  1. [16:06:36] Walking carefully, the girlish Drakanite would walk for bygone, with his hood, hiding his face from the others, he was worried about what would happen if anyone from cindarfall saw his face talking to a Kaor.
  2.
  3. Well, he wasn't worried about what would happen if he had to fight now, but screwing his "desguise" wouldn't be a good thing, atleast not for what he is planning onto.
  4.
  5. Walking close to the energy yokai after several months without even thinking that it does exist, he was excited... wanted to know if he had his informations, or if he did spoke with Rudolfus, actually it doesn't matter... not for now.
  6.
  7. He would gaze to it, the creature was too ruge for him to stare at his eyes, and even if he could, he wouldn't probably be able to figure out what was it's eyes...
  8. (Kariya Aíma)
  9. [16:12:35] Kurokiri had, in fact, not spoken to the Alchemist. He hadn't been able to locate Rudolfus, which was quite a bit of a sore point for the Kaor. It was a botherance to say the least... Even so, when he felt a new presence approaching, he was quick to analyze it and turn to face Kariya. "So you return." his telepathic voice would flow through her mind, calm and even a touch cheerful? It was almost odd to hear the pleasant tone of his voice.
  10.
  11. "Welcome back. I'm glad you have come to find me... I have things for you to do. And of course, as I promised, I have thought upon your request as well... and I have come to a conclusion. I shall explain soon... but first, I need your word once more. Will you aid me in my rise to power, young magi? Will you stand by my side once I have become a true Imperfect being, and aid my plans to excel in this world?"
  12.
  13. He was asking a lot, yes, but he needed to ensure he was not increasing the strength of a future enemy. "I have strength to offer you, but that strength must be used for the right reasons."
  14. (Kurokiri)
  15. [16:25:23] Something that he couldn't promise... loyality. In fact, everything Kariya does is because he want to improve himself, to become fast enough to run after his dreams, even... that he doesn't even know what is it, his will is yet something to be discussed... his purpose is something to be fount. His life is not something to be traded by power.
  16.
  17. -Kaor... i will help you to achieve imperfection, you will help me to find a purpose for my life. I help you to excel the world. You help me to become powerfull. I think i was clear when i said i was going to help.
  18.
  19. He would answer with a smile, even knowing that the thing wouldn't be able to see it, it might sense, but for him... they aren't the same things, helping a Kaor Yokai was dangerous, he knew that he would have to care himself for a long run, and that'd be a pain...
  20. (Kariya Aíma)
  21. [16:32:12] "I see you will offer aid, but not Loyalty... very well. We will speak somewhere more... private. Standing around these woods discussing schemes and plans is never a good idea." and with that, he turned and began to walk away, gesturing the magi to follow.
  22.
  23. "And do try to keep up." he says, glancing back and grinning slightly. He would take off at a... not very fast speed really. He wasn't even moving half the Drakanite's top speed, but what would make it hard to keep up was quickly realized. Glowing chains of energy would materialize around Kariya's legs, thickening the air to forcefully slow their movements, to require more effort to move fast enough to keep up with Kuro.
  24.
  25. To top it off still, he began to create obstacles to force the drakanite to practice his movements. Hurdles, outcroppings, fallen trees, all would crop up in the Drakanite's path for a long journey ahead of them both.
  26.
  27. He was leading them to Trystle Caverns, to his new 'hideout' and base of operations.
  28. (Kurokiri)
  29. [16:42:27] Kariya would laugh a little bit... lending his right finger's tip to his lip, he would glance at the Kaor's "head" that was a good idea, to move out of that place, it was too "dangerous" for them to talk about this kind of business in such a place.
  30.
  31. -In fact, i will be really close... don't worry, heh, it won't take much time if i go with my full speed...
  32. He'd say smiling, it was almost a joke for him, but he kinda liked it, of course, he didn't want to ofence or anything, even if the Kaor would take it as one.
  33.
  34. Well, Kariya would soon find out that it wouldn't be too easy as he tought... it was almost as if he could barely run at his normal speed without using his lightning.
  35.
  36. The obstacules wouldn't be a good thing aswell, trees, animals, dead yokai, and even energy barages... to avoid thoose things... it will be a hard work, Kariya would turn his aura on and try to teleport off from every obstacule, and abuse his lightning to avoid some of them, combining his teleport and speed, he would try to follow the Kaor.
