  1. The Children of Dr. West: 7 of 10
  2. Burgundy, France
  3. (The agents arrive outside the estate of Elisa Beauvalot, the ground around them is covered in a brittle sheet of snow as are the bare branches of the trees. A woman in a heavy coat and high heels escorts them into the mansion where they are greeted by a tall thin woman in her early 80’s.)
  4. Elisa: (Embracing Connar before kissing him on the cheek) Bonjour Connar, It has been far too long since you last came to visit, if only it were under better circumstances.
  5. Connar: Ce est merveilleux de vous voir Madame Beauvalot. I’m sorry I couldn’t get here sooner, I got your message about the disease and I came as soon as I could. Allow me to introduce you to Mackenzie Sterling, Blaise Varedin, and Kate Burnet, they will be helping us deal with the situation.
  6. Elisa: (moving to embrace and kiss each of them on the cheek) Merci. I’m sorry this had to happen during the winter, Burgundy is some much more beautiful in the summer.
  7. Kenzie: ( hugs the woman and kisses her cheek ) “what can we do to help?”
  8. Blaise: “le plaisir d'être ici Mademoiselle.” (returning the kiss on the cheek and the embrace)
  9. Kate: (returns the greeting in kind)
  10. Connar: Elisa you said you had more information for us?
  11. Elisa: (sighs) I had hoped we could avoid speaking of these matters for a just a little while longer but time is of the essence, come it’s in the dining room. Margery please bring some wine for our guests.
  12. (Elisa, leads them into the dining room, where on the table in a jar is a leech like creature attacking the sides of the jar)
  13. Elisa: The gardener fell ill about a week ago, at first it looked like a cold but then the boils appeared. The doctor said it looked like the plague but the test kept coming back negative, two days later the boils burst and these things crawled out of his sores (pointing to the jar). They didn’t always look like this either, when they first emerged they looked more like worms, the longer they were out of his body the more they seem to change.
  14. Connar: Had he been any place prior to getting sick.
  15. Elisa: yes, the woods outside of Dijon, he was dropping off broken branches at a timber yard. Many unusual things have been happening there lately, people are claiming that fire is falling from the sky now, normally I wouldn’t listen to these kinds of rumors, but after the attack on Greenfield I figured it is better to be safe than sorry. If you would look into the situation in the woods and reassure me that the things happening in the woods are only rumors it would put me at ease.
  16. Kenzie: (nods reassuringly)
  17. Kate: (Kate examines the creature in the jar with a disgusted look on her face.)
  18. Connar: We would gladly do that Elisa, however there is no portal near Dijon, so I was wondering if we could borrow one of Muhammad’s cars?
  19. Elisa: But of course, please be careful with them though, he loved them like his children and I would hate to lose any of them. Just tell Margery when you are ready and she will take you to the garage.
  20. Blaise: We’ll take great care of them, like my own kid
  21. Kate: (Kate gives a reassuring smile.) Don’t worry. I’m a very careful driver.
  22. Kenzie: Blaise, you can’t keep a plant alive
  23. (Margery leads the agents to the other side of the house and down a series of stairs to what looks like an extremely clean parking garage. As the lights click on they are confronted by dozens of rows of sports and luxury cars from around the world, some from as far back as the late 1800’s. )
  24. Margery: Madame Beauvalot has said that you may borrow any vehicle you wish, so long as you are careful with it. Let me know when you decide on one and I will get you the keys.
  25. Kate: (Admires the vehicles as they pass.)
  26. (Passing through the rows of cars they come to the end of the 5th row, where they find two cars that were apparently the pride of Muhammad’s collection. On their immediate left, is a Rolls Royce Phantom, the year is not readily apparent but they can sense anima pulsating within its frame. On their immediate right, is a combat carrier that seems be lifted right out of a science fiction film. Its square modular body perched atop four long legs makes it look like an insect preparing to take flight and on its sides are the orochi logo. Despite looking like a prototype, the dents on its sides indicate that this vehicle has been in the field for years.)
