- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The voice recording begins.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++Impossible. We all saw the damage - how horribly the flesh had been eaten away by the hungry flame, how many fragments the shattered bones had been reduced to, how disfiguring the whole ordeal had been...
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> There is a pause, while the sound of a drink being poured is heard.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++The request of the Lords Rosenkrantz was an impossibility. I, like my colleagues, were not told the identity of the broken man laying before us in such a dreadful state. It appears the information was kept from everyone outside the inner-most circle of confidants of the Lord-Admiral - we knew there would be no room for our curiosity.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++Concerning ourselves no further with the mystery of the patient's identity, we gathered what information we could from what lay before us. The man, clearly a warrior, had a history of violence marked upon his body. Virtually no part of his form was free from the tell-tale signs of violence - thickening of mended bone from fractures past, or, where the flesh hadn't been recently consumed
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> by fire, scar tissue forming over tears, cuts, and puncture to the skin and flesh.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++History written in injury. Aye, this body was accustomed to trauma and healing both, but neither it nor I had ever faced a challenge quite like this. Harnessing the regenerative power of this man's impressive constitution would not be enough. The solution would come in one form - reconstruction.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++We began with the amputation of what remained of the right arm, severing at the shoulder, for infection had taken hold at the otherwise intact upper arm - and now threatened to spread. Following was the mangled mess that was once his right leg and corresponding hip structure. Had the damage not also set the patient alight and cauterized the wounds, he would have surely bled out in a
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> matter of minutes.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++Removal of dead and unusuable tissue from the chest, neck, and head followed, with a similar affair at the lower adbomen, and groin. At this stage, our work looked more like a butchery - were it my place to do so, I would have recommended termination. Thrice did the patient's body fail, and thrice was it brought back during these procedures.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> There is a pause, though the recording continues to capture ambience noise.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The tone of the Chief Medicae Offcier now shifts.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++What is a warlord made of? That, we soon found out. After the procedures which sought to stabilize our patient, the medicae servitors brought in parts for a cybernetic arm, and leg. They began their measurements, and started assembling and shaping the various pieces of metal and circuitry they had brought with them.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++Standard procedure. Enough to bring the patient to good health and function -- enough to satisfy the requirements of that with which we had been tasked. I freely admit that I had already made preparations to continue at once with our research on the curious phenomenon of the mass-pregnancies among the lower-deck crews after our latest warp trantision...
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++This, however was cut short. A woman sharply dressed in the trappings of those who roam the ship's Palace entered with entourage in-tow: Medicae personnel from Battlefleet Koronus -men and women with extensive amounts of expertise between them- as well as rare patterns of specialist medicae servitors.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++She inquires on the status of the patient, gave a once-over glance at the implants that had been assembled and were being prepared to be fitted, and demanded they be thrown out for scrap. It was I who had to intervene, for the overseeing tech-priests were not pleased by her assesment of what they insisted were perfectly-funtional cybernetics.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++Their tantrum came to an ends, however, when the woman produced cybernetics of her own choosing. Already-crafted to the specifications of the patient. Standard treatment protocol, though enough to bring our patient back from the jaws of certain death, we were told, would not be enough.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++Against my recommendations, instructions were passed along to proceed with a series of medically-unnecessary implants. When I protested, she produced a seal which made evident her high station, and my long-supressed curiosity was at last sated...
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++The man we had treated for those long weeks was the Lord-Protector of the Dynasty. As my own heart sank to the pit of my stomach, I came to see why the identity of such a badly beaten figure was kept from a crew prone to the more negative effects of news so demoralizing as this.++
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Chief Medicae Officer de Vigny pauses once more, and sighs.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++At once, we commenced. A body healing from extensive injuries and the chirucgical procedures that followed is a vulnerable one, but circumstances were such, that the...++
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> You are interrupted, as medicae servitors enter the chamber to announce Makh will be shortly dosed with a stimulant to wake him.
- <Baine_Mort> "That is great news, it will get good to have him back on his feet."
- <Balan> "Seems like you had though quite the adventure, Vivian."
- <Balan> "The Emperor blesses me with your safe return."
- <Vivian> "And I, you, Balan. It's wonderful to see you again. I would go in great detail, but I imagine you would already know by now, no?" A faint smile formed. The first time in possibly a while.
