[2:01 AM] Kiri: and they decided 'you know what I really don't like being stuck in what's effectively a celestial kiddiepool'

[2:04 AM] Kiri: also it gives Yharon slightly more presence beyond being a surprise final boss

[2:19 AM] Leafia_Barrett: regarding the Sol and Lilac scene, all I really have in my head is the part where Sol arrives
[2:19 AM] Leafia_Barrett: Sol calls out and Lilac is actively stunned, "holy shit is that who I think it is" turns to face the source of the voice and gets promptly pounced upon by Sol
[2:21 AM] Kiri: How does the invasion start
How does Lilac react to it
How does it go initially
What do she and Sol say to each other when the PowerGlomp happens
What does this do for the situation
When does Red come in since he ends up there I think
How does Lilac take Sol trying to set her up for the shot that takes out the mage general guy
[2:21 AM] Kiri: just, to get an outline of bulletpoints to write around and flesh out from there, if it helps
[2:24 AM] Leafia_Barrett: Lilac returns the hug, and is snapped out of her shock when she feels something wet on her shoulder and realizes Sol vaguely resembles raw hamburger and is bleeding a bunch, asks "did you seriously come here by yourself in these conditions?!" and is generally extremely concerned before getting interrupted by a javelin embedding itself in the ground as a reminder that "hey there's kind of an invasion going on here, you may want to handle that first"
[2:25 AM] Leafia_Barrett: Lilac's response is just to stare down the etherian goblin or whatever they are and say "Do you mind? We're having a moment here."
[2:25 AM] Leafia_Barrett: and to be fair they are enough of a non-threat to warrant that kind of nonchalant response

[2:29 AM] Kiri: like, they're the 'forces' of the dark god king of hell Yharon insofar as they are his creations
[2:29 AM] Kiri: he's literally been sleeping since he put them there
[2:29 AM] Kiri: and has actually no idea they're doing anything
[2:29 AM] Kiri: to say they're underequipped is a bit of an understatement
[2:29 AM] Leafia_Barrett: the fight would be more of a quasi-action scene than an actual fight

[2:30 AM] Kiri: in Sol's take of the scene, what happens with the archmage works out just because everyone is good and cool

[2:31 AM] Kiri: after Lilac takes the shot and cracks all his gems in one volley(edited)
[2:31 AM] Kiri: she up and tells him off like 'Dude. That was jade, amethyst, and topaz. I can't even call that 'bargain bin' magic because that implies someone would bargain for it.'

[2:32 AM] Kiri: and the only reason he's anything resembling a threat is that Sol is literally running on empty
[2:32 AM] Kiri: and being a distraction
[2:32 AM] Leafia_Barrett: he didn't even manage that much in the actual gameplay, did he
[2:34 AM] Kiri: he literally died before he came onscreen
[2:34 AM] Kiri: I didn't realize there was a boss.
[2:37 AM] Leafia_Barrett: after the fight, Lilac notices Sol's overloader's blinking and is like "jesus Sol how long have you had that thing on now, sit down and turn that thing off and I'll call someone to pick us up"

[2:38 AM] Leafia_Barrett: yeah, basically
[2:38 AM] Kiri: also... I was just put on a train of thought
[2:38 AM] Kiri: regarding, why precisely the OOA decided to invade Terra
[2:38 AM] Kiri: specifically, of all universes they border on, the one in which their godking resides
[2:39 AM] Kiri: I'm just sorta suddenly struck with like, a big ol' nonsense idea storm

[2:41 AM] Kiri: - they're exceedingly upset about being basically shoved in a box and ignored for 20k years give or take
- they're invading specifically to overtake the surface to claim resources to go to hell to slay their spiteful god
- Betsy is a dragon; obviously this means she's Yharon's daughter who inherited Wrath and is helming their charge

[2:42 AM] Kiri: let alone Ninth Circle Dragons or whatever we wind up calling them
[2:42 AM] Kiri: who are like. no. you can't stop them. they pick something they want to have happen and it occurs. there will be a body count.
[2:44 AM] Kiri: this happens as it does between a number of reasons
- Gaia is gone and no longer keeping out the bizarre eldritch beings she doesn't understand
- they had a few hundred years to prepare
- it intensifies around the lunar event because boundaries between universes thinning and all
[2:44 AM] Kiri: Rilicia would probably recognize Betsy in some capacity up to and including 'this means something is wrong' and 'this probably implies she's not to be reasoned with'
[2:45 AM] Kiri: because the she's probably the youngest of Yharon's daughters and thus the last recorded incident of a helldragon being born
[2:45 AM] Kiri: it's not hard to raise an eyebrow
[2:45 AM] Leafia_Barrett: "oh dear. this can only end poorly."

[2:47 AM] Kiri: either we write in a few more invasions to drive home that this is a thing that has been happening and it's not quality, or like
[2:47 AM] Kiri: we really make do with what we have
[2:48 AM] Kiri: and like... intensify the havoc of the lunar event sequence harder by having someone, maybe Rilicia, Serenade and Amande, go through the OOA portals and actually see what the hell is on the other side
[2:48 AM] Kiri: more than likely not of their own volition, at least one of them was accidental and the others followed because oh shit there he went
[2:49 AM] Kiri: basically so they get a moment to see that, like, no, something is not right here
[2:50 AM] Kiri: like, something more to clue them into the Army's real endgoal
[2:51 AM] Kiri: or at least that they're here for more personal reasons than first thought
[2:51 AM] Kiri: ... hell, maybe include the detail that 'why would they be speaking the king's English if this is straight up a parallel universe'

[2:53 AM] Kiri: yeah, Sol's pretending it's not a big deal because she doesn't know
[2:53 AM] Kiri: but Lilac is like... in the back of her mind, almost as an offhand line