  27. Connar: (Walking a figure 8 around the two cars before whistling) tough choice, what do you lot think?
  28. Kenzie: Something that can take a pounding if need be
  29. Blaise: Orochi? This guy one of “them”?
  30. Kate: (Kate frowns at the Rolls Royce, curious.)
  31. Connar:Not really, he was a Saudi prince who had a thing for technology, I imagine he helped finance some of Orochi’s Research but he’s his own thing lad.
  32. (As they continue discussing which car to take, the windows of the Orochi transport open and from the front driver side emerges Tuk’s smiling face.)
  33. Connar: (Looking at the smiling wolf) I guess he’s settled on the Truck. Kate you still want to drive?
  34. Kate: Hm? Oh, yes. I’ll still drive.
  35. Connar: Anyone else have any objections?
  36. Kenzie: Nope I’m fine with her driving
  37. Blaise: If Scoobie doesn’t object I still want shotgun or (looking around for a turret placement)
  38. Connar: Then I guess we will take the Orochi transport Margery.
  39. Margery: Oui Dr Green, I will go get the key card for the crawler.
  40. (Several hours after they departed the estate of madam Beauvalot, the agents find themselves approaching the forests of Dijon. Kate has been speeding the entire way there despite the protests of the other agents save for Blaise (who has been happily exploring the console at the front of the Crawler.) As they near the spot mentioned by madam Beauvalot, a french siren brakes the ambient chatter of the agents, as a squad car comes up the road behind them.)
  41. Kate: Ah, shit. That’s just bloody typical.
  42. Kenzie: Blaise it’s for you.
  43. Blaise: Can’t prove anything; and I was with Scoobie the whole time . (referring to Tuk)
  44. (As Kate tries to pull the crawler over to the side of the road, a rift suddenly opens up in front of them swallowing both the crawler and the squad car. As they fall through the blackness of space the Crawler seems to correct itself like a cat falling through the air. The crawler lands on the alien terrain with a thud that throws the agents from their seats and temporarily disrupting the power. The squad car seems to have landed a few hundred meters behind them.)
  45. Connar:(pulling himself to his feet) Everyone in one piece?
  46. Kenzie: “Ouch. yeah, as well as to be expected”
  47. Blaise: I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore Toto
  48. Kate: (Kate rubs at a developing bruise on her arm.) Connar… any job I go on with you, nothing is ever simple. Just once I’d like to go to a place, do a job and fuck off without being pelted through dimensional bloody warps or whatever the fuck that was. Just once.
  49. (Through the windows they can make out what looks like a Victorian village, with a mansion a few hundred meters outside of it and floating in space above it all is a massive stone castle. The castle is unusual in that it seems to be a spheroid and seems to be the work of many different architects, its details though are obscured by an enormous swarm of ak’ab hybrids engulfing the strange castle like bees.)
  50. Connar:(Looking out the window and surveying their surroundings, his eyes are drawn to the castle floating above them.) Shit, shit, shit. (Sitting down, he begins to tap his feet as he tries to think of way out of their situation.)…Ok good news bad news time, the good news is I know where we are and I know how to get us home.
  51. Kenzie: What's the bad news?
  52. Connar: I’m pretty sure the thing in the sky is Third Sundays HQ, so we can expect to be attacked any moment now and if they feel threatened they can send everything they have against us.
  53. Kenzie: We lie low until we get out of here they would never know
  54. Blaise: Here I thought we found the city of R'lyeh
  55. Connar:I should be able to scale up one of the conduits for Agartha so that it can send us and the crawler back to France, but it may take a few hours. So Kenzie, Blaise I need a distraction, can you two go into town and cause some havoc?
