[22:09] <~Kroked> "A memory" says a vaguely familiar baritone voice
[22:09] * Subaru sits up and looks around the room.
[22:10] <Subaru> "This a dream or somethin'?"
[22:10] <~Kroked> the room is fairly spartan, and not really decorated, having only the bare essentials. sitting on the bed across from you is a man in a black Leather jacket, with a blue button up shirt under it, his dark brown hair tied in a long tail behind him
[22:10] <~Kroked> "Technically, yeah"
[22:11] <Subaru> "So, who're ya?"
[22:12] <~Kroked> "Name's Nate, you technically met me not to long ago... well kind of, at least"
[22:12] <Subaru> "Oh right, yer that big angel guy with the long memory replay thing."
[22:13] <Subaru> "So, what's up?"
[22:14] <~Kroked> Nate shrugs "Sorry about that. you pile up a lot of memory in 322 years"
[22:14] <Subaru> "S-should I call you Jii-san then?"
[22:15] <~Kroked> "..." Nate waits a moment, as if his mind were mentally calculating or something, and than he blushes and looks away "Hey, im not /that/ old, I'm the youngest of all of us"

[22:18] <~Kroked> Nate mumbles a little before shaking his head "So, you ok? that was some thing that just happened."
[22:19] <Subaru> "Well, y'know I was kinda expectin' somethin' like that ta happen, but it still hurt in a buncha different ways..."
[22:20] <Subaru> "Still, ya need hardship ta get stronger and ya need sadness ta know happieness. So it's not all bad"
[22:22] <~Kroked> Nate gives a small smile "That's true too."
[22:22] <~Kroked> "So, do you understand just how dangerous this is now?"
[22:23] * Subaru rubs her neck for a bit, "Yeah...."
[22:24] <Subaru> "Almos died back there."
[22:25] <~Kroked> "It won't be the first time. this isn't a good situation, and you guys were never meant for this kind of thing... I'm not going to lie to you. there's a good chance you'll die"

[22:26] <~Kroked> "Knowing what this means now, are you still ok with this?
[22:27] <Subaru> "I said it before didn't I? Ya all fought as hard as ya could with that same risk."
[22:27] <Subaru> "Plus, I want ta do this."
[22:28] <Subaru> "I want ta see the world as a peaceful place again, so I'm gonna try my hardest to make a world like that exist again."
[22:30] <~Kroked> Nate gives a small smile. "You really are  brave and kindhearted kid, you know that?"
[22:31] <Subaru> "I jus grew up watchin too much people like that."
[22:32] <Subaru> "Not too good at much, so I help out where I can."
[22:33] <~Kroked> "Well, I'm glad they toguht you so well. maybe if you'd been in my place, things would have gone well. if i hadn't been so naive and afraid... maybe we wouldn't be in this mess"
[22:33] * Subaru nervously laughs for a bit, "He...he...right....taught."

[22:35] <~Kroked> "That's why i said it yeah" he chuckles "I havent poked around too much though. I don;t feel its fair to invade your privacy like that"

[22:42] <Subaru> "Ya alright? Yer blushin a lot."
[22:43] <~Kroked> "Well, uh.... basically, this is from a place called nona, around the first time i came there, before i was blessed or whatever its called. I was in a sort of trial, and it was in nona i met my second love."

[22:45] <~Kroked> "It's... not exactly bad. it's very hard to explain though"
[22:45] <~Kroked> "Basically, it;s a trial to enter paradise"
[22:45] <~Kroked> "A person who is doomed is sent here for a second chance"
[22:45] <~Kroked> "But they have to pass the trial first"
[22:46] <Subaru> "Gonna guess it's not good."
[22:48] <Subaru> "So.....um....sorry kinda bad at small talk."
[22:48] <~Kroked> "Paradise is certainly good, a place of eternal happines... But, I didn't quite agree with the Angels methods of selection was all. I guess i felt it was too severe?"
[22:50] <Subaru> "Gonna guess it involves a lotta death?"
[22:51] <~Kroked> "Yeah. You're sent into one of 4 maze-like cities with locked doors, and told to survive for 9 days. most of the cities arent actually that dangerous, not countin enviroment,a s long as you all perserve food, and keep moving you'd be fine..."

[22:54] * Subaru is looking down at the bed, "Jus like Lord of the Flies...."
[22:55] <Subaru> "S-so.....was there anything else ya wanted ta talk about?"
[22:55] <~Kroked> "No, you came to me. not knwoingly i guess, but dreams dont really... work, anymore. its hard to understand"
[22:55] <Subaru> "I don't get ta talk with guys much cuz of my job so I dunno how ta act with them in a conversation that well..."

[23:03] * Subaru begins to fidget with her hands, "Well, I dunno what ta say really. I was born in Yokohama and lived there for a while. About 4 years back my dad got transferred ta another city so we moved out with him. I met the others at school and became friends with them. Then my dad got laid off and my mom and him had to search all over the place ta get part time work. I really wanted ta help out
[23:03] * Subaru somehow but uh....I'm not that smart ta be honest. All I did was watch tv and play video games. I used ta take a bunch of dance and singing lessons so I figured I'd try ta become an idol."
[23:04] <Subaru> "It actually worked pretty well, I was even able ta start helping with some bills and I moved inta the dorms to lessen how much money I made them spend more."
[23:05] <Subaru> "And that's pretty much how my life went....nothin major so far..."
[23:05] <~Kroked> "...I don't think you give yourself enough credit. i think you're pretty amazing"
[23:08] <Subaru> "Well, bein honest...I kinda always wished ta experience an anime like adventure...So what I saw so far is still 'normal' ta me."

[23:11] <~Kroked> he nods "I can understand that. Afterall, my life was quite the opposite. and that was the norm for me. I wished i could have lived a life like you but... well beggers cant be choosers"

[23:36] <~Kroked> Nate looks at Subaru with a troubled, uncomfortable glare, like that of a man who must explain to his paraplegic daughter that her dreams of becoming a ballerina will never come true.

[23:38] <~Kroked> "...huh?" Nate doesnt seem to understand

[23:47] * Subaru begins to frown, "I know what it means....It was just wishful thinking..."
[23:48] <~Kroked> "Theoretically, you have ... one fourth of my power. I couldn;t tell you exactly what, it could be specific things, or just everything dumbed down"

[23:50] <~Kroked> he shrugs "Normally one 4th probably wouldn;t amount to much"
[23:50] <~Kroked> "But, I was a god. so, 1 4th means a bit more"

[23:52] <Subaru> "....Is this like a dramatic boast you'd use or were you actually...."
[23:55] <~Kroked> he shrugs "More or less. Our offical titles are Angels, the Angels of Nona. I was Nathan Reed, the Angel Faith. We were normal humans who were basically ascended by a powerful god I named Novem. so, we're sor of... Minor or Middling gods, under a bigger one"
[23:56] <Subaru> "Ahhh, I getcha. Kinda like the lesser gods in Shinto..."
[23:57] <Subaru> "Well.....I dunno what else ta ask now."
[23:58] <~Kroked> "I guess I know little about shinto but... Angels are a little different, it's very hard to explain. Our power is based off of what we beleive to be true"

[23:58] <~Kroked> "I didnt truly gain my power until i beleived i had it"