- <Balan> "Indeed, it was a wondrous voyage to return the Relic back into the Dynasty's hand and smiting the Xenos scum who stole it."
- <Balan> "Chomun lives and our young lords are safe. You two have done the Emperor's work."
- * Balan he looks over to Mort.
- <Balan> "But there's still matters to discuss. Our duties are still not finished."
- <Vivian> "Indeed. Soon. We need to gather our number. All we can do now, is wait."
- * Baine_Mort nods in agreement, "There is a lot of things that we need to start on as well."
- <Balan> [telepathy to Vivian] "Our sponsors will not be happy should they learn of the Lord Admiral's disappearance."
- * Friedrich ([email protected]) has joined
- * Vivian looks towards Balan. Stepping over to his side, she'd bring a hand to gently rest at his shoulder. "Our Sponsors will have to cope. But for now, until confirmation of certain details, we will have to be very careful of what we say."
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> You are brought into an observation platform - a small and private room overlooking the Lord-Protector's own clean room, where he has stayed during the recovery process.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The door closes behind you, and you are left alone.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Below, medicae personnel enter, checking vital signs, while a chymist prepares several syringes.
- * Vivian watched the medicae personnel rather intently, arms crossed, a rather stoic look on her face.
- <Baine_Mort> "I wonder what his first reaction will be when he wakes up?"
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The temp-control mat which covers him is slowly removed.
- <Vivian> "Hopefully calm. The state he was in, he might wake up swinging."
- * Balan says a small prayer to the Emperor for his blessings.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The right side of his face remains partially covered by the breathing mask which remains attached, but even now you see the reconstructive work from his temple through to his jaw, and chin.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> His right arm is revealed - a cybernetic of superb design, mimicking almost entirely the dimensions of his biological limb.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> His right leg is a matching pattern, a limb of superior construction. Of note, his abdomen, as well as the surviving limbs have slight bulges -- subskin armor, the overseeing chymist explains, as he pokes Makh avoiding the armor plates.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The arm is connected to a portable console, and with a short command the forearm structure moves and unfolds, revealing an internal cavity.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> A weapon is brought, a customized compact firearm, and is installed inside the open forearm segment...
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The second syringe's contents are injected.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Monitoring consoles begin to sound alerts.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Doctor de Vigny, the Chief Medicae Officer enters, then. He checks the vital signs, and waves off the chymist, who stops the procedue.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> He looks up at you, then, "I apologize, my lords. The Lord-Protector's body remains too weak to wake him from his reparative rest. We will stabilize the patient, and call upon you when we are ready for a second attempt."
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> He then turns his attention to doing just that.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> ++My Lords, we have completed the reconstruction of the recovered shuttle. A report will be ready for you shortly, but I'm afraid we haven't found any more substantive clues.++
- <Baine_Mort> ++Understood, Keep us updated on any new findings.++
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> A troublesome development. You took a risk in bringing the shuttle back to analyze it further, and yet you are nowhere closer to finding out what happened to Wilhelm. And now, you have a number of very important decisions to make.
- <Baine_Mort> "Shall we take this discussion to the Sensorium?"
- * Baine_Mort follows.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> You make for the mid-deck levatus, and take it up to the ship's palace on the upper decks. Once there, you are a short walk away from the Sensorium. You walk through the gilded halls, every meter traveled is one exquisitely decorated, the prestige and wealth of the Dynasty in full display.
- <Friedrich> "Is it strange that I feel more confortable in the barren corredores of the Consequence?"
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Once there, House Guard troops stand watch outside the Sensorium, and the door locks behind you. The command consoles light up, then, ready for input.
- * Friedrich takes a seat and motions towards Vivian '
- * Baine_Mort takes a seat at the table.
- <Friedrich> "Turn on something relaxing would you."
- * Vivian turns her head to slowly stare at Friedrich.
- * Vivian just stares at him.
- * Balan takes a seat as well.
- <Friedrich> "Now we must plot our next course of action."
- <Balan> "Perhaps, our discussion should not be spoken aloud, Lord Friedrich?"
- <Friedrich> "Vivian do any of your connections have ties to these mercenaries?"
- <Balan> "I'm taking that as a no."
- <Friedrich> "Perceptive."
