Ash caught my attention even before the first general election. Back then, she called herself the J-Pop cover queen of Las Pinas City. A lot of us considered her MNL48's hope, as back then a lot of the aspirants didn't even know what AKB48 was, and was clueless about just what being an idol entailed. Not Ash. She knew what she was getting into, and she knew what she had to do. Because of that, I decided to support her.
Right now, though, I like Ash for a different set of reasons. Back then, Ash was known for being cold, shy, and awkward. Now, she's just shy and awkward. She transformed so much during the past year, and it was partly because of her fans. Last year, she was going to quit. The event at trinoma was supposed to be her last. However, she changed her mind when she saw the love and support her fans had for her. She couldn't quit, not while we still believed in her. She never forgot that. Until now, her love for her fans can still be seen. From the weekly Instagram lives, to baking sweets for her fans during events. She makes sure to always let her fans know that they are loved. And in turn, we all give our love to her.
I am willing to vote for Ash because her journey is yet to reach its peak. The past year, she was juggling school and work as an idol. Because of this, there were times when she would sacrifice appearances and events. Now that she's graduating, she can pour her entire time into being an idol. I'm willing to vote for her because I want to see Ash's journey more. I want to see how high she can fly now that she's unshackled from school. I want to see her become the idol she wants to be. I'm willing to vote for Ashley Cloud Garcia because the best is yet to come, and I want to see her reach it.
