  1. It were like a cat to a rabbit, little resistance found aside from the tucking in of Ocelot. However, eventually, their bout seems to come to a conclusion through mere submission to the pain.
  2.
  3. Mudge fought like a beast of nature more than a man, their blade swung in wide curves as if it were but an extension of their own arm. A tool used for pure offense, with little regard to defense. The few wounds Ocelot had inflicted received little attention, his assault remaining relentless.
  4.
  5. However, as Ocelot would cower down, submitting before the true end of their bout, Mudge can be seen grabbing the man by the throat, charging to slam him into a tree. His vixen mask comes close, analytically picking apart every detail of his face.
  6.
  7. "Too old. Too senile." The man begins in a doubtful tone, turning his mask to the right of his face. It still served its purpose of hiding his visage, but only in one direction. Now, ocelot could see the fangs of Mudge bare. They are not the fangs of a Vampire, instead dripping counts of venom and the likes. His blade is thrust into the ground, before Ocelot's arm is grabbed, and yanked forward. Without so much as a pause nor hesitation, his jaws part to take in the flesh of the mans bicep.
  8.
  9. It burns, like the hottest of acids searing his flesh. Filed and sharpened teeth sink into the mans upper arm, before fabric and flesh is torn ajar, leaving a thick downpour of vermillion ichor to stain his sleeve, and the grass below. He is discarded to the ground, with the wide-eyed man staring. His gaze were mismatched, one eye bearing an oversized green pupil, and an equally vermillion sclera.
  10.
  11. There is a giggle, with the man licking his lips, biting into the chunk of flesh a few times, before swallowing. A monotonic glare is sent his way, followed with dry words.
  12.
  13. "You were right-- You taste like shit."
  14.
  15. Crimson dyed spit finds its way sent onto Ocelot, before Mudge aims to depart Northbound
  16. (Mudge)
  17.
  18. Fight, flight, freeze. Every option was used and Mudge's responses to these option were as expected from a predator. Don't think. Don't stop. Don't take a moment to wonder what was happening — it's food, that's all.
  19.
  20. The Quetzal's scythe barely swung, and his wings remained tufted in what would have been his second wind. His eyes widened, directed to the grass beneath his feet; lost in thought. He was frozen. Barely responsive even when his predator lunged at him full force and slammed his body into a tree. There was no point in fighting back. No adrenaline to keep his blood pumping, he had nothing to gain in the contrary.
  21.
  22. As soon as the Ryujin's venom soaked teeth released their hold onto Ocelot's flesh and pulled away, the latter's slitted eyes panned up at the former.
  23.
  24. He muttered something underbreath, something about choking...and then he just let himself slump against the tree, his head falling back. An apathetic gaze was panned towards the newcomers in the area...
  25. (Ocelot Corsair)
  26.
  27. He had just entered the scene, woah so cool right? Kane was very eager to do something, anything.
  28.
  29. The sight wasn't a good one.
  30.
  31. Ocelot had been defeated, again. Sigh. This one looked pretty bad, whoever this Mudge person was they obviously weren't anything near a good person. That man was hurt, and the guy who just hurt him was right here. Kane had options, but he blacked out.
  32.
  33. Flames took his being. Pillars of flames rise as his gaze settles on Mudge, fierce winds emit from his sleeves in response as the swordsmen prepares himself to not only capture this person, but fight if needed.
  34.
  35. "Whoever you are, that ain't how we handle things around here. Get ready!"
  36.
  37. Without warning Kane flew at Mudge! His speed was incredible, far better than anyone in this area. It was his specialty and the only way this man would escape is if Kane were to mess up.
  38. (Kane Cooper)
  39.
  40. ^
  41. (Kane Cooper)
  42.
  43. Mudge didn't so much as turn before they hurled themselves out of the way, wings carrying them not beside, but overtop of Kane. Needless to say, his evasion of the scene failed. By the time Kane would have turned to face Mudge, his vixen mask would have been replaced upon his visage, a friendly sounding chuckle emitting from behind the Nyeshk mask.
  44.
  45. Mudge's own blade were raised now, his posture lacking form, almost relaxed with the loosely held blade in his hand. The tip of the Nyeshk nodachi is poised towards Kane, with a grin slowly spreading from the sides of his masked. More-- And they had come to him. What an unusual turn of events--
  46.
  47. And Mudge weren't one to turn such an opportunity down. Wordlessly, combat would ensue.
  48. (Mudge)
  49.
  50. Ocelot Corsair is now observing Kane Cooper
  51.
  52. You are now observing Kane Cooper
  53.
  54.
  55. Mudge says, "995 s"
  56. Noel Elisheva is now observing Mudge
  57.
  58. Mudge has sustained an injury in battle...
  59.
  60. Mudge has rolled 2 or over: they may escape capture attempts (unless otherwise specified)!
  61.
  62. Kane you can't keep getting hurt they say.
  63.
  64. Kane slow down.
  65.
  66. I can't. It's in his blood, he's born to be what he is. This man had done a misdeed. He beat on an old brittle man, one that has been taking this sort of punishment for decades. Kane couldn't help, but feel for Ocelot. They were alike in some ways.