  56. Kenzie: I was afraid you’d say that
  57. Blaise: Chaos really Doc? but I haven’t gotten you anything for the New Years bash
  58. Connar: Kate can you go get the police officer who fell through the breach with us?
  59. Kate: No problem.
  60. Connar: Also take Tuk with you, there are things out there besides the filth, and it is always a good idea to have someone watch your back.
  61. Kate: Alright. Come on Tuk, we’re going for a walk.
  62.
  63. Kate and Tuk:
  64. (As Kate and Tuk step out of the crawler, they can hear someone cursing in French to the south of where they landed. Traveling over the barren landscape, they come to a crater where the police car landed, in the center is a police officer standing atop his car swinging a collapsible baton at a small group of Ak’ab hybrids that have gathered around the car. )
  65. Kate: (Kate swears and draws her usual paired SIG Sauer pistols from their shoulder holsters. She runs to a reasonably close range then slows to a walk, opening up on the ak’ab, picking her shots carefully.)
  66. (The Ak’ab hybrids turn their attention towards Kate and begin to charge as they fall to her bullets. As they begin to turn to her, Tuk leaps from a near by shadow and seizes one of the hybrids by the throat. Shortly after the wolf pup emerges from Kate’s chest and charges the remaining hybrids almost as if she doesn't want to be left out.)
  67. Police officer:(shivering on the hood of the destroyed car) où suis-je!, suis-je mort?
  68. Kate: Non, et si vous pensez comme si vous êtes alors vous serez bientôt. Restez près de moi et je vais vous garder en vie.
  69. Police officer: (shaking his head) Oui.
  70. (As the four of them return to the crawler, Kate can't help feel they are being followed. Tuk has sidled up next to her as has the wolf pup (whom seems to be right at home in the breach.) The police officer never more than a few steps behind them shivering and scurrying along behind them. Just as they are within eyesight of the crawler, Kate can see a disturbance in the ground as if something is moving underneath it.)
  71. Wolf Pup: (Growling at the distant movement.)
  72. Kate: (Kate looks at the disturbances in the ground with alarm, knowing what it likely means. She speaks to the officer with urgency.) Temps pour un tour de ferroutage. Hop sur. Maintenant.
  73. Police officer: vraiment, Pouvez-vous me porter ?
  74. (The ground seems to erupt in a plume of dust as an enormous black worm with a face full of round teeth erupts from the ground screeching.)
  75. Isaac: I see the mine worked, welcome to our home Mrs. Burnet (seeming to descend from the sky on a cloud of black bee’s) I see you have also met the 6th plague, he’s not really the talkative kind but the pages have named it boil, for its unique method of reproduction.
  76. Kate: (Barks at the officer) La prochaine fois je vous donne un ordre, vous suivre sans poser de questions! (Then she addresses Isaac) How many times do I have to kill you, Isaac?
  77. Isaac: that is not dead which can eternal lie and with strange aenons even death may die. I will die and be resurrected like our lord until I’m no longer needed. You on the other hand may not be so lucky.
  78. (The worm begins tipping over as it attempts to swallow the four in one go.)
  79. Wolf pup: (Biting Kate ankle, she pulls her and police officer into a flash of light, taking them to the other side of the worm. Tuk seems to have teleported to the other side of the crawler.)
  80. Connar: (popping out of the crawlers doors, he tosses a metal canister at the worm, which explodes in a flash of orange light causing the creature to dive again.) Sorry to interrupt but I think we may need to relocate the crawler. (Pulling tuk back into the crawler, he takes it around to Kate and the police officer.) All aboard!
  81. Kate: (Kate shoves the officer on board the crawler ahead of herself, pausing to take an anima-charged shot at Isaac. Because why not? She’d follow inside once the officer was safely within.)
  82. (The shot seems to be absorbed by the cloud of black bee’s, the officer stumbles into the crawler as Connar attempts to speed away from the fight only to find that something has wrapped itself around the rear axle of the crawler. )
  83. Connar: Shit, Kate can you take the wheel, I have got to go cut us free.
  84. (As Connar opens the door another smaller worme forces its way into crawler, pinning him against the wall.)
