  1. That announcement changed my life, changed everyone's. Not only were we not alone in the universe, but our far flung neighbors looked almost exactly like us. Every media outlet and social media platform was abuzz, however the most people saw of our visitors were what looked like soldiers clad in shiny jet black armor, almost chitinous in nature like a beetle shell, The visors tinted black to prevent people from getting a look, or maybe to prevent the occupants of the suit from our sun. Two days in I ended up receiving another surprise. I had just glanced down at my computer clock, the time reading about 11:30 am EST, My mind was partly focused on our alien visitors with the other half wondering what I should play, my mind flipping between something on my PSP or a PC game.After finally deciding on what to play I settled down and fired up my PC. As X-Com booted I went downstairs to grab a drink, that's when I didn't just hear something I felt something, the house seemed to shake like a massive quake was occurring. I made a mad dash for my shoes, hoping to get outside in time to see what or where the noise was coming from. Rushing outside I looked around for the source of the noise; there in low orbit and steadily roaring over head was one of the alien craft. It's rectangular shape adorned with various view ports and running lights. At each corner was a massive cylinder I could only guess was the ship's propulsion system. While the ship itself was a dull almost rusted brown, a brilliant pair of cyan strips rang along the length of her sides as I saw her descend