- * Baine_Mort looks at Balan, "Unless you can find anything that would mean that this room is compromised."
- * Vivian sighs, then settles into her seat, crossing her arms as she would relax back. "As far as I am aware, they *do* operate in this sector, but it is odd that they would be operating this deep in to this area in particular. Though- Mercenaries. No surprise."
- <Balan> "One can never be be too cautious, Mr. Mort. We are surrounded by threats."
- <Friedrich> "What information do we have about this group? are they a significant force or is it a smaller group?" he asks the group, rubbing his temple
- * Vivian goes on to convey the information that she knows so far, in regards to the mercenary group.
- <Vivian> "What I can do, in the meantime.. Is put out a bolo for the group in question." As Vivian spoke, she would stand and start to pace. "Figure out their habits. Who the leader is." Then pause. "Then we snatch and question him or her. Find out who their contractor was."
- <Friedrich> "Well in the meantime there is little we can do other than continue forward. I expect you all to act as if everything is normal and update me on any new information." he says, standing up "I will also ask you to work to maintain strict disipline among your subordinates, this information is too sensetive to be made public...yet."
- <Friedrich> +Bridge, begin preperations to return to the monestary." He orders through the vox
- <Balan> "As you command, Lord Friedrich."
- <Baine_Mort> "I agree, if word does get out among the crew, moral will fall and we could have another mutiny on are hands."
- <Friedrich> "Any other matters you'd like to discuss with your Captain before we break to depart?" he says, looking around the room as he stresses the word Captain
- <Vivian> "At this point on.. The moment you step out of this room, every action you take will have a greater impact." She'd speak rather calmly, staring forward as she'd come to lean back against the wall. "Any word, any emotion. Anything and everything you do. Scrutinized. I can only stress so much that you must remain calm. Wilhelm is not dead. He is not gone. He is... On a voluntary leave. Until further notice."
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> You hear a knock on the door.
- * Vivian pulls away from the wall and approaches to answer the door.
- * Baine_Mort turns to look at the door.
- <Friedrich> "I do not appreciate the interruption."
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The door opens, and you see an armsman.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Behind him towers the form of Makh. He is staring into the reflection of a combat dagger at his own face.
- * Makh_Chomun grunts.
- <Makh_Chomun> "Schlag, is that me?"
- * Vivian immediately perked up. "Makh. I did not expect you to recover so quickly. Please. Come in." Then she would open the door wider, stepping aside to let him in.
- * Friedrich The tension eases slightly in Friedrich's shoulders as he sees his friend "Makh! how are you feeling?" he says as he makes his way towards the giant man
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> His voice is different, now. A lower grumbling tone underneath his usual vocal range.
- <Balan> "Mr. Chomun. It is good to see you walk among the living."
- <Baine_Mort> "Welcome back Chomun, its good to see you up and about."
- * Makh_Chomun lowers the dagger, his own mind lagging a bit. He hands the dagger back to the armsmen before straightening and striding into the room. "I feel...strange." He says as he walks in. "This will take some getting used to." His voice not at all what he's used to.
- <Makh_Chomun> "It will....take time before I am myself again." He holds his head in one hand, the augmetic hand in fact. "Much time." He grunts.
- <Friedrich> "Maybe now your body can keep up with me in a fight." he says as he extends his hand to the Lord Protector
- * Vivian shot Friedrich a rather nasty look. Angry.
- <Makh_Chomun> Makh looks to his hand before extending and grasping Friedrich's hand with his own, hoping he is not squeezing too hard.
- <Vivian> "Take the time you need. In the meantime, I hate to bring you up to speed like this, but.." Soon after she mentioned it, she would bring Chomun up to speed of the situations at hand.
- <Makh_Chomun> "How did they do?" He asks, almost in desperation, "did the House Guard hold?" He says, to all it should obvious he is asking how they handled themslves after he was felled.
- <Balan> [Telepathy] "Don't mind the young Lord, Vivian. It is a trait of the Rosenkrantz family though his charm will need work."
- * Makh_Chomun takes a seat, one hand holding his half-augmetic head. "What a mess." He grits his teeth. "Emperor forgive me."
- <Baine_Mort> "They just barley held up after what happened."
- <Vivian> [Telepathy] "Balan.. This young fool tried my patience far, far too many times. I don't suppose you could force his charm to be better? ..I joke, of course."