  85. Police officer: (screaming in terror)
  86. (Tuk and the wolf pup latch on to the creature and pull a few appendages free as Connar drives his sword through the worm, which seems to cause it to retreat. The creature has left a sizeable gash in his arm which is filled with wriggling leach like creatures (similar to the kind in the jar.) Looking out the window Kate can see a look of joy coming over Isaac's face almost as if he had defeated an entire army on his own.)
  87. Kate: Jesus fucking… Restez ici! Et tais-toi! (Kate gets out of the crawler and rushes to Connar. She puts her hand on his arm above the gash and focuses her will on using Connar’s own blood to push out the parasites.)
  88. (The worms have already buried themselves to deep to be reached by conventional magic.)
  89. Connar: (shivering as his eyes begin to roll back into his head), I’m ssss sorry Lilly, I’m sorry John, i, i, i
  90. (Outside the world seems to be shifting, the bleak hell scape burst into flames, as dead people from every age begin to rise from the ground. Over the air Kate can hear a woman and boy screaming for someone to save them.)
  91. Lilly: Hold on John, I’m coming!
  92. John: Mommy help, I cant breath!
  93. (the masses of dead people seem to be advancing on the crawler which is still held by the worm.)
  94. Kate: (Kate looks around, wild-eyed. She curses under her breath and tries to take Connar’s sword from him.)
  95. (As kate tried to take the sword, she feels something bite at her ankle looking down she’s sees the wolf pup has bitten her, this bite is followed by golden spear emerging from her wrist. the wolf pup runs to the back of crawler and begins scratching the tentacle that has wrapped itself around the crawlers axle.)
  96. Kate: (Blinking several times, Kate decides just to go with it. Feeling like she’s going insane, she stabs at the tentacle with all the force she can muster.)
  97. (The tentacle withers and dies as another smaller worm erupts from the ground and attempts to attack Kate only to be block by the wolf pup, whom seems to grow as the battle progresses. Before Kate can lunge forward to meet it though something grabs a hold of her leg. Looking down she sees the face of a concentration camp prisoner staring back up at her)
  98. Prisoner: You could have saved us all and you chose to do nothing, why , why didnt you act, you knew they were going to kill us, it was in your power to stop it why didnt you act!?
  99. Kate: (Kate looks down at the prisoner.) Sorry. (She thrusts down with the butt of the spear, trying to knock him loose.)
  100. (The prisoner dissolves into a mass of worms, freeing Kate. The wolf pup (still continuing to grow) is holding the other worm at bay)
  101. Kate: That’s just bloody disgusting… Come on Connar. Nap time. (She swings the haft of the spear, aiming to knock him unconscious and disrupt whatever process this is that’s feeding from his mind.)
  102. Connar: (Grabbing the spear)...other end...in the arm. (he seems to be trying to fight whatever is holding him.)
  103. Kate: (Mutters) If you say so… (She moves to stick him with the pointy end. In the arm, where the worms burrowed.)
  104. Connar: (anima blasting from his eyes, Connar lets out an ungodly sound as the worms attempt to wriggle out of his mouth before dieing on the floor. Trying to pull himself to his feet.) Give me a moment to catch my breath and I’ll be ready to get us out of here.
  105. (As he finishes, the main worm burst from the ground ahead of them and begins tipping over in their direction again. Staring in through the windows of the crawler (about 2 meters off the ground) is the wolf pup, now roughly the size the crawler itself.)
  106. Kate: Uh… Connar? Duck. (She does this herself, crouching down, steadying the spear haft against the ground and angling the sharp end up at the worm as it tips down towards them.)
