  349. == Background ==
  350. ackster's and Oliver's squad were part of the 38th Lightfoot Brigade PMC in the summer of 2076. They'd
  351. been hired to secure a "shoot location" for a trideo being filmed by Angelic Entertainment that kept
  352. being disrupted by paracritters, shadowrunners, go-gangs, and other road bandits in North Free California
  353. State.
  354. There was a liaison embedded with the troops from New Assets, an elf going by the name Rhianna Sevensen
  355. and while your squad never really had any contact with her, scuttlebutt said she was in tight with the
  356. commander, General Richard Abel, and he was sending out teams from the location on side missions. There
  357. was even talk of Mount Shasta, the Great Dragon Hestaby's old lair being the target of some of these
  358. operations. There was also talk that several of Hestaby's associated shamans had traveled down a dark
  359. path becoming toxic after Hestaby was banished and her lair destroyed. But nothing could ever be
  360. confirmed though the troops that did come back from these "missions" came back changed, clearly haunted
  361. by what they had experienced.
  362. Your squad wanted in on the action though, as sitting on the sidelines babysitting a bunch of drama-queen
  363. diva trideo stars had grown stale and boring after the first few weeks.
  364. The XO, Colonel Jamie Whethers, tapped your squad for a special side mission, a willing extraction, of an
  365. Ares Manager. Maryam Suel was her name and she was also a scientist. What Ares was doing with an off-thebooks
  366. site in the middle of nowhere was anyone's guess but this was supposed to be a simple rendezvous
  367. and pick up well away from the site.
  368. Oliver was feeling edgy about the mission and convinced your team leader that you should be held in
  369. reserve supporting with your drones.
  370. When your squad arrived at the site, Doctor Suel wasn't there and the squad was ambushed. You're not sure
  371. by what are who as your drones were the first things taken out before they could get a clear visual.
  372. Oliver had been knocked out in the initial attack.
  373. He heard his squad shout out warnings over their micro-transceivers and listened to the beginning of
  374. their slaughter before all transmissions were jammed. Jackster tried to take the jeep in but it wouldn't
  375. start so he called in the ambush and humped his way in. By the time he got there, all he found was the
  376. bodies of his team and their gear. All except Oliver and none of his drones.
  377. When a rapid response team arrived, they secured the area. The investigation showed that all recordings
  378. that should have been made automatically by their gear had been wiped. Clearly whoever had set the ambush
  379. wanted no evidence to link them to it. Oliver was considered MIA, likely captured but no trail for him or
  380. the assailants could be found.
  381. Within days, the search was called off and Oliver was consigned to the status of Lost, Presumed Dead.
  382. These events, Jackster's suspicions, especially after Oliver was so quickly written off lead to
  383. Jackster's resignation.
  384. Thank you for sharing your character information. It seems like your character, Nathan Bond, is a human with a background as a Gearhead and former member of a PMC. He has a variety of skills, ranging from mechanics to combat tactics, and is equipped with cyberware and weapons. His current mission and goals are unclear.

Make the description as immersive as possible and include any relevant details that would bring the world to life from my character's perspective."
  793. You find yourself in a crowded street in the heart of downtown Seattle. The sound of vehicles honking and people chattering fills the air, along with the occasional blaring of a police siren or the low hum of a drone passing overhead. The scent of hot dogs and pretzels from street vendors mixes with the sharp smell of gasoline and exhaust from passing vehicles, creating a unique aroma that defines the city. As you move through the crowd, you can feel the occasional bump of someone brushing past you, and the rough texture of the concrete sidewalk beneath your feet.
  794.
  795. As you make your way towards your destination, you notice the towering skyscrapers that loom above you, their glass facades reflecting the sunlight and casting long shadows on the street. The streets are lined with various shops and businesses, each one vying for your attention with bright signs and flashy advertisements. The neon lights and holographic displays that adorn the buildings make the street feel alive and vibrant, despite the crowds and noise.
  796.
  797. You can see people of all types and races around you, from corporate executives in expensive suits to street kids in tattered clothing. Some are hustling to their next appointment, while others are simply taking in the sights and sounds of the city. You can see various types of vehicles on the road, from sleek sports cars to battered pickup trucks, all jostling for space on the crowded streets.
  798.
  799. As you continue on your way, you can taste the smoky flavor of a nearby barbecue joint, and you hear the sound of a street performer playing a saxophone in the distance. You can feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, and the occasional gust of wind that rustles your hair.
  800.
  801. Overall, Seattle is a vibrant, bustling city full of life and energy. The streets are crowded and chaotic, but also full of surprises and opportunities for those who are willing to take a chance.

  907. As you approach the elf girl, you take in the surroundings. The street is bustling with people and vehicles, and the sound of chatter and engines fills your ears. You notice the distinct smell of fried food coming from a nearby vendor cart, making your stomach grumble. You see the elf girl huddled against a wall, her clothes and hair damp from the light rain. Her eyes dart around nervously, and she looks up at you as you approach. You can feel the moisture in the air and the droplets of rain landing on your skin and clothes, and taste the fresh, clean scent of the rain. You smile reassuringly and speak to her in a calm and gentle tone.

  922.
  923. The noise of the street and the rain makes it difficult to hear, but Nathan can smell the aroma of cooking food wafting from a nearby vendor cart. The raindrops make pattering sounds as they hit the pavement and the cars rushing by create a constant low rumble. Nathan can feel the dampness of the air on his skin and taste the faint metallic tang of the rain in his mouth.

  972. The elf girl appears to be around 10 years old, with matted brown hair and a dirty face. She is wearing a tattered hoodie that is too big for her and ripped jeans that are too short. She is clutching a small stuffed animal tightly in one hand, her other hand holding onto the hand of her younger brother, who looks to be around 9 years old. The boy is also wearing ragged clothing and has a scared expression on his face.
  973.
  974. The girl is shy and quiet, but also shows a strong sense of responsibility towards her younger brother. She is protective of him and does her best to take care of him, even though they are both clearly struggling to survive on the streets. They do not have any possessions beyond the clothes on their backs and the small stuffed animal that the girl carries with her.

You lean towards her, and place a gentle hand on her shoulder, looking into her eyes with a fatherly concern. "You really seem to be living a nightmare right now, girl," you say in a calm and soothing voice, hoping to offer some comfort and reassurance. You wait for her to respond, hoping to learn more about her situation and how you might be able to help.

The sound of raindrops hitting the pavement and bouncing off the metal cans nearby fills the air. You notice the tension in the girl's body slowly beginning to ease as you speak, and she looks up at you with a mixture of relief and uncertainty. Her big brown eyes are full of questions and a hint of fear, as if she's not sure whether to trust you or not. You can see the raindrops glistening in her hair, and the dampness of her clothes tells you that she's been caught in the rain for some time.
  1003.

You mention that the job is risky, but that you'll be there to help and protect them every step of the way.

The people around you start to give you a wide berth, some even crossing the street to avoid getting too close.
