  1. This week, the all-mighty Mississippi River burst its levees controlling its flooding. The height of the flooding maxed out at 61.72 feet. It broke the record of its previous flooding in 1927 during the Great Mississippi Flood. The river has since crested, and its water level is receding.
  2. Earlier this year, thousands of students protested in Milwaukee about a budget bill. After 67 days, the police finally dismantled the protest in a classroom full of students who had sat in there the entire time. The police arrested and escorted the students out at 4 A.M. this Sunday.