  107. (the crawler seems to fill with light as the spear hits the black underbelly of the worm. the crawler is knocked back a few hundred meters as the worm seems to collapse in on itself, erupting in a shower of blood and filth. the cabinet is floods with the foul smelling mixture but it seems to have been neutralized by the creature's death)
  108. Isaac: (descending to the ground) I see, I must do everything myself.
  109. (The Wolf pup has since put its now enormous head in the cabin of the crawler and seems to be asking Kate to climb on.)
  110. Kate: (Kate doesn’t mess around. She does as the massive pup seems to want and clambers on.)
  111. (Pulling its head out of the crawler it begins to rush Isaac, Isaac running to meet the wolf, fist at the ready. A well timed shot would put the spear right through Isaac's heart.)
  112. Kate: (Kate threw javelin a few times back in school, but it’s been a long time. She hopes she still remembers the technique properly as she throws the spear, aiming for Isaac’s chest.)
  113. (The spear sails through the air toward Isaac as comes within millimeters of hitting him, the spear then seems to dissolve as the pup shrinks to its original size, throwing them both to the ground. As Isaac prepares to strike, a black claw seem to come from nowhere and grab Isaac by the neck.)
  114. Worth: My, my, Knight Lt. you certainly have come a long way from when I last saw you page.
  115. (A look of terror spread over Isaacs face as a lean muscular man, with long gray hair and beard crawls out of thin air and on the the battlefield. Dressed in a tattered templar uniform, and clutching a sword covered in filth. He smiles at the visibly cowering Isaac.)
  116. Worth: Don't make that face boy, come embrace your former master.
  117. Kate: (She pushes herself up from the ground, gives her head a shake and looks on at the scene, taking a couple of steps back. She moves to grab the wolf pup by the scruff of the neck, with the intention of high-tailing it to the crawler.)
  118. Isaac: I’m not afraid of you the lord commander appointed me to this assignment himself, you wouldn't disobey him would you?
  119. Worth: You have no need to be afraid of me boy, in fact I have come here to promote you. (Pointing at the ground, a black hole opens up beside them.) The Lord Commander has deemed you to weak to continue fighting, thus you must train and harden your resolve, with the lord servants.
  120. Isaac: Please no, I almost had them!
  121. Worth: So did I. (hurling Isaac into the portal, as it snaps shut behind them.)
  122. (The Crawler comes screeching up besides Kate and the wolf pup as the officer steps out to help them aboard before Speeding off towards the village (which now appears to be burning.) Out of the rear window Kate can see Worth eyeing the Crawler.)
  123. Worth: (scowling at the crawler, he turns and begins to ascend towards the castle in the sky.)
  124. Kate: That… was too close for comfort. Merci beaucoup.
  125. Police Officer: (smiling and nodding) soyez le bienvenu.
  126. -merging files-
  127.
  128. Kenzie and Blaise:
  129. (The village seems to be completely deserted save for a single mechanical carriage driven by one of the Ak’ab hybrids, driving it in a circle around the village looking for nonexistent passengers. The village looks as if hasn’t been touched in centuries, peering into the windows one can see homes just as they were when (or if) village was inhabited. Food set out for families who will never come home, fire places that haven’t had fire in them in years, unmade beds and coats shoes that were cast aside by people who intended to come back for them later. There is however one building that seems to have been used recently, a tavern named the smiling end, has a light on inside and through the window they can see a Templar coat hung over a chair next to a bottle of wine and what looks like an old music box.)
  130. Kenzie: (Ducking inside the tavern, she searches the tavern for any other signs of life. Finding only dust covered stools and tables. She moves to examine the wine bottle.)
  131. (The bottle appears to be from the earlier Third Sunday vintage (likely infected with the first strains of the filth derived virus.) The bottle is cold and it looks like it was open and never finished, the lack of smell coming from the bottle means that it’s likely been months since it was first opened.)
  132. Kenzie: (comm:) “ We have something from third age fragments here. We should find better containment if we are to run into more of these.” (Turning her attention to the music box which she quickly puts in her pack, her eyes come to a painting on the wall of a small blond woman with large brown eyes. The woman in the painting seems familiar but she can’t quite place her. Her attention then turns outside to Blaise who has been examining the houses.)