  37. (Kariya Aíma)
  38. [16:47:34] "Try not to teleport. Rely on your speed." his voice rolled out as they entered the Deadland Marshes. The land here was soft, and a wrong step would easily send the foot driving through the mud, stumbling and slowing even the fastest runner... of course, Kurokiri simply floated over it all, making it no issue for him.
  39.
  40. He wanted to push the Drakanite to their very limits, and he knew their kind tended to have fairly decent stamina, so he wasn't worried about running too far. If Kariya failed to keep up, he would slow down, or weaken the energy bindings... although that would of course mean Kariya was just too weak for it at that moment.
  41.
  42. "Show me your upper bounds of power, prove to me you have the determination to achieve your goal of true speed."
  43. (Kurokiri)
  44. [16:58:40] All that was stupid... it was tiring but he managed to dodge them, of course, with the aid of his lightning, he could dodge them. When he asked for him to go faster without the help of the lightning skills, near the Deadland marshes, this means that he would have to simlpy move so fast the could simply looks like he teleported...
  45.
  46. In fact, he wanted to do that, but at that moment, even thinking on it would be something hard to do, but if that was needed to show that he is capable off... he would try to.
  47.
  48. Using his lightning skills that wouldn't just "cheat" like teleporting him away from the obstacules, the young adult would simply try to use lightning as dashes to run away from thoose things, not just that... he had to worry about the soft land, he wouldn't want to fall...
  49.
  50. Even talking was hard, he choosed silence, it was a well choice. Since if he lose his focus at keeping up while running, to talk, he would just fall... and he wouldn't want that.
  51. (Kariya Aíma)
  52. [17:07:12] That was better. Seeing Kariya enhance their movements with lightning instead of simply teleporting was an improvement, and as they approached the Trystle Caverns, Kurokiri only moved faster. Once they were inside, the cavern's hard floors made it much easier to move at high speeds, but a new challenge became the bane of Kariya's existence... the darkness.
  53.
  54. Kurokiri was the only source of light, his shining aura illuminating obstacles for only a few seconds before he had passed onto the next, taking long strange paths throughout the caverns, weaving this way and that around odd corners and through different passageways. The focus Kariya was expending would be more than enough to ensure they couldn't memorize the path, until finally...
  55.
  56. Kurokiri came to a stop just before a large cavern, where something other than himself was emanating bright, blue light. A large growth of glimmering, shining crystals, about 4 feet tall in the very center of the cavern. "We are here."
  57. (Kurokiri)
  58. [17:14:52] Inside the caves.... he didn't have to worry to much, of course, changing from the soft wet floor from deadland marshes to solid rocks from Trystle cave wasn't easy at first, but with time, he managed to get used to it... using his own lightning as a source of lightning, like thworing small bolts of energy when he couldn't see the obstacules.
  59.
  60. After some time, he just got used about how to predict from where the obstacules would come, this way, he could dodge.
  61.
  62. Of course, it wouldn't be something easy to do, he had to be real quick, use his lightning, speed, and try to predict from where the stones, energy blasts and all the other things would come from. Together? The girlyish drakanite never experienced such a hard training method...
  63.
  64. Once they arrived, he could breath a little bit more... once he stoped, it was almost as if his "factory" stopped working after one week working 24 hours per day... it was... weird.
  65. -We... are?
  66. (Kariya Aíma)
  67. [17:21:42] Kurokiri, the endless font of energy that he was, hardly felt tired, although the drain on his mana was noticeable, he didn't worry about it, or feel physical fatigue as Kariya had. "This.... is my newest project." he says, gesturing towards the crystal growth. "Already, I've developed a plan for you to achieve the speed you desire, but it will not be an easy path. The journey to reach this place with me was just the start... If you are willing to undergo this trial, then step forwards and pay tribute to the Crystal."
  68.
  69. He steps to the side, holding out his palm to the gem as a visible stream of power began to erupt from his palm into the crystal growth, feeding it his mana. "Simply unleash your mana into the growth, and the developed plan will be yours to use."
  70.
  71. He, of course, meant if they wanted the knowledge, this was the last step they had to take before Kurokiri would tell them his plan for their new ability.
  72. (Kurokiri)
  73. [17:30:14] Would turn to the crystal with a gaze... what was that? Maybe it was a way to give mana to him, well, he couldn't supose anything, but he wasn't worried about that, everything he wanted... was that power...
  74.
  75. -I acept it.
  76.
  77. Slowly walking close to the crystal, the young Drakanite would extend his right hand, taking off his gauntlet, touching it with his soft hand, closing his eye for a bit, as his mana would manifest as lightning shocks, he was just too used at using lightning...
  78.