- * Makh_Chomun nods. "I'll need to drill them more," he says almost to himself. He looks around, "Friedrich, where is your uncle? Where is Wilhelm?"
- <Friedrich> "Choman....He is gone."
- <Friedrich> "Kidnapped by mercenaries, possibly dead."
- <Friedrich> "And we have no idea where they are or where they are headed."
- * Makh_Chomun pushes himself to stand up. "Gone?" He walks over, slowly, bringing his arms around his back to hold. "Dead?" He tenses? "Are you certain?"
- <Vivian> "There is no confirmation of death. He is missing, potentially hostage."
- <Friedrich> "We believe it to be the work of those who sabotaged the Consequence."
- * Balan giggles a bit.
- <Balan> "Apologies, I was thinking of the pain will inflict on those who'd challenge us.""
- * Makh_Chomun raises his hand, his new augmetic so he can closely examine it. He then slams it into he wall, again, and again, and again, and again. A sizable dent is found from his abuse of the wall. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION!?" He practically yells.
- <Makh_Chomun> "WHERE."
- <Makh_Chomun> "IS"
- <Makh_Chomun> "HE?!"
- <Friedrich> "The current objective is to return the relic and await information either through Vivian or demands from the group. I will need you to mainatin order among your men and the rest of the crew. I will not have another mutiny." he says this seriously, speaking through Makhs yelling
- * Baine_Mort looks at Chomun, "There was no body."
- <Balan> "Calm yourself, Chomun. Don't strain your body. You had to endurance a lot of pain during the operations."
- <Baine_Mort> "I still go on the assumption that he is alive, I don't think they would go through all the trouble to board his shuttle to kill him then just to shoot it up."
- <Makh_Chomun> Makh's new hand squeals from the abuse of his hand squeezing. "You demand much of me, is he not your family?" A low growl escapes under his breath. "How could you lose him? It is one thing to have him die in glorious combat, but he is lost to mercenary RABBLE?" Makh is very mad.
- * Vivian moves to stand beside Chomun, before bringing a hand up to rest at his shoulder. "Lord Protector. You forget yourself. We have a role to fulfill and as it stands, We are the very beings responsible for maintaining order while Wilhelm is absent. We are hurting, do not doubt that. But we MUST keep calm and remember that our crew needs us to stay strong, otherwise madness will consume and the dynasty will be lost. Do. You.
- * Vivian Understand?"
- * Makh_Chomun starts to shake, his rage barely kept in check. Both at himself and at those closest to Wilhelm.
- <Vivian> "Breathe."
- <Vivian> "I need you to calm. Down."
- <Friedrich> "We will recover him." Friedrich says with a glare "He is my uncle, nobody regrets this outcome more than me"
- <Friedrich> "Now I will be on the brdige commanding my ship, report to me as needed." he says as he pushes past Makh
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The Sensorium flickers to life. Slowly, your surroundings are those of woodlands in the fall, fresh air filling your nostrils with the delicate scent of the flora around you - Makh has inadvertently pressed a rune on the control console.
- * Makh_Chomun inhales deeply, holding it before exhaling. "He told me, always to keep my head, but I knew he was a fool at times." He does the same exercise before calming, ever so slightly. He turns his eyes, one now an augmetic to Vivian and then to Friedrich.
- <Makh_Chomun> "What am I to do?"
- <Makh_Chomun> "I have been shamed before my own men and women, my Captain is missing, and I am out of date, WHAT. DO. I DO?"
- * Vivian promptly gives Makh a gentle swat to the cheek. "Enough!"
- <Friedrich> "Your job Lord Protector."
- <Vivian> "You have not been shamed. You *Survived.* Your men and women Held. The. Line. Do your job and stay strong."
- * Friedrich then exits the room
- <Balan> "Your duties, Lord Chomun. We still have our oaths to keep for the Dynasty and to the Emperor.""
- <Friedrich> +Bridge, estimated time of departure?+
- * Baine_Mort get up and walks over to Chomun, "But first, I still owe you a drink or two Chomun, when you have the chance of course.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> +You may inform Lord Wilhelm that we have made heading for the outer system. In order to avoide detection from the Ork fleet, silent running procedures will be necessary. We will be ready for warp transition in one week.+
- * Makh_Chomun growls some words in his home-tongue. He concentrates visibly his eyebrows twitching irritably. "That is some good news at least," he sighs. "I will do my duty." He narrows his eyes, the usual roguishness gone from them.