  133. Blaise:(Carefully examining one of the houses) I think we should start with a bonfire, don’t you? (begins singing) I don't want to set the world on fire I just want to start a flame in your heart (summoning a fireball to his fist.)
  134. (As Blaise prepares to set fire to the village a flaming stone flies past his head, down the street from them is a creature whose distorted face is that of a child’s, hidden behind a mass of finger like tentacles covering the lower part of his face. His impossibly thin arm pointed at Blaise)
  135. Tentacle Child: I am the storm the 7th plague and everything must burn (As he raises his arms over his head, the sky seems to catch fire. As the swarm of ak’ab hybrids descend into the inferno, The flaming monstrosities begin charging Kenzie and Blaise in a suicidal frenzy as more of the fiery stones begin to fall from the sky.)
  136. The Storm: Burn. Burn, Burrrrn! Burn it all, everything must burn! more fire! More!
  137. Blaise: (Yells at the storm) I’M SINGING HERE! (Teleports to a roof and draws his sword distracting it from Kenzie. Taunting) You’re ruining my song! (flanking from the side keeping clear fire lines. Positioning himself to have The Storm do the destruction of the town for him) “Wait why do ‘You’ want the town to burn?”
  138. The Storm:It has to be cleansed, all of it! Kings, beggars, all of it, holy fire will envelop the world and lift us up into god’s embrace. NO NOT THE STICK. (The sudden slip of sanity seems to have caused him to lose control of his power, as he begins to bring down flaming debris in all directions. The ak’ab hybrids seem to be seeking out the fire in order to term themselves into living weapons. )
  139. (As Blaise begins cutting down the hybrids in a attempt to draw fire away from Kenzie, Kenzie see’s a boy in a burnt night shirt beckoning her towards a large house at the end of the road.)
  140. Boy: (Speaking in an unusually thick Irish accent) Hurry Ms. Kenzie, Mr. Blaise! he can't get us in here.
  141. (The boy seems to be franticly beckoning them into the house. The longer Kenzie stairs at his face the more familiar it looks. The fiery stones falling from the sky begin to burst into pieces over head the burning corpses of the hybrids begin to pile up in the street. Only a small collection of homes near the house the boy is standing in, remain unburnt.)
  142. Kenzie: (Looking at the boy and then back at the storm.) I know I'm going to regret this, Blaise follow me. (Kenzie turns and runs towards the boy.)
  143. Blaise: (flickering back down from the house.) Right behind you.
  144. (The inside of the house is dimly lit by the pale yellow light from a series of electric lamps on the walls. Upon closer inspection it is discovered that the lamps (which almost certainly use to hold candles) have no light bulbs but still produce light.)
  145. Boy: I can’t believe it’s really you! Daddy told me all about you when he came to visit for Christmas, I never thought I’d get to meet you though. I have so many questions about everything! But we have superhero things to do first, follow me, I have to show you something.
  146. Kenzie: Daddy told you about us?
  147. Blaise: (as he carefully studies the boys face his cheshire grin slowly returns.) Lead on lad.
  148. (The boy leads them through a seemingly endless corridor of twisting hallways until they finally come to an enormous room filled with treasure. The dimly lit rooms seem to contain valuables from every corner of the world stretching back thousands of years. The boy leads Kenzie and Blaise down to a corner of the room filled with valuables that seem to be from 20th century Europe. Among the racks of designer close, boxes of jewelry, and shelf’s of antique books, there is a wardrobe carved with the face of a Chinese dragon. Next to the wardrobe there is a pile of gold bars stamped with swastikas and a purple bag from which a foul odor is emanating.)
