I awoke half an hour ago to anguished screaming and a glow that was visible through drawn curtains. It was the sound of someone in unbearable pain.

ALVA-39 made a community-wide announcement, requesting that all of us stay indoors. As if that was truly necessary. Though the screaming ended but a few minutes before I picked up this pen, I have yet to look outside. The glow has dimmed somewhat, but it is still present.

Tolance is the biggest gossip Umui has ever seen, no doubt. Once ALVA has announced it is safe to leave, I will go to them and ask for their account of what has transpired.