- <Makh_Chomun> "Perhaps later, Mr. Mort. I don't think I could stomach any drink until Lord Wilhelm is found."
- <Friedrich> +The Preator Aurora will be under my command until further notice.+
- <Vivian> "I apologize for the slap, Chomun.. Are you feeling well, at least? The augmentations.. Are you experiencing any discomfort?"
- * Baine_Mort eyes him, "Wouldn't think you would be the one to turn down a free drink, but I understand."
- <Makh_Chomun> "I would be lying if I told you I was feeling well, but I appreciate your concern. And do not worry, your little love-tap was barely felt." He tries to smile his usual, but is awkward in doing so with his new face-augmetics.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> +I see. What of the Lord-Admiral?+
- <Vivian> "I'm just thankful that I was able to get you everything that you needed, without Josef lingering about. Lord-Emperor only knows what he would've happily done to you." Then she'd offer a sympathetic smile.
- <Balan> "I must return to my duties as the Young Lord has. Fair well and the Emperor's fortune upon you."
- * Makh_Chomun inclines his head to Vivian in thanks. "I do thank you for helping me able to continue to service the dynasty."
- <Friedrich> +On leave of absence. And I will be taking no more questions.+
- <Vivian> "Of course. I could not stand by idly and let you be cared for when I have so much better to offer. I care for you and your services to our Dynasty. Only the best for you." Then she would look over towards Balan, before offering a smile. "On an unrelated note. I am rather delighted to say, Wilhelm's Astropath, and my Cousin, Balan, will be joining us."
- <Balan> "Greetings."
- * Makh_Chomun nods his head in greeting, not in the mood for much else,:
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> A week passes by in which adjusting to this new reality burdens all of you. While information on Wilhelm's disappearance has been kept among you, it is Wilhelm's personal attendants that are most vocal about their curiosity.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> After all, the Rogue Trader often called upon servants of all kinds.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Likewise, the House Guard appear uneasy.
- * Friedrich does his best to maintain an air of calm and authority, showing no sign of anything wrong
- <Makh_Chomun> Despite his new appearance and feelings and appearance, this doesn't change his attitude towards the HG. He still has them training and working their asses off.
- <Baine_Mort> makes sure that that things goes smoothly over the past week with the crew, keeping his ears open and doing what he can.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Despite initial concern among the bridge crew, Friedrich quickly grows into the position. A younger Rosenkrantz is a Rosenkrantz nonetheless. The unofficial motto of the Aurorae rings true... "A Rosenkrantz must always sit on the Command Throne of the Praeliator Aurorae", and the crew get settled into their routine by the end of the week.
- * Balan returns to his duties in the Astropathic Choir chamber.
- <Vivian> In the meantime of all this, she would have crafted and carefully worded a letter, indicating "Wilhelm's Wishes" while he is "Away in solitude" in the vault. The letter would indicate as follows- Wilhelm is to not be disturbed until he reaches out first. A specific servant has already been appointed with the responsibility of tending to his needs. Friedrich will be acting in his place, and none are to question him. Aside from that,
- <Vivian> make the Dynasty proud and continue onwards for the Lord Emperor's Will.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Distributed through the appropriate channels, the declaration spreads through the ship. Wilhelm deciding to go into seclusion is not by any means unheard of, and the crew carries on as usua.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The Klaxons sound... warp transition is about to commence. The Aurorae makes for Foulstone, to finalize their business with the Ecclesiarchy. To any observing - and there are many such curious eyes on you - everything proceeds as normal.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Thus far.
- Makh
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> You find yourself engulfed in an eternal white. Clean, and blinding.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> No border or frame. An all-encompassing light that is your entire world.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Your ears ring.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Your body is numb.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Slowly, you become more aware.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Your eyes adjust, the light less blinding.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The ringing in your ears becomes the beeps of the monitor consoles reading your vital signals.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The right side of your face, your right arm, and your right leg and pelvis suddenly shoot sensory information to your brain.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Hypersensitivity.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Almost overwhelming.
- * Makh_Chomun spasms as a small sensory overload takes the right side of his body.