  149. Boy: In here Mr. Blaise, there is a clay medallion you need to take with you.
  150. Blaise: (Carefully examining the dragon carved in the medallions surface, he can feel anima flowing through it.) So what does this do lad, give you super powers, summon demons, unlock the gates of hell?
  151. Boy:Take that to the northernmost point in Kamchatka and the shaman of the Sami will teach you how to be a Dragon Rider.
  152. Blaise: I don't know what that is, but now I have to find out.
  153. (The boy quickly moves away from the wardrobe and begins looking through a rack of clothes.)
  154. Boy: Over here Ms. Kenzie, in the right coat pocket there is note book. One of Nicodemus friends from the illuminati was here looking for it, but he couldn't find it, it is suppose to have a code that opens a secret vault somewhere under New York. He was real mad that he couldn't find it, so I bet there something that could help you inside.
  155. Kenzie: (thumbing through the notebooks pages)... I’ll look in to it, what did you say your name was again.
  156. Boy: I’m sorry I forgot to introduce myself, my name is John Green.
  157. (The sound of footsteps can be heard echoing through the room, this seems to alarm the boy who fades away in front of them.)
  158. Dr. West: (emerging from behind a bookcase) You two have a rather troublesome habit of turning up in places where you are not wanted and it seems you are also thieves. Give me what you took and you can go outside and fight the storm, refuse and you will have to fight me.
  159. Kenzie: (cocking her shotgun) Back off.
  160. Dr. West: Do you really think you can stop me with bullets? What you saw at Greenfield was but a fraction of the power I wield.
  161. Kenzie: (fires a warning shot)
  162. Dr. West: Stubborn girl (summoning an anima charge to her right hand.)
  163. Blaise: (a single green reptilian eye appears before him, no one else seems to see it)
  164. Medallion: (speaking an unknown language)
  165. Blaise: (holding the medallion to his ear) Beg your pardon?
  166. (As the eye fades from Blaise sight the anima seems to drain out of the room, robbing Dr. West of her powers. Before either Blaise or Kenzie know what is happening, they find themselves enveloped in a flash of light and returned to the city outside. The Storm seems to have set the entire village ablaze looking for Blaise and Kenzie.)
  167. The Storm: (dredging through the streets, the creature is on the verge of tears as he casts fireballs into the old homes.) Where are they! I have to find them! I can't leave until they are dead!
  168. Kenzie: (Not hesitating, she begins firing at the storm trying to force the storm back into a flaming house)
  169. The Storm: (the shells seem to dissolve in the inferno around him. The storm responds by bringing down another torrent of fire)
  170. Medallion: (the green eye reappears before Blaise flooding his mind with a series of pictures. Snowflakes and ice crystals adhering to shotgun pellets and then turning to flame, causing the metal pellets to explode)
  171. Blaise: Guess its worth a shot (Summoning ice blast to his right hand, he freezes one of Kenzies shots as it reaches the storm and sure enough it passes through the wall of flame and bursts in front of the creature.)
  172. The Storm: (screaming in agony, he begins to fling fireballs randomly as the village turns to ashes around.)
  173. Kenzie: (cocking another shell) Keep it up Blaise, I think were almost done!
  174. Blaise:(giggling as he summons another ice blast) Will do but if this last more than four hours, I think I should see a doctor.
  175. Kenzie: (firing another round of shells at the storm) Not the time or the place, Blaise!
  176. (As each shot hits the storm, the fires around him seem to grow weaker. A strange mixture of blood and filth begins pouring out of his wounds that seem to close just as fast as they open. The Storm becoming visibly weaker he tries to summon one last fireball, before being knocked back by one final shell.)
  177. The Storm: (as the mixture of blood and filth seems to slink away from the storm’s body, he begins to cry like a hurt child.)
  178. Kenzie: (cautiously approaching the storms body, she pushes aside the hood that once hid the tentacle covered face.)
  179. (under the hood she sees the toothless mouth of a weeping child propped open by four metal hooks, his arms and legs appear to have been removed along with his tongue. The child openly weeping in pain.)
