. Hopefully I wouldn't over-homogenize it like SpeedGaming did. I think I actually need to focus on this ahead of next month's Super Puzzle Fighter tournament.
Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.

Streams are on hold until I accomplish these goals (or February 2). Anything I decide to do will be of the guerilla variety and have very little notice. There would probably have to be community races of some sort in order to get this to happen.