  79. -I want this speed, in fact, i don't know why... but i just know i need this power, to be faster than my dad, to run after my dreams without being stuck to theese chains. I say again, i acept it.
  80.
  81. He would still wait with his right hand on the crystal, awaiting for something to happen, deeply excited.
  82. (Kariya Aíma)
  83. [17:38:46] The Crystal would react as any volatile mana consuming crystal would... shimmering with power as the mana was hungrilly absorbed and rapidly crystallized. Glowing yellow outcroppings would form along the gem in multiple places, although they were puny compared to the crystal mass itself. Specks of power among a sea of contained energy. "Keep your hand on it as I speak." he states calmly, pacing back and forth slightly.
  84.
  85. "I have watched the way you move... and I have taken into account your current abilities. As such, I have developed both a method of training to use... and a particular use for your magic to attempt." he states, his crystal continuing to draw upon any mana that was offered to it. It would likely put Kariya in a state of no magic for a day or so by the time it was done, as long as they didn't pull away. It wasn't painful, but it was definitely odd...
  86.
  87. "For training, you will want to find magical weights. If I am not mistaken, these can be found in most cities for relatively cheap. Attach them to your legs, and ensure they are heavy enough to slow your movements as I did. Keep them on twenty-four seven, and continue to train yourself to move faster. When you can achieve a speed equal to your best now while wearing them, only then should you remove them." he explains the first half. "This is speed you should attempt to accomplish without magical aid."
  88.
  89. "As for your magical training, I want you to find a state between your magical aura, and the ability to turn into lightning that many magi have shown to me before. Imbue your body with the power of lightning... not to create an aura, but to enhance the speed at which your human nervous systems work. Create a constant flow of power throughout your body, like a shroud of power constantly held beneath the skin... it will require immense focus and constant training to achieve a proper state of control."
  90.
  91. To demonstrate, he held out his hand, burning the image of a human shape into the floor. Beneath the 'skin' of the image, he created an ethereal glow, creating a swirling, flowing, constantly moving layer of power.
  92. (Kurokiri)
  93. [17:50:43] The drakanite would glance upon his shoulder to the Kaor as he explained, Kariya was listening to everything, his "sacrifice" wasn't hurting or anything, so for him, it would be fine...
  94.
  95. As the beast explains, he would start to think about how would him "program" himself to get used to thoose training methods, since just hearing won't be enough, right?
  96.
  97. -Well... i think i can get used to it, i was thinking on magical weights already, maybe for of them at my legs... four at my arms, and if this is not enough i can reinforce it even more... don't you think?
  98.
  99. He would say smiling as he sees the demonstration, in fact, he wasn't afraid of the Kaor, now he is just getting used to him... almost as if they were friends, even deeply knowing that he was doing that for a price.
  100. (Kariya Aíma)
  101. [17:56:41] "If you can achieve nonmagical speed equal to your current best with the weights on, it will mean your mortal body has reached a new level of strength much farther than the strength you have now. This will allow you to push your body further with relative ease. When you remove them, you'll need to readjust to a lighter body, but you'll be able to move much faster.... But, such a rapid increase in physical prowess won;t be enough. If your reactions can't keep up with your movements, you'll have no control."
  102.
  103. He turns again, directing a floating orb around he increased the speed more and more, the turns becoming wider and wider until... CRACK it smacked into the wall, taking out a chunk of stone and obliterating the orb. "And you'll just hurt yourself. Using this aura of lightning you need to enhance the speed at which your body reacts to your commands, and enhance the speed of not just your movements, but the process that your body commands these movements. Your reaction speed needs to be brought beyond the scope of normal mortal abilities."
  104.
  105. "You understand, correct?"
  106. (Kurokiri)
  107. [18:01:48] Would bow in agreement, he wasn't smiling anymore, Kariya was just... staring the beast as it speaks with no expression, he was just wonrering about how exciting and hard this training will be, but even this hard, everything will serve for his ascension.
  108.
  109. -Well, i think i can do this, using my lightning to get myself used to the high speed huh... increase my non magi body to a point i would be as fast as i am now... i understand, this will be hard, but i think i can do it...
  110.
  111. He would say glancing to the crystal once again... it was still draining his magic, he just wanted it to end, but he couldn't know when it would, well, in fact, not using his magic would be hard... but he can do it, he believes on that, even having no one to aid him on that, training alone might be... hard. He always trained with Brom by his side... but now he is gone, and probably Kariya wouldn't know so soon what happened to him.
  112. (Kariya Aíma)
