Bazen backstory

Bazen grew up in abject poverty in <goblin dense town here>, where he lived with his father, mother, and 18 siblings. His father owned a small shop where he sold various bits of "valuable" junk he had salvaged or otherwise acquired- sometimes he would refurbish or fix up these items, other times sell them as-is. His father had aspirations of wealth, which mostly manifested as an unhealthy obsession with combing the garbage heaps hoping for a lucky find. Feeling that he had no real opportunities in the area and wanting to make a name for himself, he joined <some army or military force that makes sense> as a grunt, where he served for several years. During this time he heard about <famous adventurer that would inspire him with acts of bravery and daring>. After realizing that life as a professional soldier wasn't going to get him anywhere, he left (perhaps deserted?) to reinvent himself and become an adventurer. Using his meager savings to buy fancy clothes, coming up with an elaborate backstory involving his impossibly rich father, and believing that so long as he does the right thing people will come to like him and spread his name. More than anything, he desires affirmation that what he is doing is right and that he is loved by the common people.
