- Hello, Royal Marine Corps: Written Examination for TGNB/TGAB HRs.
- You are being sent his letter as an HR of TGAB or TGNB who is awaiting testing. As the RMC is eager to get started, we are wanting as many men tested as possible. Since the HRs of our Empire obviously have skill, we have composed a written exam that will automatically place you at the rank of Sergeant, assuming you pass. This is being done as evidently, many HRs are just in the RMC for the spawn (wether for a faster route to the Rock when pirates invade or to save the merchant trip for TGAB personnel.)
- Of course, those who have a real interest can take a practical test as well as participate in trainings in the future, if they wish to achieve a higher rank.
- The test is as follows:
- Define ripple fire:
- Define volley fire:
- Define blanket fire:
- If bayonets are attached, do you auto-reload or auto-shoulder? Explain why this would or would not be done.
- State where the following parts are located. If a deck, state where it starts and ends (i.e. The quarterdeck spans from the mainmast to the mizzen mast.)
- Bow:
- Stern:
- Port:
- Starboard:
- Larboard:
- Maintop:
- Weatherdeck
- Aft:
- Aftcastle:
- Forecastle:
- Mizzen mast:
- Mainmast:
- Foremast:
- Thank you to those who completed this, as it makes our process of filling the ranks in the RMC with skill and knowledge easier. Please note, this is the knowledge level a Sergeant is expected to have. Further knowledge and skill would be expected in the practical exam, if interested.
