- I want to focus on the latter because this is seriously disappointing. This guy compiles a great list of hate facts, then heel turns on his previous work. Sure, people can discover new information, but sometimes one can make data fit multiple interpretations. There is such a thing as a sanity test fail. For instance, a few years ago he said that there was data that showed a higher minimum wage didn't reduce employment (presumably all else equal). I don't want to sound anti-empiracist, but I don't care what that data says, it's wrong. More than that, it's OBVIOUSLY wrong. You'd think that someone who is aware of the problems plauging peer review regarding any political topic would be more skeptical of charts and data, but autists gonna autist.
- He himself pointed out something similar regarding inference of heritability. If you adopt the absurd "have to find the genes" standard of genetics, then you get a height heritability of less than 10% when it's inferred at about 80%. Observation and common sense tells one that the 10% number can't be correct.
- So now he's poo pooing the ethnonation, saying that based black guys in MAGA hats should be able to come in. He revised his positions on regression to the mean and The Putnam Studies, producing new content. I haven't read enough on regression to the mean to argue that point effectively, but one can easily see Putnam in real life in the form of white flight. I own acreage with an encumbrance on it: I can't subdivide it. Presumably, when I sell it, the next person can't either even if I don't mind. But I can't make a clause that the next owner can only sell or rent it to white people. There has to exist a law to prevent people from freely associating and contracting because it's what they would otherwise do.
- I understand his point that race is a proxy for the traits that one SHOULD care about if one cares about First Worldism, which I do. To that degree, I too am a civic nationalist. If a multicultural/multiracial society can create a first world, pro-liberty, pro-property, spiritually and materially wealthy society, then I welcome it. I've seen no evidence that it can, but I've seen evidence it can't. To that degree, I am an ethnonationalist.
- I also understand his point that whites are not homogenous and that some whites are trash. I'm not a wignat/wigger nationalist. While I have an aestetic preference for whites and I have an investment in the future through my children, I find the concept of white-for-the-sake-of-white to be silly. Similarly, the "everything is Jews" angle is tired. Yes, the JQ is an important question to address, but it can attract morons who want someone to blame for their failings - the same way that do-nothing libertarians can blame their failings on the state. That doesn't mean that mental conditioning doesn't exist and that a lot of shit-tier whites wouldn't be that way except for the conditioning.
- Unfortunately, I think Ryan is taking this too far: conservatives are the real ethnicity? Lol. Not sure if someone got to him or he's taking a side road for a while. I hope he figures it out.