  180. Blaise: (Shaking his head as he sees the crying child.)
  181. Kenzie: (summoning an anima charge to her hand, she runs it over the child face, putting him into a coma, before slinging the child over her shoulders.) I think its time to go.
  182. (As the city burns around them, Blaise and Kenzie begin running towards the outskirts of the village, only to find their path block by a row of collapsed buildings. Overhead they can see a large part of the swarming hybrids breaking away from the castle and descending on the village. As the hybrids pass through the wall of flames blocking their path, the hybrids begin to form a flaming wall of their own, which is steadily advancing towards them.)
  183. Kenzie: (loading another set of shells)
  184. Blaise: (summoning a lightning charge to both hands)
  185. (As Kenzie and Blaise prepare for the onslaught of flaming hybrids, the crawler plows through the wall crushing many of the hybrids under its wheels. As the back door opens Kate emerges, firing both pistols in an attempt to clear the remaining hybrids.)
  186. Connar: (Following Kate out of the Crawler) The conduit is ready, get in we’re going home.
  187. Kenzie: (Climbing into the crawler.) We got a guest that needs medical attention.
  188. Connar: (Eyes the child before sighing) bring him in, we will get him to Venice ASAP.
  189. Blaise: (humming I don't want to set the world on fire.)
  190. Kate: (falling back behind them into the crawler.)
  191. Connar: (moving up front into the drivers seat, he connects the top part of a dismantled Agartha conduit to an computer in an open panel to his left. Then as he takes the wheel, he begins to charge it.) Hold on everyone, this is going to be a bumpy ride home. (Throwing the crawler into reverse, Connar backs up the vehicle before turning it around and speeding out of the village.)
  192. (Overhead another even larger portion of the hybrids, seem to have broken away from the castle and have began to descend on the crawler, which quickly begins knocking them out of the air and running over them. The sound of them hitting the crawler, seems to resound throughout the cabin.)
  193. Connar: where at 98% total charge hold on, we're about to leave.
  194. (an orange light to fills the cabin as, they disappear from the other reality and rematerialize about 5 meters off the ground in the back roads of Dijon. As the Crawler falls and hits the road, the agents and the police officer are thrown from their seats. )
  195. Connar: (rattled but apparently relieved that they made it, pulls the crawler over to the side of the road.) Everyone in one piece?
  196. Kenzie: (pulling herself to her feet, while rubbing her head) I’m fine.
  197. Blaise: Not the best ride I’ve been on but still fun, 8/10, would ride again.
  198. Wolf pup: (licking kates face)
  199. Kate: (gently pushing the wolf pup from her face) Thats two interdimensional rifts in one mission, at least this one was a shorter fall.
  200. Connar: Thats good...looks like the crawler also made it through ok, we’ll take it back to Elisa and hopefully, end this for now.
  201. (As they leave the forest of Dijon behind them, the exhausted agents begin to reflect on everything they have seen.)
  202. Kenzie: (thumbing through the notebook she found in the coat pocket, comes across a the solution to a maze diagram and a series of 9 numbers. The rest of the journal is written in Serbian, however one sentence is written in English “they may take my inventions but they will never make them work.” )
  203. Blaise: (showing the medallion to Connar.) Any idea what it might be Doc?
  204. Connar: (carefully examining the dragon carved into the clay medallion) These are usually only given to Agents of the dragon by the mute monks. Its supposed to represent the first truth of the dragon, “chaos is the true nature of the universe”, those who have this token are ready to learn another of the dragons truths.
  205. Blaise: So I’m not suppose to have this?
  206. Connar: If you have it, then you were meant to have it, either by design or by accident. Either way it looks like the Dragon is calling you to Kamchatka Lad.
  207. Kate: (driving the crawler while the wolf pup sleeps on her lap, she can not help but wonder what kind of power this creature has bestowed on her and how she might be able to use it.)
