  1. you might have seen this video in which Raymond magically grabs a point high on the wall in the sanctuary of stone and fire one so what is happening here this teleport effect is caused by the game thinking you are grabbing a Ledge but teleporting you to a wrong location to achieve this effect we use a very new glitch called grab location manipulation or GLM for short this glitch allows us to change the grab location which is the position the game will teleport Raymond to when he is close enough to a Ledge and grabs it in this video I will display the grab location with a blue marker normally this location is updated when Raymond grabs a Ledge however we can trick the game into updating this location without actually grabbing a Ledge to do this we have to land on the ground in a place close to a floor that has a Ledge grab property set to true displayed in green here Raymond actually has four collision spheres used for detecting ledge crabs if one of these four spheres touches a Ledge curve above floor the moment Raymond lands on the ground the grab location is shifted both horizontally and vertically what direction the grab location moves in depends on the direction that Raymond is facing how much it moves horizontally is constant and how much it moves up depends on what happened before Raymond hit the ground if Raymond did a jump from standstill the grab location rises by 0.8 units if your emitted a jump ball moving forward to grab location rises by 0.6 units [Music] but if the straight button is held one Raymond lands the grab location arises by three point two units there are more actions that can affect how the grab location moves I've listed these in this table after the grab location is shifted the game checks for any collision on a line from the grab location to zero point nine units below it if any collision with the level is detected the game attempts to teleport Raymond towards the grab location it's possible for this teleportation to be interrupted by anything in between Raymond and the grab location if the teleport is successful Raymond will be in a hanging position at the grep location there's a few actions which will reset the grab location def warping game overing swimming pending our water plane or a deadly water plane and hitting a slide the following actions will not reset the gratification flying with a barrel riding a shell and grabbing a purple loan now how does all of this work in the video of Sun and fire one first we set the grab location by hanging on the ledge then we align ourselves with a three stump a set of ravens angle jumping near a tree stump will cause a grappler to update because on landing one of RAM is ledge craft spheres will touch a green ledge grab a ball floor first we use to strafe jumps to raise your application quite a bit now we do a bunch of normal jumps to move the grab location over or lonely more once the grab location intersects with the wall Raymond will teleport that's a short explanation of the GLM glitch in Raymond - in this video I use Ray map a tool to view Raymond 2 maps to visualize the grab location and the level geometry if you have any questions feel free to ask me in the comments thanks for watching [Music]