- <Makh_Chomun> "Sch-schlag." He mutters pathetically on accident.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> You look down to find the cybernetic gripping at your shoulder, fixed firmly to your torso. Your leg shoots up, pulling against straps, threatening to snap them.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Doctor de Vigny enters, then.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Lord Chomun, you musn't move. Allow me to recalibrate."
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> He walks to your side, and interacts with a console connected to the new limbs.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> This causes the limbs to go numb.
- * Makh_Chomun twitches several times, "ea-easier said than do-done." He tries to joke.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> A terrible itch follows... and then...
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Perfect tactile feeling.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Episodes may still occur, my Lord. Your mind is still negotiating its new relationship with the cybernetics."
- <Makh_Chomun> "Cybernetics?" He asks incredulously. "Is my flesh so weak?":
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> "My Lord... the damage was catastrophic. Your wounds should have killed you - did kill you."
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Were it not for the medical attention we provided, you would not be here."
- * Makh_Chomun merely grunts, his thoughts race about the last time he was conscious. "How bad was it?"
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> What follows is a professorial-like explanation of each of the new systems. It is a lot to take in, especially when the curiosities of the arm's implemented weapon system is brought up. While the normal function of the limbs is something your minds knows to control, forming a bond with the weapon system to make it work is something entirely new. De Vigny shows you images of the damage record
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> on your body across the stages of your recovery. They are chilling...
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> The doctor, however, moves on to immediately check on the reconstructed side of your face, plugging an input cord hear your temple.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Your right eye, jaw, and skull were reconstructed, too. I will show you your own visage shortly. However, there is one last test necessary..."
- <Makh_Chomun> "The Emperor protects." He intones with much difficulty.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> De Vigny walks away to an observation room, and picks up a vox piece.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> +Are you able to hear me, Lord Chomun?+
- <Makh_Chomun> "Yes," he gasps.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> +A vox implant was added during the reconstruction. A control plaque on your new wrist will allow you to alter and tune in to new frequencies.+
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> He emerges once more.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> He finishes his demonstration by beating you on the abdomen with a small mallet.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> Subskin armor.
- <Makh_Chomun> "Who approved this?" He asks in a daze. "I did not approave this!" He says in a wild tone.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> He stings you with a low-dose stim to wake you proper, while food is brought out. Food which, to your surprise, includes Oblast Quail - something you haven't tasted in years.
- <Makh_Chomun> His hands numbly feel the food as if he hasn't touched it in years, the smell stings his nostrils as he beocmes used to it. Soon enough he's tearing into it, chewing and slurping the meal down until nothing but the bones of the animal are all that is left.
- <Makh_Chomun> He breathes heavily from the effort, his body not used to such movement despite the hunger. "I can't rememeber the last time I ate such a meal."
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> "The Dynasty pulled vast resources to aid your recovery, I am told," De Vigny says with a nod, calling his subordinates in. He disconnects you from the monitoring instruments, and makes his leave. The medicae personnel help clean you, yet refuse to answer your questions, citing specific instructions not to debrief you. You are to speak to the Lord-Captain, you are told. Eager for answers
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> as you are, you are given clothes, and a pair of armsmen to escort you to meet Wilhelm.
- * Makh_Chomun grunts in response. Given his current status things haven't gone too bad he must assume. He let's the armsmen escort him, his limbs agile and fits despite their unfimilarity. "How ugly am I now?" He jokingly asks as they escort him to the Lord-Captain.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> As you are about to reach the Sensorium, one of the armsmen hands you his dagger.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> "Care to have a look?"
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> He steps ahead of you, and knocks on the locked sensorium door.
- * Makh_Chomun chuckles, "might as well have a peek." He pats the man on the back before having a view, or as much as he can, via the dagger.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> A low glow of red deep into the retina marks an otherwise perfect reconstruction of the eye. The rest of the face, however...
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> While true to your form, it is a mix of cybernetic and prosthetic skin-like tissue.
- * Makh_Chomun merely grunts, he is a bit shocked but at the same time, not surprised. He knows he suffered at the hands of the ork but at the same time not used to it.
- <Rosenkrantz_GM> What you immediately notice is that Wilhelm is not present at this meeting.
- <Makh_Chomun> Concern grows.