  67.
  68. Everyone keeps pushing them down. No more, it was time to flip it. Kane went at this battle like he does most, no holding back-- all out offense. It works for the beginning of the fight too.
  69.
  70. Mudge was on the defensive for a great deal, as Kane attacked with one handed sword swings along with strikes from his mythril limb. Whoever this was they weren't an easy win. Kane had just begun to notice that his body isn't as responsive, the artificial limbs were hindering him and when he went to swing once more Mudge would avoid!
  71.
  72. The battle took a different turn as now Kane was the one taking punishment-- he doesn't know how to defend. So he just got hit, naturally blood and bruises form as the older male attacks back.
  73.
  74. C'mon Kane. For Ocelot. Fuck. Him. Up.
  75.
  76. He took a stab-- thankfully it was nowhere vital. Kane used this as an opening, his left arm encased in earth and a plethora of different elements. Powerful winds, topped off with some mean flames. "Aye! Try pickin' on people your own age you coward!"
  77.
  78. Smash! Right in the jaw, Mudge was sent flying. Kane put a lot into that strike, the sound of cracking bones could be heard. However the deed had been done!
  79. (Kane Cooper)
  80.
  81. While Kane and 'Mudge' fight, Noel hurriedly makes his way over to the injured elder resting against the tree. His medical knowledge still left much to be desired, but he couldn't risk leaving the man to his fate. The wounds seemed brutal, and he knew that the elderly man might not be able to make it to Cruxati or Crafthold.
  82.
  83. "Alright, alright. Hang in there for me, alright? I have enough supplies to get you stabilized and on the path to recover, but we'll need to get you to town after."
  84.
  85. He helps Ocelot sit up with one hand while the other digs in his pack to search for the bandages he had borrowed from Thera and Kairi. Sterilizing the wound came after slowing the bleeding, but.. a closer inspection reveals the traces of venom from the attacker's fangs.
  86.
  87. "Bad bad not good.." He mumbles as his holy water magic is applied. It would take time, but the intruding poison is slowly diluted, extracted, and flushed out, should the man consent. "I'll have to take you to Shizuko or Kairi, but.. how are you feeling? Can you stand?"
  88.
  89. The bandages are held up and over to the man, if only to start wrapping them around the wounded area.
  90. (Noel Elisheva)
  91.
  92. Jhin would take it upon himself to assist Noel in the process of mending the elderly man's injuries, attempting to remove a bit of gauze and extend his palms out beside the downed individual. Golden wreathes of flames gently gather along his body, only to gently center itself along Ocelot's body, unless he had provided information that exorcist energy would adversely affect him to some degree.
  93.
  94. "This'll numb the pain, as well. You should not wander alone out in these parts, it's dangerous, Sir." He states quietly, trying his best to sternly warn the man the dangers of what laid out in the wilderness. Even so, he wasn't as experienced in medical practices, and would do what he could..
  95.
  96. Even if it was a bit of a minor role, at the moment.
  97. (Jhin Wvelven)
  98.
  99. It had been years of isolation. Half a decade of hell inside a room of concrete walls and steel bars. The light of day were a sight, and slowly, Mudge had taken more and more to his new life.
  100.
  101. It'd be a lie, for Mudge to say he didn't know the children in whom had gathered around. Children of Huangzhou, that a dead man had fought to protect. Latorre were his name-- But Mudge loathed the idea of such a man so much as existing, even if it were himself. He were a failure, a reject, an outcast of the Divine being which that man had loved ever so much.
  102.
  103. He felt his blade tear through flesh, unaccompanied by the sorrow or grief he may have formerly felt. But no, Mudge were not a man-- He were a tool, at least, in his own eyes. A tool for gathering food, a menial, boring existence, and yet he continued it.
  104.
  105. He felt his blade collide with another, sending him into a howling fit of laughter he failed to understand had begun. He were a prisoner, trapped within an enthralled body. He wanted out, he wanted--…
  106.
  107. "Fuck you!"
  108.
  109. It were a shrill screech, before the blade rams through Kane's shoulder. The kimono the man had worn had been shredded, the several exchanged blows he'd have failed to realize leaving his attire in scrappy, bloodstained tatters. However, before much else can be said, his close proximity were a mistake. A fist of stone was sent forward, sending him flittering through a dense growth of foliage-- Causing so much as a tree to explode into splinters upon contact.
  110.
  111. He could have been seen, dragging his feet outside of the bushes as blood flows down his chin, pouring onto the grass below in that is may have even left a trail. However, he does not remain. Unable to speak, he can be seen charging forth-- Lunging on all fours, in which he were sent flying off at the behest of his verdant wings.
  112. (Mudge)
  113.
  114. Ocelot hesitantly looked up at Noel and nodded. Letting the edges of his boots anchor into the dirt, he leaned further against the tree and rose onto his feet. There was some clumsiness to his gait, but...he seemed overall fine, an occassional wince here and there.
  115. (Ocelot Corsair)
